Excellent location, but too busy. ”
It is a hostel after all, but one of the busiest I have been. It offers basic facilities, rooms are messy with luggage blocking lockers, and people coming into the room after 1 am....not much sleep. Staff were polite. It is what you paid for,a cheap accommodation.
Budget hostel in London!”
I stayed domitory room for 6nights. This hostel has has kitchen so can cook by your own. Also there has high speed WiFi, hot&good presure shower, large lobby! Stay here if you want to save money in London!
돈값 해요 ㅎㅎ, Enough to stay”
Not bad not good. But it was valuable to pay it Just reasonable price. If you use no.18 room you can imagine, it is a hencoop lol Looks like Anyway Staff is so kind I really really satisfied about staff, location, price That's it. enough is enough
Great location and clean ”
The Hostel is just a few minutes from Russel Square Tube Station, check in is very fast and efficient as well as check out process. Breakfast is only cereal and bread with the juice and coffee and tea. The advantage is all bunk bed has close blind curtain make more privacy when sleeping.
I hope to add more rooms for female,There are often no available female's rooms
excellent privacy with the fabric curtains; nice location and staff; large open area available; enough private toilets; breakfast is ok; the only demerit is unable to adjust the temperature of shower water
Great budget optin”
All in all, a great budget place to stay in Central London. The bunk beds feel quite private as they have a curtain which helps.. Never feels congested which is nice. Staff are very helpful. I been back here around 4 times in the last month.
Very bad hostel. Like animals in one room
The worst experience of my life in hostel ”
Everythings here are so bad. The ovens in the kitchen are broken so we cannot cook even we bought something to cook. The staffs are not polite and treated you seems like you did something wrong. The worst problem is our room is really tiny , when 9people have their own luggages on the floor, there’s no space for walk. I can’t imagine how crowded is it. Even some of our roommates sleep together and use one of their beds to put something (hell...). When we check out, we just know if we want to keep our luggages for maybe few hours , we have to pay 3pounds per piece. I don’t know if it’s my problem, but I haven’t met a hostel treat their guests like this. Everything is crazy here and I told my friends that if I have choice again, I definitely will pay more to live in a better hostel (even here is not that cheap, around 19pounds per bed).
Very good value for money ”
The best hostel for this kind of price
Quite close to British Library ,very convenient!
Worth for money”
The room is quite clean. Location is excellent. I have found an issue about a toilet door which is hard to close and open, it created noise when closing and opening.
Great location and friendly staff, felt like a chicken coop”
This hostel is great if you have a tight budget, and your shorter than 6ft. The team are warm and friendly, very knowledgeable about the local area, and happy to help where they can. The rooms are very compact, bunk beds are stacked 3 beds high. Beds are not allocated meaning if you check in later in the afternoon or evening, you are most likely going to be stuck with the top bunk. (You'll have to make in the dark, after 11pm) Bunks have their own power point for you to charge your phone or device. (These did not work on any of the top bunks I had to choose from on arrival) There's no light inside your bunk either. I'd like me your 6ft, you may find the bunks a bit of a tight squeeze. Air-conditioning in the room wasn't working well, and the fan provided wasn't great. I raised my feedback with a team member on reception that disregarded my feedback. There's a resident's kitchen available to cook your own food, and plenty of communal seating on the ground floor. This hostel is not suitable for any one with mobility or accessibility needs.
Good as expected for Hostel, but be aware of long-term stay room mate”
I stay in the room with long-term stay roommate. I believe his name Joseph. His bag and his cloth are all over the room. I smell something bad in the room also not sure if it's from his stuff or not. I saw some people take a shower and basically naked in the unisex bath room. Apart from that is pretty standard hostel.
Travelling alone this time and somewhere to stay rather than travel through the night. It was perfect and I loved having a curtain around the bed. Very busy though in reception. Staff were efficient but would have preferred a more friendly approach. I didn't use all facilities and it is a hostel but given its location and how busy it is I would have liked better quality toilet but it still was good. Would definitely recommend this place!
Good value for budget traveller”
Good for solo traveller with budget. However if you carry a large and heavy luggage, and your room is at the high level, then it can be quite painful for you since there is no elevator in this hotel. In overall, good money for value.
Cheap hostel bit questionable cleanliness ”
Good cheap place for budget traveller to stay the night on crammed triple decker beds. The cheap price quickly gone up as you will need to pay for locker in the room. The air ventilation in the room was poor making room smelly and stuffy. The kitchen which is also the common area was filthy too. Short walking distance from Russell Square station. All within short walking distance from the British museum. The showers in the basement reminiscent to a British gym room showers, albeit with shower curtains. If seeing other people walking around showing their private parts after shower is your thing, then this is the hostel for you.
Very friendly staff, and excellent location. ”
Now, there is a lot of steps going up to first second, third... floors. But, all those steps makes up for the location. This Hostel is located between two major train stations in London, and it is situated in a very safe neighborhood. I would highly recommend this Hostel.
Excellent breakfast and position!”
The position is great 3 tube stops to Leicester Square, a Tesco, a Sainsburys, the Brunswick commercial centre and the underground at 5 minutes on foot. The included breakfast is a very good buffet consisting of coffee (nescafé), tea, milk, cereals, tropical/orange juice, bread, toasting machine, butter, marmelade and nutella. The rooms had they personal toilet and shower and they were very small with triple bunk beds. Each bed had it's own curtain and power socket (but without any light or small shelf) and there were also four other power sockets just left of the main door. At check in you are provided with a smart card which allows you to enter the hostel common areas, your rooms and the lockers under the bunk beds (unluckily you can't use your own lock, but you have to rent the electronic locker at 1.5£ per day). The kitchen was very good with 2 microwave ovens, 2 fridges and a powerful 4 elements electric stove with plenty of pans and pots to cook what you want. Summing up the only drawback was the room size which had almost no place to dress (toilet in this case comes handy).
