A total dump. Pictures had to be taken 30 years ago”
No beach, no entertainment, very limited and overpriced food, no windows in the bathroom
Very nice and cozy place to stay..staff were very accommodating
when we arrived at the resort the staffs aren't aware that we have reservation that day.”
2 weeks before our vacation i confirmed w/ the resort about my booking through agoda.they replied that our reservation is confirmed. then 1 day before and on the day of our check in i keep on texting them on how can we get there,if they are going to fetch us at the port.they gave no reply.i tried to call but it cant be reached. as we arrived at the resort about 3pm the staffs were shocked when i told them about my reservation.bcos there is only 1 room available.they gave it to other walk-in customers. we're tired from our road trip and their going to tell us that we dont have a room!my dad told them that he's going to be wild and to our suprise one of the staff told us "ok lang mag wild kayo". what a good way to trigger your customers anger. good thing, they still manage to gave us room, the one that is beside the pool.but it is not what have i expected.during breakfast we have 6 free breakfast w/c is included in package and they gave additional 3meals. vanishing island tour is my fave
Not worth it”
Getting to the hotel was kind of annoying since there were not actual roads to the hotel from the main road. The location sucked because it was difficult to find any transportation to the city or anywhere else you may have wanted to go to. The restaurant in the hotel was not so great. We tried many different dishes before just deciding to get chicken from outside the hotel. The room was far less than expected and did not look like the pictures. The bed was like a rock and the toilet did not work properly. The sink had no hot water and by the time our trip came to a close, we decided to leave a day early and check into a different hotel.
Better for French than Filipinos”
My Filipina partner, together with mother, daughter, son, sister and niece, found that the foreign guests were consistently treated better than they were, and there was a very clear sense that this was because Filipinos are not as welcome. From little details such as receiving chipped plates whereas westerners didn't, to being neglected at breakfast time, this left a cloud hanging over what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime family holiday experience. I guess the name of this resort is quite fitting. Find somewhere else to spend your holiday if you are Filipino.
The rooms are gorgeous and worth the price. The staff always went beyond when it came to service and always tried to accommodate requests. Food is limited but every dish we tried was great. If you go there, look for genius, their friendly dog. :)
Quite good :)”
Free Vanishing Island trip :)
Quite Good :)”
Rooms are okay. We had fun staying late outside, and have a few drinks which by the way they charged us a corkage fee, hehe, Good breakfast too. Thanks for the free trip to Vanishing Island!
A little bit lacking on customer relations”
the pool has dirty water, it seems not change for a long time, you cant order food properly, room service is awful n disappointing particularly the cleaning of room, the room has lots of ants inside, including mosquitoes, no wifi inside the room or in the resort, towels n bedsheets are very very old n smell awful, i even buy air freshener for the room. the most awful hotel or resort that i have visited in Philippines n Southeast Asia...
Island French Resort Mother's day experience”
No kayaking or snorkling, although these were mentioned on their official website. We were under the impression that getting an extra bed was obligatory as told by the owner over the phone, it was not necessary when we got there. We had a power interruption for over 2 hours. And there was short circuit incident by the pool in the afternoon so we were not able to have a night swimming because it wasn't fixed right away, until we checked the following day. We missed the night time pool side view. Most importantly, they should replace the pool water religiously. It wasn't crystal clear, although we did smell chlorine in it.
Toilet is not working properly, no water in the lavatory, has requested to move to other room and they granted it. Maintenance should keep the surroundings always clean. Staffs are ready to assist but need more training. The owner should check personally what is going on in the resort to make the resort more comfortable to stay in. The resort can be improve if the owner wants to.
The resort is so tiny yet they pack it with too many guests. You will not a get good night's sleep and the resort staff do not care. There are other resorts more worth your money.
Homey and exclusive”
The place seems exclusive and private because we were the only guests in the resort. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had welcome drinks, and we were able to experience a long and wide stretch of beach front due to low tide, so we experienced exploring the marine life (sea urchin, crabs, mollusks, live corals, star fish and seaweeds) without snorkeling. Going to the Vanishing Island is also part of the package and that is one great experience. Unfortunately, the kayak has a hole on it, thus we weren't able to use. If you don't want crowds and noisy resorts, then this is the place for you!
Two thumbs up for Customer Service”
It was a pleasant stay. We were the only visitors except for another couple so it was peaceful and quiet. I love the look and feel of the resort especially at night time. Rooms are clean and well-kept. Food was okay but you have to tell the staff the exact time you want your dinner or breakfast to be served as preparation of the food can take an hour. Staff were friendly and accommodating to all our requests and helped us plan our itinerary for land tour and island hopping. Beach area is small but the free tour to Vanishing Island made up for it.
nice place, comfortalbe, with a silence beach, very close to vainshing island and go to there for free
Nice but overpriced ”
It was very fun.
not valued for money”
not valued for money. no wifi access in the room. dirty swiming pool.not convenience to get foods.
NICE HOTEL BUT VERY QUIET”
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and that was enough. There are only six rooms and we were the only ones at the resort. I asked for 2 extra towels and an extra pillow and they CHARGE for that. First time I ever get charged for basic ammenities in a hotel. The beach is very small and not that great. as we were the only ones you can imagine how quiet it was! The rooms are basic with no fridge, no safety box, they charge for extra towels or pillows. They advertise cable/sattelite TV but THERE IS NONE!! So you cannot watch television to relax at night when you come in after the hotel shuts down at 22:00 hrs. Also there are rats that run in the ceilings at night, so if you are a light sleeper, you might have a hard time to sleep. All in all, not a really good experience and would NOT stay there again.
