Great pool ”

The oil is definitely the best feature. The manager very helpful. It was a good stay if you don’t mind the monkeys on your balcony. No fridge or kettle in the room and no shampoo. Bed and pillows a bit hard but still a not bad stay. Close to monkey forest. Basically steps away. Shopping and restaurants right outside the gate.

Gorgeous place & wonderful staff!”

Such great energy at this sweet place. Loved the pool, and the staff was so warm and friendly. It sits right next to the monkey forest, so you can hear a waterfall and stream right behind, and there are often monkeys swinging through the trees and wandering around the property - so cool! (Though be sure to be mindful of your stuff, so they don't sneak away with it.) Only downside on this place (for me) is that I would have liked the wifi to be better, but it's because I work and travel. The shower was a little low for me, too, as I'm tall. Beyond those things though, this place is amazing. I loved the pool, breakfast and the lush lounge area by the pool! Great location too - close to everything. Thank you for a great week staying at your lovely property!

A nice stay”

My fiancé and I wanted to see Ubud, while in Bali.. Wenara Bali bungalow is a nice, and clean choice, for people who enjoy cosy rooms and who would like to stay in central ubud. The hotel is just next to monkey forest - and that means, monkeys on the roofs and the possibility of monkeys climbing your balcony! So, when they write "don't leave your stuff outside", they ain't kidding 😉. We stayed two nights - and that was more than enough for us. We felt we saw, what we wanted in that time. Staff is nice and polite,. We only had breakfast at the hotel - I can recommend the banana-pancakes. Their pool was nice - and when the sun shined, their garden was a nice place to sunbath. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain while we stayed in ubud. Beds were comfy, a hot-water shower was OK.. and - prices for the hotels taxi-service seemed reasonable and fair.

Good Value for Money and nice location”

Friendly and helpful staff for sure. We had a rainy stay and they lend withouth their umbrella for the day. They arranged our transportation back to Kuta. Very Well location in Jalan Monkey Forest in a quite area : close to restaurants, bars, but without too much noise. Small regrets : we booked the bedroom with Fan, bath was a bit old and could be a bit renovated to reach the quality of the hotel and since the hotel is close to the monkey forest and monkey comes to the hotel, we could not keep the door or windows open tp avoid them stealing our goods so it smell a bit of humidity. I guess no issue of this kind would be faced for Air cond rooms. We would return to Wenara homestay but will definitely upgrade to the Air cond room.

Pros:staff,breakfast. Cons:no kettle,no toiletries,no water bottle,Very basic room,Very noisy location due to motorcycles trying to go up jalan bisma,also poor wall insulation between rooms,won't came back at all.

Wonderful”

The staff is awesome, Ketut and his team always attentive and helpful, really nice people. The room was lovely and clean, some little problem of maitenance but the conditions are good generally. The pool is really nice and clean. The monkeys are always present, it's so funny, but be careful, they steal your food!

Good enough”

Place was ok. Pool wasn't the nicest and I didn't use it. Some monkeys were crawling around on my patio since the hotel is so close to the monkey forest. They were harmless and funny.

Central location, great staff”

Right next to the Monkey Forest and surrounded by many restaurants and bars, yet with quiet gardens and nice, small swimming pool.

A Gem in the Jungle.”

My stay at Wenara was the best experience Ive had for a long time. For the value of the hotel was very nice. The Staff were very hearth warming & very accommodating. The location was very nice close to all the shops and restaurants. I will come back again. Thanks Katuk, Putu and all the Staffs!!

Next to Monkey Forest”

The good; balcony, cleanliness, location to monkey forest. The pool was nice and from the picture of the pool we thought jet tub attached to pool but it is just shallow sitting area or for small children. The negatives were you could hear the voices of neighbours talking and doing anything through the wall or ceiling somewhere, so not as private if you want privacy. Balcony door had only single tiny bolt lock. Not enough to stop someone if they wanted in, although your neighbours would hear the noise. Just so you know there is no tv and the lock closet does not work. They stated tv was only for luxury hotel. Oh and the sink water line had leak needing to be shut off under sink gor maintenance advice; forgot to mention this to them so hopefully they read guest reviews here. Last negative was when renting scooter they seem to not want to believe you when you tell them you own and drive daily scooter AND when asking about clarity on scooter rental the response was not to explain the policy clearly but to say rather that if you dont like rent elsewhere. From a tourist renter perspective we think it is important to understand the rental contract before renting. Other then that the service was good. My opinion is that for the price cable tv is not such a big expectation and also wifi only works well in the lobby area.

Relaxing, friendly staff, easy access to activity”

We had a very relaxing stay at Wenara Bali Bungalow. Great pool, lovely gardens and views. Staff were very nice, attentive and friendly. Good location next to Monkey forest so we had monkeys in the garden in the mornings, and this also meant we weren't in the centre of the busy parts of Ubud which we liked.

Great place to stay”

I stayed in Wenara Ubud for 5 days together with my small family (4 years old kid). We enjoyed our time so much in Wenara due their super friendly staffs, very clean environment, and of course with affordable price. Room is spacious and again, very clean and quiet environment equipped with simple and tasty breakfast, nice and well maintained swimming pool (my daughter enjoyed it so much). Walking distance to Ubud market (around 15 mins walk), and other attractions such as Monkey Forest (around 2 minutes walk). Lots of cafe and bar nearby this hotel with great Padi field view. We rented a car together with driver (Pak Wayan Merta, mobile: +6285 23772 4998) and gasoline included for our transport to other locations outside Ubud. This bungalow has WiFi in the receptionist area (not inside the room) and it has no TV inside the room which is definitely fine with us.

Nice little place located next to monkey forrest. also close walk to restaurants. The newer rooms are nice . Bedsheets though could be replaced as they looked quite old and worn out. Very nice pool and nice Staff. Can rent a scooter there too.

Schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage”

Wir haben zwei Nächte hier verbracht. Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel und die Zimmer sind relativ groß und schö eingerichtet. Lediglich das Badezimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig und die Ausstattung schlecht. Zum Beispiel hatte unsere Badewannendusche nicht einmal einen Duschvorhang. Die Lage ist perfekt. Zu Fuß kann man alles gut erreichen, so zum Beispiel den Markt zum Shoppen oder auch zahlreiche Restaurant. Ich würde keine Tour über das Hotel buchen, da es deutlich teurer ist als über das Touristeninformationscenter. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Fordele: fantastisk placering lige ved siden af Monkey Forest, så der kommer aber på besøg hver dag. Man bor i enden af Hovedgaden, så man er omringet af lækre restauranter og fine butikker. Det er renligt, staff er søde, poolen er fin. Morgenmaden er lækker og man kan vælge mellem mange ting. Ulemper: vi bookede en tur gennem hotellet, og først da vi sidder og venter på at blive hentet, informerer han os om, at det vi betalte ikke inkluderede indgang til nogen af de steder vi skulle besøge, så vi endte med at betale det dobbelte af hvad vi havde regnet med. En dag gik vi tilbage til vores værelse for at hente nogle ting, og da vi kom ind sad rengøringsstaffet på vores seng med min venindes solbriller i hænderne. Staffet er virkelig søde og servicemindede normalt, men det er altså ikke i orden at rode i gæsternes ting.

Goed, ik heb genoten van de apen in de tuin. Wel geleerd niet te dicht bij te komen, doordat 1 aap tegen mij aansprong waarvan ik erg schrok. Lekker geslapen. 3 nachten was voor mij genoeg omdat je al je spullen in een afgesloten kast moet bewaren uit veiligheid voor de apen.
