    Quite one of the best total immersive hotel&#47; restaurant experiences we have enjoyed in our travels”

    The hotel setting and grounds; the building and terrace where dinner and breakfast were served under the wisteria is exquisite as are the gardens all tended by the mother of the current owner manager ( family run hotel&#47;restaurant for150 years ! And it shows in all the kindness of the staff who each played their part perfectly in the intricate running of both restaurant and hotel. The pool needs also be mentioned as a place of gentle tranquility overlooking the lake through palm trees and olive trees and beautiful borders of magnolias and jasmine arched paths to the hotel.NB the food was excellent from the assortment of pastries all home made to the evening meals with gratuitous generosity of service and an elegance of menus that is hard to find
    We could not find fault in anything ! We arrived by the local ferry (which stopped service to Ranco the following day due to the low water level of lake Maggiore ) but on our departure took a 12 min taxi to the next town to take a local train to Milano from there, all arranged by the kind receptionist !

    Perfect - from the room itself, very tastefully decorated with a view over the gardens to the lake itself, to the warm welcome from the team in the hotel and restaurant, to the memorable and creative dining experience in an atmosphere that manages to perfectly balance a sophisticated dining experience with a relaxing atmosphere.     A Pearl on Lake Maggiore to relax and enjoy.”

    The owner of the hotel met us at our car and took the suitcase himself. Also did the same when we left. A gentleman with who I spoke a lot. We discussed the history of the hotel going back to his great grandfather and how he built a lot that still is in operation today. There is an expresso machine over 100 years old where is one of three in the world. The hotel is charming as our room was large and windows on three sides. Quiet and peaceful. The restaurant was lovely, a lot of choices and everything was made in the kitchen. Broad choice of house wines. The breakfast was really good, with lots of choices and everything fresh. They have big gardens and a pool. A very relaxing place. There is a town 4 mins by car (Angera) to walk around and a castle to visit. Highly recommend it.

    The view was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Everything was really clean and the towels were replaced every day. Breakfast tasted good as well. Enough space to park your car for free.
    The room had no window in the sleeping area so the air was really dry because there was only airconditioning. Breakfast was the same everyday, although it tasted good. We missed some leaflets on the room about the area and hotel itself like telephone number reception for example or nice restaurants closeby.

    Excellent breakfast site and service qualité, poor restaurant”

    Thé service : for exemple one morning, we told a membre of thé staff that thé water évacuation of our shower had troubles. Thé same evening everything was fixed. It was on sunday ! Thé vue on thé garden from our table while we take breakfast is beautiful. By thé way, thé quantity, variéty and quality of what is served for breakfast is high.
    Thé restaurant : in the menu at 50€ per person we got a fish dish that even a snack bar will not dare to serve : dry with no taste.

    Everything,the service was wonderful(super family bussiness)the Resurant was one of the best I&#39;ve eaten in in a long time,excelent wein, food perfect,gave us a side room where we could bring our dogs ,for dinner and for breakfast, the bed was good with a view to the lake nd the wonderful hotel garden,the surounding area is small with a small promanade and boots habour,and bar,still a green area where the dogs could go to the toilet.all in all first class.On the down side,you need good nerves and plenty of tme ,the road is dreadful coming from the north,maybe its better coming from Milan?Stil it was worth it,will come again,just for the food, good stop over coming from GermanyAs to the parking situation, good ,unload your bags first at the hotel,park behind the garden,on the water front.
