Perfect hotel”
I stayed in imperial hotel last Christmas and I really enjoyed my time there. So when I visit Tokyo this summer I chose to stay here again. The experience was absolutely amazing! Location is right in the center of Tokyo so it is a huge bonus if you want to dine or shop at Ginza. Staff were extremely professional and friendly: They helped me book several restaurants in Tokyo and made sure my requests were all taken care of! My room was spacious and the decorations inside were magnificent. If I ever visit Tokyo again I will definitely choose Imperial Hotel.
Excellent stay”
The Imperial Hotel Tokyo was our last night in Japan after 14 days. We had stayed in various ryokans and 5* hotels, but the Imperial Hotel Tokyo leaves the biggest impression. The Imperial Hotel Tokyo noted that my wife and I were on our honeymoon and upgraded us to a suite. The suite itself was impressive. A large living room, a king-size bed, free movies, gold trimmings on bathroom fittings... it was a shame that we had only stayed one night. The hospitality of the hotel and staff was noticeable at every turn. The staff greeted us at corridors, lift lobbies and other public areas. There was an old world charm in this hotel. I would most definitely stay in this hotel again the next time I am in Tokyo.
Fabulous hotel!”
The Imperial is steeped in tradition as perhaps the oldest international hotel in Japan. Frank Lloyd Wright's famous and beautiful building was its distinguishing characteristic during the postwar era. It's now a bustling tower and main building, just like most other hotels. But, the location is superb, within minutes of all the convenient subways and JR lines; loads of shopping around the corner; with the fabulous restaurants and watering holes which make Ginza the top neighborhood in Tokyo. The staff is some of the best in Japan and they take great pride in working at the Imperial. When I return to the Imperial, I would opt to stay in the main building next time. The Tower is a trek from the closest hotel coffee shop, therefore I ordered room service for breakfast every morning. It was prompt and excellent. Also, foreigners can join the Imperial Hotel Club at no extra cost. I found the Club lounge to be a good place for meetings, and didn't mind the extra charge for drinks/snack.
Outstanding service in an outstanding hotel ”
This is truly one of the great hotels that emphasizes service and elegant style. It is superbly situated near the Ginza and the Imperial palace and is close to at least 3 subway stations and Tokyo station. From the minute you enter the staff were impeccable - polite gracious and friendly, ready to help at any time. We were delighted to be upgraded to the top floor of the Tower building whose rooms overlooked the Ginza, quite a stunning site at night. The complimentary continental breakfast was served in our room with silver service on a trolley. The rooms amenities were outstanding and we were very comfortable throughout our stay. My parents stayed here in the 60s and loved it. If you get a chance stay here please do and you will not regret it. We would love to come back soon!
Great Location with Generous Rooms”
As a regular toThe Imperial Hotel, the standard of service and attention paid to guests' preference is indeed above par excellence. I am, as usual, satisfied with the bedroom/bathroom cleanliness and the prompt attendance of the service staff. My stay in Tokyo has revolved between The Imperial Hotel and Okura (New Wing) which is split 60/40% respectively. A recommendation I wouldl like to make, which is common practice in hotels like Shangri-la, is the special welcome accorded to guests who have stayed at the hotel before i.e. all your particulars are completed before the guests' arrival and we either sign the completed check-in forms or it is brought to the bedroom for signature. Each such guest is welcome by their last name....and it makes the guest feel really good.....especially after a long flight. Such a welcome will surely be a breath of "fresh air" to any traveller. Great hotel. Great staff. Great location”
It's our first time to travel to Tokyo with 15 month kid. So a good location, facilities and services were our requirement, even the price was kind of over our budget. The Imperial Tokyo was our right decision. We got all our requirements. Actually the services were beyond our expectation. Bellboys always gave us hands every time our taxi reached to hotel.-tons of stuff to carry because of the baby. The hotel offers the greatest facilities but disguises in old styled fashion. I can't think of the greater and more convenient hotel than The Imperial. Besides, there are many good restaurants in the hotel complex. pricy but what you will get always worthy
Comfortable, clean and spacious”
If you want to stay in the Tokyo/Ginza region and are willing to pay the 5-star prices then this is the place to stay. It has an almost old work charm but that didn't mean in need of revocation. The room gadgets all work well and the bathroom is modern. Staff are very helpful. The pool and gym aren't large but each time I went I was the only user. Do join their Imperial International Club (or whatever it's called) on their web page as it makes checking in easier. Agoda slightly beat the booking direct price and everything went smoothly.
We loved this hotel”
The Imperial Hotel was exemplary. We stayed just one night, the last night of our Japan holiday - we would have liked to stay longer! Public areas and our room were beautifully appointed. Staff were very attentive to our wishes. We joined the Imperial Hotels International Club before our arrival at the hotel and were upgraded to an Imperial room in the old building (we had originally booked a standard tower room). There is a real sense of history at the hotel and the architecture is from an other era - fascinating. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Tokyo again.
Great stay”
This is the sixth time I have visited Japan and have stayed at the Imperial before. It is a wonderful place to stay if you are doing business in downtown Tokyo or if shopping is your pleasure as the Ginza is just a five minute walk. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is always the best. If you have the opportunity to stay in Tokyo, you should give the Imperial at least one try!
imperial hotel tokyo”
Imperial hotel tokyo is one of the best hotel in japan. I enjoyed 3 nights there. the location of the hotel is very close the the shopping street Ginza. The room is clean. The hotel staff are well-trained and very polite. The restaurant in the hotel is also good but quite expensive.
Tokyo has something to interest everyone.”
From the Check-in to Check-out - everything was exceptional. They had noted my special request - as two lady friends traveling on a birthday celebration - and not only provided the twin bed room but also a gift and an upgraded room (to the main building, with a sitting room). We enjoyed shopping in the arcade downstairs also and were delighted by the wonderful service. Thank you Imperial Hotel Tokyo ! We might just make this an annual event !!
Imperial a World-Class Hotel”
No matter how widely you've traveled, the Imperial Hotel is a wonderful experience, and the best of Japanese service. It wasn't that our room was especially huge or extravagant, but rather a sense that everything worked really well and the staff really cares about guests. The electronic keys opened the doors quickly and easily, the shower was great and had a temperature control that worked, the room had a control panel for the room temp and lights and both worked like a charm (when was the last time your room thermostat in a hotel actually worked?). If you need anything, like ice, it's immediately delivered to your room....and the staff refuses tips (like many service people in Japan)! The pool/sauna/whirlpool are a dream, and equipped with everything including fresh hair brushes and razors. Our only gripe came one day when we returned about 2 pm from a day out and the room hadn't been cleaned. One call quickly straightened that out, and on other days we learned to request that our room be cleaned by noon or 1. Only other quibble is that rooms The Tower (a second building) require a bit of a walk from the main hotel. But that is compensated for by the elevators that work very well, no matter how busy the hotel. A great hotel experience overall.
Worthy of repeat stays.”
This week was my third stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. I am a member of the Imperial Club, so I asked if any room upgrades were available. This was not possible, so my wife and I shared a somewhat small room. We both really appreciated the great water pressure in the shower. We thought there might be a Sunday brunch in the top floor restaurant and were surprised to see breakfast (only) had ended as early as 9:30am.
Fabulous Location”
The hotel is located right by the Imperial Palace and one of the largest green areas of Tokyo. The hotel is also an easy walk from the Ginza shopping area. The service is first class, but this is not really a tourist hotel. Short sleeves are frowned on and the local Japanese stare at any one in holiday shorts. Men are expected to wear a jacket in the public areas of the hotel, although we did not comply with this, we were pointed towards the sign frequently requesting a jacket to be worn.
One of the BEST SERVICE Hotel, i’ve ever been in”
My stay in Imperial Tokyo is memorable. One thing about this hotel that i highlight is their level of customer service, is really really great. The hotel room itself looks very modern , good, and very comfortable. The location of the hotel is also very strategic, 1 minute walking to Hibiya metro station, also very near with Hibiya shopping mall. When i saw some pictures from the websites, i was kind of worried that the hotel looks a little bit old from those pictures. But, let me tell you, that this is wrong. The moment you stepped into lobby of the hotel, you’ll find really good atmosphere of what a 5 star hotel should be. Their level of customer service is really high with a touch of Japanese hospitality. All in all, i suggest everyone to stay in this hotel.
Excellent location ”
Excellent location, very attentive staff. Rooms in main building are light and nicely decorated, well equipped bathrooms. Drinks in the bars are expensive even by Tokyo standards. However the location in Ginza means there is a huge number of restaurants and bars nearby, great transport links and proximity to the Imperial Gardens
Excellent service and facilities in every way.”
We enjoyed our stay at the Imperial Hotel and were impressed by the facilities, the cuisine for breakfast in the Parkside Diner and the exemplary courtesy and helpfulness of all your staff. We would recommend the hotel unhesitatingly to anyone wishing to stay in a central position in Tokyo prepared to pay an appropriate price for top-class experience.
One of the best stays in Tokyo”
From the minute we areived until stepping back into a taxi to leave, the hotel staff couldnt do more to help up. Superb hotel, excellent facilities with very responsive and attentive staff. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, with a 1yr old it was easy to walk into Ginza find food or coffee in the area and wander around soaking up Tokyo. Two main metro stations also walking distance helped move around the city without needing taxis the whole time. The hotel service was exemplary, from the check in at reception to concierge to the room service delivery, everyone tried to make us feel at home and do all they could to help us relax on holiday. Would highly recommend this hotel, perhaps not the cheapest, but certainly amazing value for money and perfect for a city trip like this when you eventually want to escape thencity and chill in your hotel at the end of anlong day walking around.
A Mature Hotel”
There are many fine hotels in excellent locations in Tokyo and the Imperial is as good as most of them. Perhaps it is not the most modern or high-tech, but it would be hard to fault any aspect of the hotel and its operations. Many of the more recent additions to the "5-star" hotels in this wonderful city would be twice the price. For a business traveler whose company watches expenses, this is the perfect combination of prestige and price.
THE CONSISTENT IMPERIAL HOTEL”
It has been nearly nine years since I was last at The Imperial Hotel and so I was looking forward to this trip. Apart from some refresh the hotel is still as good as before. There are other hotels in Tokyo that are more modern but there is an atmosphere at the Imperial that is unique, and very enjoyable. Look forward to another visit hopefully in less than nine years.
