Spektakuler”
The Hotel was easy to find and it is located near many attractions so travelling to and fro was seamless. There’s many restaurants and places to shop around the area so you definitely won’t be bored! Staffs were also really nice and was kind enough to explain to me the facilities and amenities✨ Definitely would recommend for a first time solo traveller😊

Nice basic hotel at a great location”
The location was great with 2 metros nearby. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The room is small but has got everything. Free coffee is available at the lobby. I recommend to include the breakfast as well. It was served at the Italian restaurant downstairs.

Unique decoration and low cost with great location ”
I was walking the Tokaido from Tokyo to Kyoto over 18 days, the end of which is the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge. My friends came down to celebrate the finish, and we had a great time exploring the local area. This hotel was perfectly placed for me to drop my back pack off and then head out and explore the area. The staff were very accommodating, always trying to help with questions, communicating my group’s special needs to the next shift, and making sure we had a memorable stay. The room design is also nice, something a little more traditional and unique than your usual business hotel. This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and any travel I make to Kyoto I’m sure to stay again.

Perfect location for group travel near Sanjo Ohashi Bridge”
I was walking the Tokaido from Tokyo to Kyoto over 18 days, the end of which is the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge. My friends came down to celebrate the finish, and we had a great time exploring the local area. This hotel was perfectly placed for me to drop my back pack off and then head out and explore the area. The staff were very accommodating, always trying to help with questions, communicating my group’s special needs to the next shift, and making sure we had a memorable stay. This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and any travel I make to Kyoto I’m sure to stay again.

Extremely friendly and accommodating”
Stayed at Resol with slightly complicated reservations, and the staff were more than happy to make sure changes went off without a hitch. Met with a group of friends who also made reservations at Resol, and the staff was happy to put us all on the same floor. This is was great because the room keycards limit your access to only your floor (you can't freely wander the hotel aside from the 1st floor). The rooms were clean and had a distinct Japnese / Kyoto-esque theme to them. The view really depends on the room (my first room looked out onto the wall of the neighboring Cross Hotel, and my next room barely opened a crack). But the atmosphere of the room was more than enough for me, view aside. Resol is near Sanjo Ohashi and in the Kawaramachi neighborhood. It's seconds away from food, convenience stores, karaoke, and shopping. The closest train station is about a 5 minute walk. In a prime location for a base of operations in Kyoto, and with one of the friendliest and most helpful staff teams I've ever met, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Kyoto.

Great location and excellent room, the room was not big but definitely enough for couple. The room was well furnished with a touch of traditional Kyoto style, worth it!

The hotel is super nice and clean!”
Probably one of the cleanest hotel I've stayed. Room was not too big but it's well prepared and designed. There's a traditional matcha set provided. The bed was comfortable and location is good to walk around. Would love to stay here again.

Tatami mat flooring”
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Japan. Staff was very amenable, exceptionally clean, great location - about a 5 to 10mins walk to the station, and right across the market. Small room with limited storage space for clothing and other items but I really loved the tatami floors. It was a hassle having to always take off your shoes right after you get in the door.. And if you forget something on the table as you were heading out, guess what.. Take off your shoes again before you can go and get it. Nevertheless, it felt really good to experience having a tatami mat floor.

Perfect little oasis in the heart of Kyoto”
Possibly the best hotel I've stayed at in Japan! Perfect for a couple, plenty of space (in terms of Japanese hotel rooms), very modern and stylish. Comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, and they have a blackout door to cover the window! Love the little Kyoto-esque touches, like a matcha set instead of coffee in the room and the zen entrance. Perfect location, easy to get to everywhere (especially Gion!). We've found that hotel rooms can be a bit warm in Japan, thankfully the window opens so we can sleep well. Highly recommend!

This is a great hotel and an utter steal at the current low prices, 70 percent off. Perhaps folks will still be happy with the higher prices because of the great location.

Lovely room aesthetic, fair price for Kyoto”
Hotel Resol is in an excellent location, the aesthetic of the hotel is lovely. For Kyoto it's competitively priced as hotels book quickly. The staff and amenities were great. We washed our clothes there and the dryers are not very efficient - expect to hang your clothes for a little bit after a 1hr machine dry. The only thing that bothered us a little for our stay was we did have a slight smell of sewage in our bathroom? We were there for 3 nights, it was very faint and only in the restroom. We spent very little time in the room except to sleep so we did not ask to change rooms. Besides that we enjoyed our stay.

Oh my Kyoto”
This hotel is really really cool. It was exceptionally clean and complete amenities. It has the real Japanese vibe. We love everything from the design and comfort it gave us. It has everything we need and very accessible to everything. I wish we could have stayed longer but we are definitely going back. We will be staying at this place and highly recommend it to others.

Mindblowing value”
The rooms are small, but they're well appointed and are delightfully well thought out. I managed to book this for about $50 a night which is just mind blowing value for what you get.
