Hosts were so great”
We loved this homestay for the atmosphere . our hosts were so nice from the moment we arrived. The daughter met us on the street to guide us to where to go , which was appreciated as it was hard to find . when we got there the host greated us with tea and a rice dish. Then took us on a long sunset walk over the ricr feilds. It was beautiful. The village was great and it felt so nice to have everyone say hello to us, rather than try to extort us for money like the rest of indonesia. Just lots of kind smiles and waves. It was really heartwarming. The rooms had no hot water ,towels or toilet paper. Just be prepared to live the village life and immerse yourself in culture. The only suggestion i have is that maybe there be a fan in the room, it was incredibly hot and I felt like that limited the fun I could have because I was overheated. All in all i still give this place a 10/10 , for the kindness and culture . thanks for the great stay .

Real countryside experience ”
Perfect location for those who look for nature. Typical village from the countryside of Java. Don't expect hot water or comfortable bathroom. The family is really helpful to organize the transportation to Ijen. I highly recommend!

Basic accomodation but wonderful owner”
The homestay is still a work in progress so for now it's pretty basic so picky backpackers are warned. What made the place special was the location (in a small village among the rice fields and the jungle) but most of all the owner, Ron, and his family. He was super helping and caring, showed me around for free, cooked delicious food for me even if it was Ramadan, helped me improving my broken Bahasa etc etc.. really nice family atmosphere! Ron just started his business (before he was a miner in the mount ijeng) so be patient if everything is not perfect. For real backpackers who want to live an experience in contact with locals.
