Spektakuler”
Lokasinya cukup menantang karena harus melewati jalanan berbatu yg mendaki. Meski demikian worth it dengan pemandangan yang diperoleh, langsung menghadap ke danau dan gunung batur. Ada hammock di luar kamar, bs buat bersantai. Ada kolam air panas yg juga langsung berhadapan dengan view danau dan gunung. Stafnya ramah sekali dan siap membantu.

Ternyata Black Lava tidak terdaftar di Agoda sehingga uang yg saya bayar hilang sia-sia Ketika sampai di Hostel mereka menolak booking yg telah saya lakukan di Agoda Mohon perhatian pihak Agoda, untuk mengembalikan uang saya Dan hal ini tidak terulang lagi di klien yg lain Terimakasih

Great place to stay for the sunrise tour”
Came here from Tulamben for a night. I enjoyed the hot springs the day before the hike and after the hike. The view is spectacular. The dorm is basic but totally fine once it cools down at night. The property is funky. I want more veggies on the menu, but the food was inexpensive. You start the hike right from the hostel, no need to get in a vehicle & the price was competitive

Yon and his family/staff were truly super. the stay here was exactly what I needed. I was briefly ill and felt 'taken care of' by Yon personally. Never a worry. Bed comfortable, food decent, views amazing. Perfect.

The place for healing”
My third time to be here. Amazing view, you will witness the great lake Batur and mountain with misty fog in front your very eyes, while bathing in hot spring pool. Very affordable price and super friendly staff. The perfect place for healing. Guaranteed.

Couldn’t recommend more for batur hike”
Owner of the hostel extremely helpful in booking excursions as well as ferry for me the next day. Food was very good and great value for money. Amazing views of the mountains. Hot spring available to swim in after a long hike.

If you are looking for a convenient location for a sunrise Batur hike, Black Lava is the spot. It also has a wonderful hot spring on site for a post hike rejuvenation dip.

Spektakuler”
It was one of our favourite accomodations in Bali. the place has an amazing view, is very close to climb mt Batur and the food is really good. Yon is a really nice guy. I would recommend the rooms as wel as the tents. There is not really a shop very near but you can rent a scooter. Was awesome to stay here!

Location is great. Walking distance to hiking trail up Mt. Batur, not too far from an atm, and an close to some decent food. Also the hot spring at the hostel is excellent, and the staff are great.

The good things: -Great View of the volcano -great private hot spring on premises -super clean -modern and comfortable rooms The not-so-good-things: -Everything is overpriced -Food was very bad and bland -They try to sell their overpriced tour upon your arrival Tips: DO negotiate for the hike price or try to sneak out in the morning and do it yourself

The hotel itself is great. The location is splendid, with a nice view of the surroundings volcanos and a natural hot water pool. However, as soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were not shown the room but were rather greeted by a sales speech trying to sell us an overpriced guided tour to Mount Batur (as a side note, the hotel is right on Mount Batur slope, so finding your way there on the morning is nothing difficult). All the rooms were super expensive compared to Bali's average but had a good size and were clean. The hotel also has a restaurant but I would not recommend to eat there. The food was just bad, flavorless and as expensive as the rooms.

What a surprise to get all the way there and explore this beautiful place to stay.. we rented the tent !!! I highly recommend this place…. A 2 hour trekking available from this hostel with a guide to see sunrise in the mountain… Hot spring water pool is amazing… FOOD IS AWESOME!!! 10/10!!

The non paved road towards hotel is a bit challenging at the entrance point. Love the hotspring pool and the scenery. Because this hostel is relatively at an higher elevation than most others nearby, it has a hood view
