Think twice before booking”
The greatest thing about this property is the view. It is simply amazing. And .. that is it. The rest: 1. reception is open only until 8:00 p.m (which is not mentioned anywhere in hotel description), so that you are aware during booking. 2. There are quite many steps (100+) depending on the location of your room and if you arrive after 4:00 be prepared to carry your luggage yourself downstairs. 3. Same as above of you leave after 9:00 a.m. There are ONLY 2 times set for luggage pick up - 8:30 and 9:00. And you have to sign up for that the night before. If you miss that it leave later ... too bad. You will have to very your suitcase uphill 100+stairs. 4. Reception lady - rude ,not informative, arguing with guests. If you want to book the property, make sure that you read carefully all the instructions, provided in in the room. There is missmatch between the provided into and the reality, but at least you will be prepared for your discussion with the reception lady. Rooms are very ba

Breathtaking view with effort to reach”
Beautiful place to stay with breathtaking views of the sea.. Not easy to reach with the bus as need to catch transport at specific times to go up and down the place.. but worth the effort for an oustanding viee

Only views and restaurant were good ”
The first room that we were assigned was awful! It had no view, was dark and smelled terrible. After talking with a rude receptionist we were able to switch to a slightly better room. Some rooms have been renovated so be sure to ask for one of those. The restaurant served great food and the wait staff was excellent. I would not recommend this hotel to CT visitors.

Wonderful view from room”
We booked the cheapest room and as a result got a tiny room but the view was wonderful. The lady at the front desk tried to find a bigger room but there weren't any available unfortunately. Thanks for the effort though. It was the lowest room in the place I think, thus many steps down. Not for people travelling with lots of luggage. It will be hard to get there (we barely managed to lug our luggage there on the shuttle bus) and down the steps into the room. It would been perfect for backpacking individuals or couples.

Nice But Far”
The restaurant, the view and the value
This was my first trip to Riomaggiore/Cinque Terre and I stayed two days/two nights as a side trip from Rome via train. I didn't do a lot of research, but if I had, I don't think I would've stayed at Il Borgo, only because it was so far from town! Cons: - Far from the Riomaggiore town center This was my biggest contention. It was convenient that there was a mini bus/shuttle that took me right to the hotel/apt (the Cinque Terre pass applies to this bus), but I was dependent on the bus schedule. The last run of the day from town back to Il Borgo was at 20:00 (or 8 PM), so that really limited my time in town. Also a "con", the bus was really small (seats about 15 people) and not equip to handle large luggage. -100+ steps from lobby to room While there's a luggage elevator, you must notify the staff in advance and it's only available at specific times. Carrying my luggage (about 40 lbs) up and down those stairs was no fun, even being in my 20s, with no physical aliments. Pros: - The restaurant: The pesto ravioli was excellent. I had the pesto at Dau Cila and I liked Il Borgo's better! - View: Beautiful view of the water. - Landscape: The grounds around the apt were really lovely, with abundant lavender and sage growing. - Quiet: I went in September and there were still a lot of tourists when I went from town to town. However, it's much quieter at Il Borgo; you feel away from it all. - Value: Very moderately priced for a clean and somewhat comfortable room and bathroom for a short stay. Overall, Il Borgo is a decent place to stay. It just depends on what you expect or want on your trip.

Senteurs”
La beauté du jardin, des coins et recoins, les couleurs, les jolies pancartes, les senteurs, les soupers sur la terrasse et la vue sur la mer, que du bonheur.
