As a homestay it is all you can wish for”

We got to know the lovely family and were able to find out more about the indonesian way of life. They offered us a pickup from the harbour and even though we were two hours delayed, the only thing we heard was: "you're on holiday, take it easy" :). So don't take a taxi, contact the family about pickup. The only thing, don't expect a european standard bathroom.

The family was very welcoming and warm hearted. As we came there the son came on his bike to show us the right way and we got offered tee and coffee as we arrived. Everybody was very helpful and the mom is a great cook! Best breakfast we had! Also the beach ( 3 min walking) is very nice! We loved it and extended our stay. Also they have a library with very good books (Harry Potter :) ). Island is beautiful and we highly recommend staying here.

The rooms were very clean and the family are super friendly and welcoming! We felt very relaxed here, and Effy really does make you feel welcome in her home. This was the cheapest place we could find online for Senggigi. However it is actually in Mangsit. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Homestay to the town centre. We booked last minute so we didn't know until we got to the town centre and had to go back the way we'd just come from. It's also quite pricey for what you get when you have to get a taxi to Senggigi. We normally enjoy being away from it all, but we had things we needed to sort out in the town, so it ended up being an inconvenience.
