Beautiful View, Kind Personal, Good climate ”
When you wanna drive to the resort by own car you will follow a very steep and bumpy road so make sure your car has enough ground clearance. Parking Spots are good , Hotel is very clean and the bathroom is one of the best we had on our trip. A bit problems with the Wi-Fi but the Employee always try to help and remove every problem. The View is awesome and you can enjoy the nature while relaxing all over the very quite and settled resort

breathtaking view”
Really like this place, the view is top notch like other review mentioned. Restaurant menu is not many, everything i ordered is great and the portion is a lot. And about the location, this resort is in remote place so, there is no minimarket and mobile signal is not great for some provider. At night you can hear the nature. I recommend this place if you want to take a breath from city's life.

Natural paradise”
This place is simply stunning, the gardens and views. Good roads to venue now (compared to some previous reviews) awesome room we are in, yes an older style but beautifully maintained. Fantastic breakfast, wonderfully fresh and served quickly. Honestly I wasn't too sure what to expect after reading previous refers... but I highly recommend as a couples hide away, romantic retreat or mountain and garden lovers. We extended our stay as superbly surprised.. will come back when I get the opportunity.

Resort With amazing View”
The view is amazing with mountain and rice field surounding the resort. The room is spacious. Dinner is too expensive and the taste standard. The location is remote and difficult to find. Love the scenery and cleanlines of this resort with beautiful garden.

Best place to stay with view”
The location is far from anywhere. It is at the end of a village in the middle of nowhere. But thats What makes it special. The view surrounded the property is absolutely stunning. You won’t get bored staying just round the property the whole day. It is a hidden paradise. The room is clean and neat. They need to add hanger to hang clothes, which they don’t. Overal about the property, is one of the best place to stay in Banyuwangi. Upon Arrival we had lunch in the restaurant. You know, in a place like this, you would expect “you get What you paid for” But here the story is different. My friend ordered burger which served with desperately pale fried, cheap burger bun and the taste and presentation doesn’t worth the Prices at all, burger from the street would taste better. I ordered Sapo Tahu soup which the Mushroom taste like it was kept in the Fridge for too long. I couldn’t continue after the 1st spoon. But They serve good breakfast.

Wonderful garden, hotel a bit dated”
The garden and the surrounding of the hotel is spectacular. The hotel itself is a little bit dated. If you are a light sleeper, this place is not for you, because around 3:30 am you will be awakened by the multitude of surrounding mosques which launch the prayer in turn.

Transit hotel before going to Ijen Crater”
This hotel is a good option as a transit for a day before you go to Ijen Crater. It offers spectacular view of terrace rice fields sequence with array of mountains as a backdrop. However, this hotel surrounded by forest which of course home for tropical bugs and creatures. You can expect those bugs singing of their kind's song all day all night and claimed their territory on your room's floor, bed, curtain and wal . It didn'r bother me though but it was Gecko intermittent 'kekekekke' sound that keep me up all night. I have reported it to the hotel's staff but they didn't manage to locate it. So my 3 nights of staying which was intended as relaxing staycation become an annoying experience. In term of hotel's facility, not much to offer than swimming pool. They have spa, but the treatment limited on massage and manicure only. Also, the bathroom has no door. Yup. No privacy should you stay with friend. Since I have check Ijen Crater from my bucket list then I don't think I will come back to this hotel anytime soon.

Ijen Resort”
It will be very hard for me to review this hotel without some bias because by boyfriend proposed to me there. But the fact that he chose Ijen Resort to propose it testatment to how stunning and romantic this hotel is. It is worth noting that the road up to the resort from the main road is atrocious though so if you are getting a taxi from the train station then make sure it is quite a good one to withstand the 4 wheel drive track that the road becomes for the last 4 km leading up to the resort.

Otherworldly setting. Dreamy accommodations.”
This is a beautiful resort in a rather out of e way location but this in the middle of a very real rice paddy world, which you can view all day long and then enter by foot right out the door of your room. Wonderful very attentive staff, speaking very good English, and helpful for all needs. Also the base of a trip to the absolutely mind boggling ( and quite strenuous! ) climb to Ijen Crater, an unforgettable experience. A really memorable resort experience. Excellent food as well in a beautiful dining pavilion.

Needs to improve on room conditions”
The resort was lovely, the decor was great and set upon a hill overlooking padi fields. That, unfortunately was about the best thing about it. When I first read reviews, I was quite dubious about this place. And all those reviews were right. The road leading up to the hotel was atrocious. We thought we had exiperienced quite a bit of terrains before but this was quite something. It was funny at first but after 1KM with more than 2 to go, it just gets sick. Upon arriving, it was a nice surprise and relief to see that it is an established resort with a great welcome. Check in was easy with a free welcome drink. We all stayed in deluxe rooms which were to the left of reception. The rooms were not as good. There are really insects everywhere. I think there might have been insect poo on my bed. They've covered the outdoor shower such that you won't get wet during rain. But the entire villa still has gaps where the critters still enter. We also ordered indo food at the restaurant which were so so. Overall, the resort environment is really great but I did not wish to stay any longer in the rooms other than shower and sleep. Btw, it takes about an hour up to ijen from here as well. Road is easy enough to find, there were tours arranged into hotel but we went by ourselves and followed 2 miners at the bottom of the crater, who were awesome and amazing men.

Amazing view ”
When the weather is clear you really want to stay there for days. Not too far from ijen mountain but the room ( last km) to get access to the hotel are really tought! Highly recommended for the location even if the price is a bit high and the room (big) are not 3*

Ijen resort has the best views on island”
It's hard to get up there, you need to have a jeep 4x4, it takes 20 mins on the bumpy dirt road, however, it's well worth it, I don't even remember seeing such a beautiful view of the rice paddies when I went to Bali. The bathroom was not nice even though we were in junior suite, there were ants everywhere and lots of other bugs. The normal room was better actually. The food was good, nothing to rave about...breakfast box was not appealing to me but whatever the case was, I am very glad I chose to stay there just for 1 night because any price was worth seeing those views, it's very high up. Take a kawah ijen tour with ijen expedition tour, but ask them to give you Andy as the tour guide, he was just amazing!!!!

Ijen Lake - amazing, Ijen Resort disappointing”
The resort is beautiful, located amongst rice fields with gorgeous gardens and a great infinity pool and the rooms are ok, although should be much better....however that is where it ends...Food was so bad we couldn't eat it, it wasn't fresh and was very chewy even though we ordered a local Javanese dish and a fish dish. Breakfast was better although not as good as any of the other hotels that we had stayed in on this trip. Now the staff were friendly and smiled a lot but were not well trained. I had driven from Bromo to Ijen and called to get directions when I thought we were close, the directions she gave and continued to give were not helpful at all, this was all in indonesian, then a guy came on the phone and asked us to e-mail him which wasnt very helpful...in the end we just started to ask locals and finally found the place...only as we could speak Indonesian, so be aware of this if you are driving as i think i would still be looking for the place now if i had relied on the staff at the hotel. Also I asked at reception about visiting Ijen sulphur lake, they told me i would need a 4x4 so i hired one and a driver for 75us$...there is absolutely no need for one except perhaps for the 3km hotel drive which i had already done in my car as the roads are perfect to the drop off point before the walk to the lake, i felt that i had been misled by the hotel. That aside the lake is amazing and an absolute MUST see.... we hired one of the sulpher miners who earn about 10us$ a day carrying 80kg of sulpher in each trip out of the crater. These guys are incredible and do the trip twice a day. They were so friendly, all joking but the job is tough, the smoke in the crater is horrible at times and really hard to breath and just walking without the 80kg was hard enough at times...anyway i really recommend this as its not too touristy as well.

Exceptional location and hotel service ”
My friend and I am both nature lovers, the hotel is situated on the top of the hill overseeing rice paddle fields and mountains. The room is great, view is spectacular and we appreciate the service of the staff. The staff at the reception was very helpful and thoughtful.

Amazing location!”
i think because ijen resort is the only place to stay in the area of ijen vulcano, the staff gets arrogant. they were not very friendly when we arrived, forgot our wake-up call and the food in the restaurant was really poor! i think it is a shame for such a wonderful place!
