FANTASTIC VALUE & QUALITY”
EXCELLENT. Only 8 floors - small, friendly clean and well managed. Super friendly staff. We got the corner delux room w/balcony. Lots of windows - even in the bathroom. Comfy beds and linens Free tuk tuk to main rd and Pleonchit BTS. Hotel has NO facilities but guests can get a free tuk tuk ride to the end of the soi to use the MARIOTT 5 STAR pool, gym, sauna, steam, whirlpool etc. Excellent deal at only 100 BHT a day open till 11pm - Great after an exhausting day in BBK. I have stayed in many different hotels of all levels in BBK over the last 22 years and this is the best deal (FLASH DEAL) I found in terms of price, location and quality. This is THE ONE I will return to on my next trip. For a nice change from Thai food there is a fabulous Lebanese restaurant in the basement of the Pleonchit Center at the corner. Delicious, Authentic and Affordable. Lots happening on the next soi in NANA if you want action, massage, restaurants, bars etc DISAPPOINTING THINGS... 1) Only instant coffee & coffee mate at breakfast and no whole wheat bread or brown sugar - all WHITE! But they do the eggs (poached or omlets) beautifully with grilled veggies on the side and bacon/sausage if you want it. 2) interent does NOT connect in the room on the 6th floor. Need to go to the lounge on the 2nd floor to connect. Despite these small issues (they said they will fix the internet access...) icheck inn is well worth the stay.
I have stayed here many times in the past when it was Marco,Monaco and now iCheck Inn Hotel. Best option for what you get for the price, I paid less than 900 baht per night, you won't find any other hotel including Kitchenette with Microwave and cuttlery, Balcony,Cable TV and DVD player, King Size bed, big fridge and free fast Internet for that price, and in a great central but still quiet location! 12 minutes walking from either Ploenchit or Nana BTS stations, only 7 minutes walking to the worldfamous nightlife of Nana Plaza and another 15 minutes to Soi Cowboy. Lots of restaurants and shopping around, including Villa Supermarket at the beginning of the Soi in Ploenchit Center, even MCDonalds, Burger King and Carls Jr if you get tired of Thai food.Only minor minuses for me is that you have to stand in a bath-tub to shower I would have prefered a walk-in rain-shower, and although many TV Channels most are in Thai or dubbed to Thai language, no music channels, mainly sports and news. During the heat of the day the walk from Sukhumvit down to the hotel can be quite hot, although they do have a free shuttle tuktuk service you can call. Still I loove the place and will be back again!
Staying at icheck inn Soi 2 was a delightful experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the location was superb, and the room was clean and spacious. Besides the bedroom, the "chill room" was the highlight of our stay. This room consisted of a tv, pool table, computer, newspaper, a complementary coffee/hot chocolate/ milk tea machine. The staff helped us manage our trip to the airport and was warm and welcoming making us feel at home.
Comfortable and Great Stay”
We really enjoyed our stay at Sukhumvit Soi 2. It was right off one of the main road in Bangkok and though it was at the end of a street, it was near a Starbucks, McDonald's, and right down the road from the Hotel Marriott. The hotel has a free tuk-tuk that takes you up and and down the street as needed (the walk is about .5-1 km). When we checked in, we were taken to our room and it smelled like smoke (we requested a non-smoking room) and without hesitation the staff moved us and upgraded us for free of charge. We did not buy any food here but there was a refrigerator that we were able to use in our room. As we were checking out, we wondered if the front desk would hold our bags until our plane flight later that night and again, without hesitation (and free of charge) they held our bags until we got back! I liked this hotel for its closeness to restaurants and shops in Bangkok, it's cleanliness, and for their help. I would not recommend getting your laundry done here (it's expensive if you're backpacking--like we were) and you can find cheaper breakfasts elsewhere in the city!
Quiet and comfy in a central location”
I stayed 3 times in Monaco Hotel in the last month. Great location, just 8 minutes walk down the quiet Soi 2 from Sukhumvit Rd, and about 12 minutes from either Ploenchit or Nana BTS stations. Room was a standard Aircon Deluxe, small but well appointed with a Kitchenette and Balcony. Pros: Comfy big bed Free Wireless Internet Samsung LCD TV with DVD/CD Player Comfy TV Lounge Kitchenette with Microwave, Big Fridge, Watercooker and Cuttlery Balcony Telephone for in and outcalls Bathroom with Shower and Bath-tub, Hairdryer and free Toiletres including Toothbrushes Big closet with inroom safe Can use Spa/Gym/Swimming Pool at the JW Marriot Hotel for 100 baht/day Cons: TV mostly News and Sports Channels, no Music or Nature/Science/Animal Channels Prefer walk in Rainshower to Bath-tub Balcony limited space, blocked by Aircon unit Bad lighting at mirrors Inroom safe too small for netbook No inroom foodservice, has to be delivered from outside Other features: Breakfast Restaurant on 2 Floor, 07:00-10:30 9th Floor outdoors Lounge Free TukTuk service to Sukhumvit Rd 24 hours I had a great stay here and will be back again for sure! Great value for the money!

Excellent suits and very good value for money”
Monaco Hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 2, a short walk to the Ploenchit BTS Skytrain and Nana’s nightlife. The hotel offers serviced apartment style rooms and suites, all fitted out with a balcony, kitchenette and beautiful wooden floor. High-tech amenities, such as LCD TVs with cable channels, high-speed Wi-Fi internet access and DVD player, are the standard offering in all room types. The only thing I found not up to scratch was the saftey deposit box as it was to small to hold a 11'9 inch netbook, nevermind a full laptop. I will take the I Pad mini next time. The balcony was rather small too There’s also an outdoor swimming pool with sundeck, indoor Jacuzzi pool, gym and sauna you can use at the Marriott hotel just up the soi. The hotel provides 24-hour security and golf cart pick-up and drop-off to the main road. I used the golf cart a few times and often phoned them from the end of the soi and Rahj Car park. All in all I found the staff friendly and willing to help and met the General Manager who gave me some chocolates as I left a really nice lady.
Good location without too much noise/distraction”
I love the iCheck Inn family of the hotels, but this was my first time at this location. Just as expected it's great. Friendly staff, clean room, spacious, nice bathroom, comfy bed, etc. A bit far down the soi but they have a shuttle to take you to the main road and then you're just a few steps from the BTS. Loved my stay here and would recommend without hesitation.
i'll be staying here again”
ended up here as the Aspen Suites hotel next door was fully booked. soi 2 is 1 of my favorites on Sukhumvit as it's quiet and near to everything, BTS and soi nana. was impressed by the friendly staff on arrival. For the price of the hotel I paid through agoda (about half the normal price) my girlfriend and I was impressed and surprised by the room. the room had all that I required, free wifi, electronic safe, kettle with tea and coffee, microwave, big t.v, a wardrobe that doesnt smell and a balcony for smoking. all of the hotel is clean and well maintained
Nice little hotel in Soi 2”
this is a nice little hotel at the end of soi 2. not far from bts phloen chit if you walk but you can also use the tukutuk service that brings you to the sukhumvit road. the rooms have a good size, the aircon is quiet and i slept good. the wifi is not always available but when its good. i had a nice samsung lcd tv with dvd player. the best about this hotel is the staff, especially the night shift. my smartphone fell out of my pocket when i arrived by taxi at the hotel they helped me with all their ingenuity and at the end i got my phone back!! you are awesome! thanks again! if i come back to bangkok i will stay in the monaco hotel for sure.
My favorite hotel in Bangkok”
I have been traveling to Bangkok yearly since 2004 and having stayed in my fair share of hotels here (primarily Sukhumvit area), The Monaco (formerly Marco Polo) is my favorite. Located on quiet Soi 2, a quick tuk tuk (provided) ride to the action of Soi4, and not far from the BTS. Through Agoda you can usually book this hotel for less than half it's value when rooms are available, making it one of the best values in the city. The rooms are large, clean, great beds, great service.
Would stay here again ”
Enjoyed my stay at the ICheck inn, room was good for the value but the bathroom needs a update as it was a tub and the water leaked onto the floor leaving a mini pool for the bathroom floor. But in all I would stay here again, location is good, quite with no noise throughout my stay. There's a shuttle service to take you up to the main road when needed as well. Breakfast was minimal but the lady made me some great eggs and bacon that hit the spot. Internet was very good too. Even upon checkout I believe it was the manager but whoever he was ensured I had everything and that I was taken care of upon leaving the hotel.
A pleasent experience”
I had a very good experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and even though the hotel is located in the middle of the entertainment area, it is quiet due to its placement, a bit back from the main sukhumvit road. They have this nice golf cart services which runs 24 hours from the hotel to the main road. You just need to call the hotel to come and pick you up from the main road as well. The only grey area are the A/C is not centralized in the hotel. Bangkok being a hot place, it will be better if the entire hotel has A/C. I had to endure the heat in the lift and in the corridors till I reached my room which was a bit of a put off. Also, the positioning of A/C in the rooms could be shifted to the side instead of right opposite the bed so that it covers the entire room. All in all, I had really a very nice experience in the hotel and would recommend to others. I will have no qualms to reside in that hotel during my next visits to bangkok.
Much higher than my expectation”
I am more than happy staying here. I booked 1 Superior room in 3 nights with the cost 35$/night. When I arrived the hotel, they offered me free upgrade to Deluxe Room, which is very good. Deluxe Room is very nice large room with a comfy sofa. However, the bed in Deluxe room is smaller vs. the one in Superior room (I asked the hotel to let me have a look so that I can make the comparison). In terms of hotel location, it is right at Ploentchit BTS station. Icheckinn Ploenchit hotel is at the end of this alley where J W Mariot hotel is located (Mariot is just around 50m from BTS). They have free tuktuk every 30mins to get you back and forth from the hotel to Sukhumvit mainroad. If you go out and come back late after 20:00, you can ask the scooter/tuktuk right at the main road with the cost around 10Baht/pax, or 15Baht/2 people. I love this hotel from the service to the room, the bed... except for just a small feedback on the hot water. The water is not really as hot as I expect. However, comparing the price with the great quality and experience they offer me, I highly recommend it is a very good place for you to stay, especially when you want to experience Bangkok nightlife.
Great hotel at an excellent price”
The Monaco (formerly Marco Polo) is at the end of Soi 2. One of the quieter Sois on Sukhumvit Road. It is close to everything and ideally placed as a base to explore Bangkok. The hotel is modern and clean, the staff are friendly and the price cant be beaten. I wouldnt hestitate in recommending the Monaco as a great place to stay.
Friendly staff, good location”
I stayed at iCheck Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 2 for the first time during my latest visit to Bangkok. Friendly staff, reasonable rates and quiet location. I will definitely return. Free tuk tuk to the main road every 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
gold in dust. ”
i have stayed with my family more expensive hotel thn this. suddenly i found this hotel and i just booked. it more like an apartment. reception guys are too good and friendly. just house keeping is not avaiable 24/7 but cleanning was good. restaurant is only for breakfasts. one suggestion to iCheck inn: though this hotel doesn't have restaurant, they should arrange stove for hungers. it would be great. we love staying there.
Great for a short nightlife break”
iCheck Inn was a great place to stay to get rid of the jet lag before setting off on my travels. Despite it being centrally located near the Nana Plaza complex it remains very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful (they printed off my next hotel voucher). iCheck Inn had a good sized bedroom with a very comfortable bed. For those who like to shop there were a variety off shopping malls in the area. I would recommend this as a short stay.
If you need a place close to Soi 4 party street and sukhumvit then this is for you. On soi 2 there are many similar great hotels but everytime I've returned to iCheckinn I've had no complaints. Rooms are always clean. The receptions guys and gals are great and should get a raise! You can always pay more and get similar room somewhere else with a bit more extras. This hotel doesn't have pool and the breakfast isn't huge. They do have a pool table though and a coffee machine next to it. I will book again.
Dear Mr.Markku. Warm greetings from iCheck inn Sukhumvit Soi 2! Thank you very much for sharing such great feedback on your recent stay. We are thrilled that you found our hotel to be wonderful and that you appreciated so many aspects of your stay with great service and your kind feedback is a true testimony to their efforts. I will be sure to recognize them for their efforts. Once again I would like to thank you for your kind feedback. Meanwhile, the team and I are looking forward to welcoming you back soon for another memorable stay. Sincerely yours, Nattachet Ketsin (Art) Hotel Manager
Easy, comfy and clean”
With it's mini kitchenette and small check in area, it felt more like an apartment than a hotel, which I liked. Room was a little small, but we had a good deal on the price so it was ok. The walk down soi 2 was also a little longer than I initially realised, but they have a shuttle service to get down to the BTS. Staff were friendly and check in and out was quick and simple, which was great as we arrived quite late on the first night. Am headed back to Bangkok and looking at staying there again, when usually I just book somewhere new each time.
