Great Stay wim Imperial Cruise.”
ImperiL CRUISE ,wOW, wOW... gREAT EXperience in halong bay with imperial cruise and bungalow. After searching a lot of boats in halong bay , I finally chose the imperial cruise because this one offered one night on boat and one night in bungalow on an isolated island .The first day we stayed on the boat and we were very pleased with the services on the boat .The staff including the captain were so friendly and caring. They always kept smiling and made us feel at home .The food is delicious ,the room is clean with aircondition and shower . Activities are interesting and well organised like visiting cave ,cruising, kayaking, swimming, squid fishing. The second day we took a transfer boat to Lan ha Bay , it is even more beautiful than Ha long Bay with the condensity of islands and islets. The transfer boat sailed zig zac through hundreds of islands before we reached the bungalow. Wow wow , we were so excited when we saw a beautiful island with white sandy beach .That is absolutely one of the best locations i have ever seen. We had stunning view from our room .This is an isolated island ,4 hours by boat from ha long city so it is very peaceful and quite. That is exactly i was looking for , staying with nature ,one night getting out of modern and bustling cities . There is no wifi here because of no coverage but it doesnt matter .On this remote island ,we couldnt ask for that ,internet connection is imposible. There are many choices of activities available such as kayaking, swimming, football, playing pool,..or relaxing on the beach. That was unforgetable moment on the bungalow. We wish we could have had few more days there to relax. We definitely recommend to all who are looking for a peaceful place to stay with the nature .Bungalow is the best choice

Amazing Halong Bay.”
Where can I start? The beginning yes. Booked through online imperial junk halong for 2 day 1 night trip, It was one day ahead booking so couldn’t haggle much for a lower price, but you could get the same deal at 100 usd/person if you book ahead. When Luky came to pick us exactly at appointed hour of 8 am he told us that we got an upgrade for free to imperial legend , yay Lucky was lucky for I suppose. AC bus went from hotel to hotel picking people and reached ha long bay at 12:30 amidst the confusion of the staff to sort the people. In another half hour we were on the junk and at the lunch table. Delicious food started coming to the table that wouldn’t stop. Fries and salads and fish and meat and vegetables and rice and fresh fruit, you cant go wrong with food. However drinks including water were extra, don’t forget to pack a bottle or two of water if you are on a crunch. The price of drinks was double than the mainland. The weather was cloudy, no sun at all, but still enjoyable, I loved how the scenery appeared misty and magical, Lord of the Rings type. We went to see the caves, did kayaking, swimming, happy hour, squid fishing (we caught about more than a kilo of squid which was served at the breakfast next day). Met great travellers, staff was charming and helpful. Next day breakfast and pearl factory trip and lunch and back to the bus for transfer, back in Hanoi at 4:30 as promised. There was nothing to complain about, best part was food and the wonderful people we met on the junk, we shared contacts and met them again at our next common destinations. I would recommend paying little extra and taking the imperial cruise (however if you are looking to party on the boat look elsewhere as this is not the one, although we had our share of alcohol and music ;) Recommened for every onn with this company

A special Christmas Cruise”
My partner and I stayed on the Imperial Junk Halong for 2D/1N over the Christmas holiday. PROS Staff: The staff (both on and off board) were excellent. The people on the boat were incredibly nice and lots of fun. Service was great, and you could tell they sincerely cared that everyone was having a great time. They even organized some special festivities for the Christmas holiday Scenery: We cruised out and anchored over night in a part of the bay with only a few other boats. The sights along the entire cruise were simply Beautiful. Activities: Over the tour, they took us to a cave, a pearl farm, and to do some kayaking. All of the activities were very fun, with only the case feeling particularly touristy. Fellow Travelers: There were around 24 travellers on our ship. As social people, it was small enough that we met and hand great conversation with a lot of interesting people. It wasn’t so small that you couldn’t disappear and have a more private cruise experience if you wished. Food: Food was delicious and abundant! (Too abundant actually, we were never able to finish it). They made accommodations for vegetarian meals that were less tasty but still nice. CONS: Technical Issues: By far, biggest con with our trip was a technical issue with the generator on our boat. For reasons still not clear, when they turned off the engine at night and turned on the generator, poor ventilation (or something) was causing noxious fumes to permeate through the whole 1st floor of the boat (where 80% of the travelers had to sleep) Many people had headaches, and a bunch of us had to end up with some weird sleeping arrangements. I understand the tour group before us dealt with the same issue. I’m sure it is something they will fix in the near future, but it was the biggest issue we had with our experience. Drink Prices: I believe they were $4-5 USD a cocktail. Not outrageous, but certainly much more expensive than we found in most places in Ha Noi.

Eating lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch again. 36 hrs 's here were wonderfull. Free shuttle bus from hotel in Hanoi to Cruise and back round in the evening of next day. Very enjoyabke.

Just amazing. Loved every minute of it.”
The cruise is everything it says it will be. Enjoy the fantastic views and beautiful scenery. The guide was knowledgable and friendly We booked the 2 day with Imperial Junk Halong in a honeymoon room . From the pick up from our hotel in Hanoi, this trip ran like a well oiled machine. Our room and bathroom were delightful and we loved with windows on both walls. We were lucky with the weather as although it was overcast, it did not rain and it was reasonably warm for January. The sea was incredibly flat which made things very comfortable on board. At night the engines are switched off and the boat is moored with a generator alongside so there is no vibration or noise to disturb your sleep. Lunch and dinner were superb with a very high standard of presentation. This is an excellent opportunity to sample dozens of different Vietnamese dishes. The three days were packed with excursions and activities; the caverns and kayaking were particularly enjoyable. This is a newly fitted ship finished to a very high standard. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend it!”
We finished our seven month around the world honeymoon (every continent except Africa) with a two night, three day tour in Halong Bay. It was a perfect way to end it! The staff were all lovely! We had Perter and Ten as tour guides and they were awesome, but all staff working on the cruise were really lovely and friendly! If you have the time I'd recommend doing the two night option because on the second day, you catch a 1.5 hour cruise to a secluded island through a section of Halong Bay that isn't as touristy as the section you only see on the one night option. The rooms are nice and the food was awesome! The only complaint from us is that it was overcast and rainy when we went but it did look very mystical with the clouds hovering around the top of the islands :)

A good cruise BUT Pay attention to the details: It's not what is advertised”
We went on a three day HaLong bay cruise on a junk some years back and wanted a similar experience. This cruise is a good cruise BUT there are two things you need to be aware of if you consider booking this 1) Although the pictures that attracted us were of a traditional type of boat the actual cruise was on a modern cruise boat. This has upsides, bigger bedrooms, modern bathrooms, BUT if you wanted a traditional or romantic boat make sure you double check, the pictures may not be anything like the boat.... and there are real junks out there (we went on one last time) and 'junk style' boats, you don't have to settle for a modern cruiser. It was a very nice boat but it wasn't what we'd planned or seen in the photos, and that's why I marked down 'facilities', they weren't the advertised facilities. 2) The operator is basically doing two day one night cruises and with some twists turning those into three day two night cruises: The boat goes out from and back to the harbour each day, limiting the distance it can go, most of the passengers were on a two day one night cruise, the four of us on a three day two night cruise were transferred to a day boat on day two and went out to see some attractions, returning late afternoon after the boat had dropped off the rest of the passengers and loaded the new set. To be fair our day trip was very nice, we visited a cave and we went kayaking, but we'd been kayaking the day before and the following days agenda was to visit a cave, (which is what the people who go off on day two did before going back to harbour). Frankly it's just 'padding out' an overnight cruise with some twists to make it a two night cruise. There are 'real' three day cruises out there that will of course get much further out and further away from all the day boats. This just wasn't one of them. IN SUMMARY: Yes, it was a nice boat and Yes, we had a nice time, but it wasn't really what we'd ordered or had been sold and that irks a bit. That's why I marked down the

Outstanding Service”
From start to finish, the personalised service provided by ALL staff was outstanding. Equally the meals were fabulous. Then there was the organisation: and there is a lot to organise with groups of people doing different things each day. Everything worked perfectly. Everyone was where they should have been on time. We had 100% confidence in the staff every step of our 2 night Junk stay. Would highly recommend Imperial Junk Halong. Special mention for Alan who escorted us on the bus to Halong Bay then Tom (Cruise) our tour director for the 3 days, Tony, and the staff on board Imperial Junk Halong - thank you.

Perfect Holiday with Imperial Classic Cruise”
We enjoyed it very much and we would do it again. The staff were outstanding and we were impressed with their English. Imperial classic cruise with amazing staff and great food. The kayaking, squid fishing, swimming time and caving was truly amazing experience as well. Thanks to all staff It was a plus point because everyone gets to meet everyone, and we became friends after that! I would definitely revisit!

Imperial junk international standards”
we had chosen the 1Night-2Days package. Overall it was a good experience. On 31st Dec 2011, the shuttle mini bus from the cruise operator came and picked us from our hotel. It was almost 3Hours journey to Bai Chay port. One small boat picked us from the dock and took us to the Cruise, Anchored bit away from the port. Upon boarding we were welcomed Fresh fruit juice. Soon after our voyage started. We liked our cabins, it was very neat and clean. We were also served the lunch, it was good, but I should ot say it was great. After travelling approximately for 2 hours, we reached to the tourist attractions of of Halong. The cruise guide took us to one of the Cave, after that we went for Kayaking for about an hour. Our cruise was anchored nearby and we spent one night in cruise. Over all it is a good experience and recommended for budget travellers, back packers and couples.

What a surprise from Cruise Management!”
I book Imperial Junk, but in a bus my tour guide Tony telling some of surprise for us. He tells about Imperial 15th anniversary of service, they upgraded my booking to Silver Sea Cruise (4 star boat he claimed) not an wooden boat like Imperial Junk. I think Silver Sea is just renovated, furniture looks like new. Food is ok, very very glut. Tony as a tour guide and all other crew is very friendly and helpful. Waiter always inform me about food they're served since I don't eat pork, they change my menu with seafood/beef. The minus is wifi not working all of time. But i think my review is not fit because I did not stay at the Imperial Junk.

Great ship”
I didn't actually take the Imperial Classic because we got upgraded to the Royal Palace cruise - a four star boat. It was very nice, though it had 16 cabins. I prefer a slightly smaller boat with fewer people, but the staff was great and the rooms were very nice. The food was just OK - it seems like some things were were just reheated, and the night they served fish, it was really dry. Still, Alex - our tour guide - was awesome, and everyone on board was super friendly.

I would say, the time spent in the cruise is simply fantastic. ”
The days I spent in Imperial classic cruise is a lifetime memory, filled with exciting and unmatchingly awsome experiences. Services and facilities are excellent. Moreover, the staff make it "home" to me. It offered me the best, a hotel can offer.

Got upgraded”
Halong bay is gorgeous and every spot is scenic. Tour itinerary is operated similarly to any other cruise. Stopped at Titop island, however it is invaded by local day trippers, the beach and the swim area are overcrowded. There is a 10minute hike up to the viewing gallery where the view is gorgeous. Next kayaking was fun and view was awesome. Took us to the swim area where we float and swim around for like 15minute. Meals were good and fancy. Rooms are clean. The guides and crews are friendly. Thanks to Mr "Sweetie" for his interesting narratives on informations and the history of Vietnam. They only provide 1 small bottled water per guest per day, it's recommended that you bring along your own water if you are not buying beverages. The transport to and fro Hanoi can be improved by changing the seats as they have very thin cushion and I felt that I am seating on a metal rod the entire 3.5h journey. Seats are really cramped. Fishing without bait is really challenging btw. 2D1N schedule is rather packed for our liking.

Great cruise, excellent service Imferial Junk HaLog”
We took the 2 days 1 night and spent overnight on the Imperial junk Cruise. The room is clean and grand with a magnificent view of the bay. I enjoyed the kayaking trip and the visit to the Dung Sot cave. Food is excellent. For muslims, the meat options can be requested to be changed with seafood. The junk has a very relaxed atmosphere and it has a nice open area to do taichi or just chill while cruising. Staff Mr Power Man and other speaks good english and that makes it easier for us to communicate and ask questions. Overall, I recommend this trip for anyone who loves nature.

Best tour ever! ”
We were upgraded for free to the Imperial legend boat for the two days one night cruise, and it was brilliant! Beautiful scenery, a luxurious feel to the boat and fantastic staff and people - sunbathing on the roof at happy hour while cruising was bliss. Got to explore a tourist filled but spectacular cave and swim in the sea, food was delicious With plenty of options - pricey drinks but great evening atmosphere too! Would recommend to anyone
