Great Little Hotel”
If you're studying at GIBS and have to stay over I can highly recommend the Illovo Hotel. It's on campus so the location is brilliant. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are small but very well appointed. What I really loved is that the rooms have considered their female guests in the design of the room. I could do my makeup and my hair in the same place with decent lighting and space for all my stuff. Most 5 star hotels don't do this! It's functional, clean and good value

I was both a couple and business traveler. the services at the Illovo hotel were beyond my expectations. The money that I paid I did not expect the facilities that I received. I will definetely recommend the hotel to my friends, and family even to my co-workers as well. the location was excellent for me as I needed to use Gautrain for daily commute while I was there. I would also use the Hotel the Next time I am in need of a place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay”
The value for money is excellent and the central location is perfect. The staff were very friendly from our arrival to our departure. The rooms are a bit dated, but it is not a major problem as everything was in working order and the room was clean. My only con would be that there seems to be a lack of communication between housekeeping and the front desk. Housekeeping knocked on the door on check out day a couple of hours before we had to check out. We were all still asleep and housekeeping should have been aware that we were not checked out yet. An additional coffee cup in a double room will also be welcomed.

when we checked in, Ismail was at front Desk, he was very friendly and we immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. we had booked 2 rooms. the one room was clean and neat, the second room was also clean and neat, but the aircon wasn't working, so when we called Ismail, he immediately assisted us, by moving us to another available room! service was great and the staff very accomodating

I enjoyed my stay. I loved the environment of attachment to the Gordon Institute of Business Science (Gibs) campus and the associated benefits, eg cafeteria with microwave, free computer facility. The staff are courteous and helpful. There was a problem of ants in my room so it was not possible to keep food but the staff allowed me use of their fridge. However, I believe that it is misleading for the website to include airport transfer under General Amenities as this is not included. Bearing that in mind for budgeting purposes, I do recommend this hotel.

If you're not spending much time in the room, but want to come back to a very smart, comfy place, then this is perfect. It's located inside the Gordan Institute for Business, so the breakfast setting has a lovely view of the campus and has a wide delicious selection!

It's was our 2nd time staying there. The place is peaceful and has nice grounds and the location is perfect but honestly we don't like the breakfast facilities. There is no menu where you can view your options from, the staff is are bit disorganised and our eggs were greasy.

I clearly booked the room with breakfast as I knew it will be convenient for me. When I checked in I asked the receptionist and she told me breakfast was included, on checking out they made me pay extra for the breakfast . The receptionist was not interested in finding out who was on duty 2nights before she just insisted and made me pay .

Bad service and bad rooms ”
I didn’t like my stay , had ants crawling around the room. The reception was not helpful with my cancellation process. Just bad service at the hotel
