Great business hotel with impeccable service”
I stayed for one night only (business function), but still found this hotel experience remarkable. From the truly 'imperial' lobby to the very nicely furnished hotel rooms and the impeccable service: the Imperial Hotel Osaka lives up to it's grand name. Hotel rooms can be quite small in Japan (even in luxury hotels), but the Imperial Hotel does not only offer very spacious rooms but also extremely good-sized bathrooms. The decor is somewhat more on the 'plush' side (it's the Imperial Hotel, right!), but the rooms do offer all necessary technical gizmos at top notch standard (flat screen tv/dvd system, broadband internet connection, room control panel on the night stands and high tech reading lights). The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Try to stay in a room with river view: if you are on a higher floor, the view on the river is simply breathtaking. I also got to experience the lower lobby restaurant as well as in house catering services in one of the ball rooms overlooking the river. The food and service were impeccable. Due to an early flight out of Kansai airport, I had to order in room breakfast service (comes at a price!). The food came exactly the minute I had ordered it, and was of very high quality. Another plus is the friendliness of the staff (they go out of the way to explain the hotel room features to you, give recommendations for good restaurants and all are simply a delight to encounter. Imperial Hotel Osaka makes you feel welcome from check-in time to check-out. The only slight downside is the location of the Imperial Hotel: it is quite far from the center of the city, and connections to the Kansai airport are a bit tricky (you need to take a taxi to the central Osaka bus terminal, then take an airport bus for reaching the airport, which took me around 90 minutes in total). For a business stay, the Imperial Hotel is a delight to stay in and definitively one of the friendliest hotels I have encountered in Japan. If you like to
Fantastic Hotel! ”
We had a great time at Imperial Hotel Osaka. The accommodation is definitely 5-star with all the amenities. Location is not in the tourist area of the city, but it is in a serene and beautiful location right beside the river. One can very easily go to all the important places within the city, as the shuttle bus to Osaka station (where one can connect to all the places within and outside the city) leaves and returns every 10 minutes, the whole day until 9pm. The nearest subway station is also just 15mins walk from the hotel. The hotel staff are very polite and accommodating, and speaks English very well. The various hotel restaurants are well appointed and serve different kinds of food, although a bit pricey as expected of all 5-star hotels. There are some food outlets nearby for those who wish to eat outside, as well as 7-11 and Lawson groceries open 24 hours just right beside and across the hotel. All in all, we had a nice stay at Imperial Hotel and really enjoyed our vacation. We will definitely choose this hotel when we go back to Osaka.
Amazing hotel, strongly recommended ”
I spent two nights in Osaka in Imperial Hotel Osaka. It was an absolutely amazing. For pros. First of all, the guest room is considerably large in Japan. And still big enough comparing worldwide. This is important for me. And the staff surprised me when I checked in. Even In many high rated hotels, they consider cleaning staff is merely who keeps everything clean and tidy. But here, in this hotel, every cleaning staff is properly dressed up (even better than receptions in some hotels) and amazingly well-mannered. If I could put all this in a single word, that word in my mind would be "flawless". For cons, it is a little bit of away form the center of city for Osaka. And the price might be a little bit of high (but it would be reasonable due to the "flawless" I mentioned above).
Amazing Grace ! ! ! ”
Many thanks for all staffs of the Imperial Hotel with the great treatments. First of all , Front made my room upgrade to the imperial floor with no fee. That was so comfortable with the great view. Next , Bell boys were so kind and did the great jobs for us. And Buses were so convenient from Osaka station. They are so polite and tender. We could satisfied with Osaka city due to The Imperial Hotel staffs. I’m looking forward to the next stay. Have a great day and deal. See you next in December. Indeed , Imperial Hotel is the Hotel of the Hotel. You can stay with no regrets. Yes , Sure ! ! ! ( ◠‿◠ )
Great Hospitality ”
Many thanks for all staff of the Imperial Hotel Osaka. It has a good location to go to the center of the City. And from the Hotel , It has a great view near the river. Staffs are so polite and very tender for the Guests. I will make a choice and stay Imperial Hotel Osaka at the next tour. See you next at the counter. Have a great deal and job , The Imperial Hotel Osaka ! ! ! ( ◠‿◠ )（╹◡╹）( ◠‿◠ )
5 stars is not enough!”
I was absolutely amazed by the standards of Hotel imperial. I suspect I got an upgrade as I was on the highest floor in special 'imperial floors' room and it was of a standard of luxury you will not often find. Too much to list in one review but evening turn down service, enormous beautiful bathroom and room. and the staff service is very high end service. The second you look a bit lost someone will appear as if from nowhere to assist. Could not recommend more highly and I would only stay here on future trips to Osaka. Even if it's a bit above your budget I suggest spending a bit more for the experience.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at”
My family LOVED this hotel! Very clean, very comfy, and the service was extremely efficient. Ideal place to stay at if you want to take a train to Universal Studios Japan and Kyoto because it is only about 7 minutes away from a JR station. You need to ride a JR train to get to those two places. Only issue with this hotel is that it is quite far from the shopping area (Dotonbori) and the food market (Kurumon Ichiba) but that was not a big problem. If ever we return to Osaka, we will surely stay at the Imperial Hotel Osaka again.
We really enjoyed our stay in Imperial Hotel Osaka. Will definitely come back again. PROS- large clean room, good view (choose the riverside room), comfortable beds, free water bottles daily, staff are polite and fluent in english, free shuttle to JR osaka station, 7-10min walk from sakuranomiya station, abundant power outlets, near convenience stores CONS- the area is dull at night, but if you want a quiet and relaxing atmosphere after your tour, i guess its not a disadvantage at all
Beautiful and welcoming hotel and staff. ”
After spending some time in Tokyo and then Kyoto, we were already a bit exhausted arriving to Osaka. The imperial hotel was like a saviour for us - it was so tranquil and relaxing, and it was just the kind of luxury we needed after quite a few hectic days. The staff were lovely without be my annoying, the mood was premium without being pretentious or obnoxious. I found the bars to be a little ridiculously priced (1300 yen for a coffee when half that price with still be expensive enough to retain the premium feel) but then I'm someone who never understands why a premium hotel needs to charge extortionate prices for basic items like that - there's a cap to what I'm prepared to pay for something that costs 3.50 in Starbucks. Other than that, it was a really lovely experience.
5 Stars Hands Down”
This hotel was top notch in every way, but most notably, the service. I had left my phone in a taxi in Kyoto prior to arriving at Imperial Hotel Osaka and Mr. Saka at the bell captain desk could not have been more helpful in making several calls to help me out (and I did get the phone back somehow)! Not only was this a beautiful and luxurious hotel, but the staff were just the nicest people. Thank you, Imperial Osaka!
A home away from home”
This was our first visit to Japan and the Imperial hotel was a great welcome to Japan. Wonderful old fashioned service at check-in, turn down, front door, breakfast and restaurants. Enjoyed ambience of rooms - clean, soft and elegant decor in a timeless style. Amenities in bathroom were generous. Great view of city from our room especially the lights in the evening. Lovely cherry tree lined walks along the river bank. Would love to visit again in Spring. Shuttle bus leaves regularly to take you into Osaka Station where you are able to access the shopping district.
Quality room but very poor breakfast ”
We like the room. The room is spacious and the toilet is huge. The water from the shower is very very strong. Best. The staff are very friendly. We stayed in few hotels during this trip, we have to say that their staff are the best. We arrived quite early and were not allowed to check in yet which is their practice. We asked if we can use the shower at the swimming pool to refresh ourselves while waiting to get our room in few hours time. To our surprise, we were informed that we have to pay for the use of the toilet at the swimming pool area it’s for their club members. Just a note to those who wish to swim in their Swimming pool, you have to pay. Apparently this is common in japan. Breakfast- we were very very disappointed with their breakfast for a 5 stars hotel. It was the worst among all the hotels we stayed during our trip this time. The quality of the food is bad and lack of varieties. If u have to pay a lot for the breakfast, my suggestion is to eat out. Not worth the price. There is nothing much nearby the hotel. U can walk to the castle which takes about 30 mins walk. U can see nice river n nice view behind the hotel. During sakura season, u can see many Sakura flowers along the river. The hotel provides shuttle bus to and from Osaka train station. It’s quite frequent. It takes about 15 to 20 mins to reach the hotel or Osaka train station. Conclusion, u get good room with nice view, but u have to take note of the location of the hotel which is not near the subway and in a quite area. To compensate for the location, the hotel provides high frequency of free shuttle bus.
Excellent stay all-around”
I'm really happy to have the hotel be recomended by Agoda. The hotel was fantastic in every way and I will always remember the front desk team's excellence in service and friendliness. However, I wish the room didn't smell so smokey though it got better as I got used to it day by day. The view was amazing and I would always love to have that view every time I say at Imperial Hotel. It was a little out of thew away from my office in shin sai bashi, but I'd stay there again next time visit Osaka.
Second stay at Imperial Hotel”
We stayed at this hotel 8 years ago, when we first visited Osaka and the hotel left us a really good impression. This time we travelled with a 4-year-old and again we were glad that we'd chosen this hotel. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was spotless clean and comfortable. Although It wasn't located at the heart of Umeda, free shuttle bus left every 15 minutes to Osaka JR station, which was rather convenient. Love this hotel and look forward to our next stay!
Our stay at the Imperial Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and luxurious. The hotel is located right on the river, so there’s a nice view. We will definitely be coming back if we return to Osaka. I highly recommend the Imperial Hotel!
The staff of Imperial Hotel Osaka were very friendly. The view from the room was fantastic. The shuttle bus was very convenient, so it would not be a major problem to travel around Osaka with public transportation. Thanks for the great experience.
Lives fully up to it's reputation”
Elegance and service abound at the Imperial Hotel. Guests are truly made to feel like guests. There is nothing ordinary or 'every-day' about the hotel. Be prepared to pay premium prices at the many elegant restaurants in the hotel, including the breakfast buffet. But the concierge will also provide you with a list of nearby restaurants- there are many to choose from so there's no need to break the bank eating. There's lots of shopping nearby for deli or picnic food.
Many thanks for the treating of the Hotel. ”
Locations are very beautiful and convenient. And All Staffs are very kind have professional skills. Especially Front and Floor managers did excellent jobs. Room was so clean and amenities had high qualities. I was satisfied a stay of this Hotel. Imperial Hotel is the Imperial Hotel of the Hotels. lol. I’m looking forward to the next stays. Thanks for the Imperial Hotel. (●´ω｀●)
Perfect place to stay”
Hotel imperial is a perfect location where there's a free shuttle going to osaka station. And from there you can ride subway going to any places. The hotel is big and clean. The staff are so friendly to the guests. There are restaurants near at the hotel and also mc donalds. So will enjoy your stay. 😊
Great Hotel to stay in”
I loved every detail about this hotel. I stayed in Japan in 4 hotels in that trip and i have to say the Imperial Hotel was the best of them all. The staff were wonderful the interior was luxurious. I loved the hotel shampoo and body cleanser that was provided in the rooms. The only thing negative i have to say is that we booked two rooms and when we checked in they gave us only one room and i had to sort it out with the reception staff. Other than that its a great hotel
