Just Perfect”
As a family travelling with young children we wanted a hotel which was walking distance to everything we wanted. We found The Imperial exactly what we needed. We arrived at 3.00 pm and all 3 rooms were available and a very good size. We were visiting for the Illuminations and after a walk along the promenade with the children aged 3 and 6 we were able to walk back to the big illuminations at Bispham. On the way back we caught a tram which stopped just outside the hotel. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. We will be booking again at this hotel.

Just a decent hotel. ”
Staff were attentive and helpful. Had a decent breakfast. Beds warm and comfy. The corridors and other rooms are all heated. Enjoyed my stay, this time and the last time

Excellent!”
The Imperial stay was excellent. We upgraded to a Master Suite and had superb views with lots of room with a separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom. The staff were superb - all smiling and all very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly the gym, the pool and the treatment spa were all still closed which meant it wasn't quite so good re value for money, but we certainly still enjoyed our stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious too - we highly recommend having evening dinner there! For those wanting to consider staying in the suite,wWe stayed in the Churchill Suite at a cost of £599 for 2 nights for 3 people, including parking charges and a 1pm checkout. Lovely staff, lovely food, lovely room, lovely hotel - looking forward to the spa, gym and treatments being open the next time we stay :-)

Step back in time! ”
Surprised when arrived!! Beautiful hotel with some great history about it! Loved the decor and furnishings. It really felt like we were stepping back in time! Walking through the revolving doors to an amazing large entrance lobby was breathtaking! I chose the hotel for its elegance and historical factors to surprise my partner as she loves historical building! She was wowed! Food was fantastic in the evening, couldn't fault it! Went for the 3 course and it was all presented professionally! We felt like we were dining at a 5* restaurant! There was so much available at breakfast, from a full English which was a buffet style help yourself, to toast, fruits, croissants, cereals, teas and various drinks available. My partner is Vegan and they catered for her every need. Went above and beyond in my opinion! We went for a standard room, it was on the 4th floor. It was presented very elegantly with great decor and a nice size room. They made up a bed for our little one too which still left plenty of room! Very nice and good size bathroom, lots of tea and coffees and a nice size flat tv! I cannot fault the room it was very nice! We will be upgrading to a sea view room next time! The staff were very polite and helpful in every way! Always on hand to answer any question day or night. Some of the facilities were unavailable such as the pool which would have been nice to experience however, this did not fault the experience in any way! We only stayed 1 night for our first time but we will definitely be staying again, and longer next time! This hotel has kept much of its originality and that's what makes it so amazing! We even had the opportunity to experience the Churchill room in the evening by a very nice member of staff with a detailed background explanation! It felt like a personal experience and was very memorable! On site parking made life so much easier to just park up on arrival and leave the car until we were done! It cost £9 extra to park overnight but it would have co

Nicest place we’ve stayed at in Blackpool ”
Lovely room with a bay window and partial sea view. Lots of amenities, although we didn’t use any. Decent WiFi. Comfortable and clean rooms. Quality of the room was higher than the others we’ve been to in Blackpool. Breakfast buffet was ok, good selection and variety even for a veggie.

Poor value”
We have often stayed at the Imperial Hotel and been pleased with the service and facilities. This year we found that the hotel facilities swimming pool spa etc were closed. The usually excellent breakfast service was sqyashed into a function room and many items were unavailable. However the price was the same. Hotel staff wore masks but no other guests did and the hotel was crowded so,it was very uncomfortable. Blackpool is now run down and the back streets are derelict so we wont be coming back.

Very good”
Great value, the hotel is "tired", but at the price, including a great breakfast and friendly staff its a good deal. car parking for where it is is ridiculous at £9, park around the corner for free!

Above average”
The king size bed in our room was so old and not comfortable. Corridors are really warm but our room was cold. Next nay sheets and towels are not renewed. Breakfast is almost disgusting. The room is really different than pictures where we book. There was an option for smoking or non smoking rooms. I have chosen smoking one and there wasn't any option when we arrive. So for each time we need to smoke, we need to come down from 4th floor to ground and smoke outside of the hotel. Basically it was waste of money. Sorry for this review. Only good point is; Staff was good.

4 star Hotel??”
If this hotel is 4 stars premier in 10 min down the road should be 10 then. 20 min in the queue to check-in as only one person at reception desk and other stations not manned . Nowhere to park as car park rammed. People double parking so you can't go through car park . Room fairly clean but on massive slope so you are in danger of rolling of the bed. Overall avoid for prices they are charging

Great place if you don't like Ikea!”
I stayed two nights in preparation for the half-marathon. Left car in car park all weekend as everything is only a walking distance away. Found a really nice Thai/chinese restaurant just 5mins north of the hotel. An entertainment theatre (Funny Girls) just 5mins south+ everything else in-between. Bed+ breakfast in The Imperial was cheaper than just Bed anywhere else+ the breakfast did not disappoint. Very happy customer!

loved it ”
This hotel is lovely both inside and out, the architecture is fab. The rooms are comfortable and basic but reflect the price. Based in a quiet location on the sea front away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool but within a short walk away. The bedrooms and bathrooms feel a bit tired there were a few flys and some mould around the bath handles. The rooms are comfortable and well kitted out. The pool, gym and facilities were good. Breakfasts = great food for all from cooked breakfast/cereal/continental. Staff are happy ang helpful. We enjoyed our stay

Not what we expected ”
Myself and my partner was celebrating our one year anniversary, we thought we had got a good deal paying less than the standard price. However upon arrival to our room we knew that this wasn't the case, the lobby was gorgeous then we came across empty wine bottles next to the lift that were still there that evening when we returned. The room we had was very standard, but we both felt that because we had gotten this cheap deal through a third party booking site that we had been given the worst room in the hotel, the bathroom was in bits, no water pressure from the taps or shower, the shower head was broken. Also we found bits of food & paper cuttings round the bed & under the desk, so it hadn't been cleaned properly since the last occupants or even before them! The staff was abaolutley brilliant but I'm afraid I won't be returning to the imperial hotel after everything else

Mature hotel, close to all the main attractions.”
Enjoyed my stay with my young son. Limited options for younger kids. New kids room/area stuck in the bowels of the hotel. Not sure if everyone knew it was there as there did not seem to be much activity around the areas. (Imperial needs to promote it more on arrival) Twin room was spacious and clean. Only issue, window was looking out into internal hotel area, which obviously has issues with pigeons? Damaged netting up to stop the birds getting to perch on window sills, but was not effective. Difficult to leave windows open at night due to this fact. Only one bar in the hotel, which seemed to have no consistency in its pricing over the weekend I stayed. Charge for overnight parking for residents. Not informed prior to arrival. Overall, 7/10.
