cukup menyenangkan”
cukup menyenangkan, hanya sayangnya wi,fi tidak sampai kamar, jadi harus ke lobby kalau mau internetan
Basic but fine for a couple of nights.”
Only stayed for two nights as I needed to be in the area but it was fine. Empty while I was there which given it was the high season says more about the type of accommodation (luxury) people are looking for than the place itself. Simple but clean rooms with fan, adequate breakfast, lovely host. I was in a riverside room and it was super peaceful. More lighting at night would be good.
Seen Better Days”
The pool was green with algae. The room was musty, and the bathroom old and smelly. The staff was lovely, and the grounds are beautiful.
Nice and quiet ”
This place is quite old but with lovely atmosphere... good for some piece and quiet. Also nice spa and restaurants just across the road. One minite walk from Neko art museum. 1 km from lovely batik art classes by Ketut Sujana (0361979097).
Peace and tranquilly”
Enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff. Old style hotel
wayan is amazing!! Perfect place to stay in Ubud. ”
Great stay”
It was a great stay, the staff were so polite and helpful. The breakfast was served in front of the room, and was great.
The best place for relaxation and clear your mind”
Great hotel if you want to relax, cause no tv, just nature around you..
older hotel great pool + gardens”
great location. 5 minutes from central Ubud on main rd. very peaceful. lovely gardens. knowledgeable staff, very friendly. rooms clean. great view from our balcony over the gorge.
Unforgettable stay in Ubud”
the hostel was incredible. totally different due to the decoration remains cultural values. breakfeast was great and awesome pool. the best point by far was mr. wayan. he manages the hostel prefectly and offers very good services. he is a very nice person!!!
Traditional Balinese villa”
Hotel is rather old but well-maintained, has lovely gardens. Best feature is view of Tjampuhan gorge from the terrace. Nice place for those who want a peaceful place away from the bustle of central Ubud that exudes genuine Balinese vibe
Quiet hotel with lots of privacy.”
The free standing rooms at the villa sangginan are basic but they are very quiet and private, despite the hotel being situated in busy jl sangginan. It has views over the ravine and champuan ridge-and if you are fortunate not to,have a cloudy day, spectacular views of Mt.Agung.The service was great too.The down sides were, the all too familiar concrete slab mattress, the too flat lumpyi pillow and the too high foamy one.If you don't like to wake at day break this is probably not the hotel for you as it faces due East and the sun comes blasting through the thin, light coloured curtains at sunrise. The same applies to bare light bulbs left on in any cottage room near you. The breakfast is modest but all delivered with great cheer by the mysteriously all male staff.I probably would have stayed on,as i was given a suitable pillow and the location suited me but I like to be able to sleep in a reasonably dark room. If you intend to spend most of your time in downtown Ubud you will have to take taxis or rent a motorbike as it is too far and to walk. The best feature of the hotel is the unusual peace and privacy.
Nice hotel with really attentive staff”
i enjoyed my stay at sanggingan villa. the room was basic but huge and having a fridge was definitely a bonus, especially when i'd go to the local market to buy fruit and keep it with me for a snack or get a meal take-away if i wasn't able to finish it. the staff there are so friendly and eager to help and the free breakfast is really good! a plate of fresh local fruit, 2 eggs done whatever style you like, toast and local tea or coffee. i suppose the only pitfall is that it`s about 20 minutes to walk into the center of town, however the walk itself is pleasant and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. this is definitely an older property, some wear and tear is beginning to show but it`s still kept very clean and the view was great. i`d recommend this to a solo traveler or younger couple.
Nice rooms and beautiful garden setting. ”
had a great stay at this hotel. is a little bit away from the downtown which i liked. walking distance or the staff would drop you in town for free if they were available! large room with a big deck. would stay there again when i return to ubud.
quiet and peaceful hotel ”
the place is away from centre which make it quiet. no tv and wifi which make the place more quiet. the staff will deliver your breakfast to your door step, so you enjoy your meal at your balcony.
Wayan is the best! great hotel!”
We stayed in the budget rooms balinese style with fan, the room is simple but clean, you will love to have breakfast served outside your balinese room with awesome views to the pool and beatiful garden.
Big disappointment”
the room was far below anything one could describe as "deluxe". curtains so thin there was no privacy at night in the room with any lights on. towels so thin they barely absorbed water. sheets so old you could almost see thru them. no wifi, no tv, and our room was surrounded on one side and the back by a loud local neighborhood that started about their business at 6am. other rooms on the property probably had it better as far as outside noise goes. the property in its early days was probably beautiful, but the owner, who has several hotels in the area apparently, has not invested in the place in years and good management is lacking. for example he entry way to the hotel is cluttered with broken tvs and old cabinets. staff hang out and sleep on the lobby bench.
simple hotel good for a budget traveler”
Stay three night in this hotel. really nice and quiet. situated in quiet part of Ubud, which is really good for resting. If you like to go to Ubud centre just walk about 20-30 minutes. It's a nice walk even in sunny day. One of the hotel staff name Pak Wayan, really nice man, and very helpful, he help me sight seeing around Ubud by renting his car, and give me suggestion on seeing traditional dance performance. A bit hard to get around Ubud no public transportation, unless you rent car, motor cycle. but you can count on Wayan, even for the airport transfer. He came up with a very reasonable price. The Breakfast is delivered in front of your door, and you can enjoy it in your teras, with the pool view. Not much choices for the break fast, but it's setisfiying enough considering the hotel fee. around the hotel plenty of choices of food. walk about 5 minutes to the left from hotel, you'll find a nice Javanese restaurant with very tasty food (Pulau Kelapa). It has a good javanese home decoration and big garden, you can eat in the gazeebo also.
Good value old Bali style bungalow accommodation”
it's basic with lovely staff , simple breakfasts and good location
Excellent hotel with super friendly staff”
We really enjoyed our stay here - it's a bit out of central Ubud so you would need a motorbike or be prepared to take taxis. But the quiet surrounds and great views from some rooms make it worthwhile. Staff are very accommodating and friendly.
