Great hotel with fantastic location”
We chose this hotel due to the reviews here on Agoda and were not disappointed. We had booked a superior room and when we arrived we were given a room on the fourth floor which was very nice but quite loud because of a constant generator noise which we thought would have made it impossible to have a good night sleep. When we talked to the reception they were very helpful and immediately moved us to another room which was perfect - beds are very comfortable, everything is spotless (the cleaners come in twice a day), lovely rain shower and a great sea view. We really liked the hotel's beach bar, the drinks are pricey for Thai standards, but there are three (!!) Happy Hours during the day which most hotel guests took advantage of. The bar snacks are not cheap either but VERY nice. The breakfast buffet offers everything you can wish for, Western and Thai. We like Chaweng Noi beach a lot, it is a beautiful and relaxing spot away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng - still close enough to take a cheap Tuk-Tuk ride to Chaweng or Lamai if you fancy a good night out. The hotel's pool area is nice but quite small. However, you do not need it here anyway as the beach is so nice, the water fantastic and there are plenty of comfy sunbeds under the palm trees. You get fresh beach towels brought into your room every night. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful throughout our 5 night stay. This was our fourth holiday in Thailand and we have seen many good and bad hotels; the Impiana was definitely one of our positive experiences and we would gladly stay here again next time we go to Koh Samui.
Amazing first stay in Thailand!”
Found a great deal on this hotel, and stayed in the Superior Seaview room on Level 4 for 7 nights. From the get go this was a fantastic stay, very welcoming and friendly staff. Amazing view over the resort and of the ocean, with beautiful sunrises. The room was clean and spacious enough for us to relax and get settled. Housekeeping was great every morning, and every evening replacing our beach towels and placing lovely flowers on our pillows. We had a great massage on day 2 with the deal offered on arrival (1hour for 500THB). Location is good, right on the doorstep of the beach - Chaweng Noi is definitely the nicer, cleaner, more quiet part of the beach, compared to Chaweng beach. The breakfast was more than adequate - we worked our way through all of the omelettes during our stay - and enough variety to get you feed and ready to go for the day. The only annoyance with breakfast was the constant bugs/flies - but that was remedied with a bit of bug spray and waving our hands around. We ate dinner at the restaurant twice - not a lot of vegetarian options, but enough if you can't be bothered getting to the other restaurants around. A quick 10min walk to nearby 7/11 and restaurants - uphill. The free shuttle to Chaweng Central Festival was handy, and we picked up a few snacks and extra drinkable water. The hotel also has a Hospitality Lounge - we made good use of this, looking at maps, planning our days, having a coffee. Overall, a wonderful stay at Impiana, and would stay again. Thank you to the staff who were always smiling willing to help.
Arranged wedding party at Impiana Resort”
We traveled to Koh Samui to celebrate our wedding with our closest family. We booked Impianas wedding package and had all correspondence over email. We arrived four days prior to the wedding day and had a few meetings with Impiana about wedding details. The staff at Impiana is amazing and was way over our expectations. We have never ever felt so welcomed and would really recommend others to celebrate the wedding at Impiana resort. This resort is located on a clean and beautiful beach. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean and nice. The restaurant serves delicious food and the breakfast has many choices to choose from. We loved it and would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place in Koh Samui. Saemyi and Morten
Wonderful resort in a great location”
We stayed at the Impiana for 3 nights in February in a superior room. The room was a good size with a very nice bathroom and comfy bed. The resort has the best location in Samui, right on a beautiful, fairly quiet part of Chaweng Noi beach, but still only a short taxi or shuttle ride into Chaweng. The spa is fantastic - we both had massages and facials at a very reasonable price - very professional and friendly staff. The food at the restaurant is very good but a little more expensive than the restaurants down the beach, but the food quality is much better. The breakfast buffet is very extensive with something for every taste. We would definitely stay there again.
Very good breakfasts, perfect Beach”
We stayed at the Impiana Resort for 2 days, the room was clean (road Side), but conditioner was too loud. we enjoyed the breakfasts, they were delicious, and the staff was very polite and helpful! The location of the Impiana is good because Chaweng Noi beach is considered to be one of the best in Samui. Also you can use free scheduled transfer to the center of Chaweng (Festival Shopping Center). Thank Impiana Resort for good stay!
Fantastic location, lovely staff,beautiful weather”
When I first arrived I was placed in the corner room of a Seaview on the 2nd floor.. the view was great but all I heard was the traffic from the main road out front so I asked for another room bt had to wait until the next afternoon, which meantt I had to wear earplugs to sleep the first night. After moving to the ground floor which still had fabulous views (even better than the 2nd flr actually) I had a lovely time. Got massages from the beach for baht (expensive for Thailand but not for Koh Samui), even plurged and had a 2.5 hr pampering session at the resorts spa for which included a body scrub, wrap and a facial. Took advantage of happy hour at the reorts beach bar most days... buy one get one free. Most meals I ate at this bar also, otherwise I rbought pineapple or kebabs or coconuts from the beach sellers. I never needed to get into the main centre of Chaweng as all the beach hawkers had everything I needed....including an airbed for the water 250baht, a king size Thai silk bedspread but the hotel did offer a free shuttle bus service into town. I walked most mornings and found the walk/jog to Chaweng around 30 mins. Definitely returning to this hotel on my next trip to Koh Samui...it won me over!
Wonderful stay, clean quiet beach and best staff”
We decided to stay at the Impiana because it's not a party beach and we wanted to relax. You absolutely can do this here! The beach is wonderful and quiet. There is one club at the beach and there was a party one night - we got free tickets and decided to have a few drinks there. Afterwards we slept like babies :-) The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - we felt like home. They offer a free shuttle every day to Chaweng (including pick-up) and you can book cheap trips to the fisherman's village market, which we recommend! The breakfast is fantastic - you sit in the restaurant looking at the waves :-) The Spa was an outter-world experience with the best massage I've ever got - it was magic. I highly recommend the Thai-Yoga massage! If we ever come back to Koh Samui we will stay here!
I only that i can say, the hotel is marvelous”
We arrived late at about 9pm on Saturday from Hadyai. We were welcome by reception and they show us few rooms for us to select. We decided to stay at 2nd floor unfortunately view was blocked by the roof and trees. We request to change the room to different type of view. We meet Resort Manager on Monday and he upgraded our room to specious room with smile. Overall I can say that, we very satisfied and recommended for any first timer to come to Koh Samui and stay at Impiana Samui.
Fan-tas-tic stay!!”
Koh samui is a quite recluse...which is big contrast to Bangkok life! Impiana was a perfect selection! Could hire scooters from very nearby...Chaweng market was easily accessible since the Hotel had a shuttle to and from Chaweng two to three times a day...which is quite a respite! Best is d immaculate private beach!
Boutique hotel with warmth feel ”
Although the resort is not in the Chaweng town, it is easily assessible within 5 - 10 minutes away. The lobby offers a very homely feel buffered by the staffs' friendliness. From the seaview room, I have a full, astounding view of the whole resort. The swimming pool is located next to the restaurant providing proximity to the bar and restaurant at a call away. From the pool, we can walk over to the beach which is located just a doorstep away. The long sandy beach is unquestionably relaxing, as we laze on the bench and sip the favourite drinks of our choice with a book in our hand at all times. Their promotional happy hours are reasonable and kept us wanting to consume more. The breeze could not be more relaxing but tend to make us doze off unconsciously. The spa facilities are also commendable, as the massage services are soothing under the purview of professional masseurs and relatively inexpensive compared to other resorts of same quality. We had tried going to Baan Taling Ngam for its massage but find that the price is way higher compared to Swasana Spa although the location is not as conducive. Overall, our stay there has been very pleasant for the price that is considerably cheaper compared to the smaller resorts in Chaweng town center. Notwithstanding, the resort should consider improving the shower facilities, as the water pressure is weak with uneven water temperature. During the peak shower moments, the water level can be low causing unnecessary distress. Also, the breakfast hours end slightly earlier at 10am, which will not bode too well for residents who had late nights before. The breakfast buffet is satisfactory with the essential varieties such as breads/croissants, the egg station and the noodle sections.
Great value for money”
This hotel is situation on Chaweng Noi beach. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, b/w Dec 18 and Dec 21. We initially got a room with a nice view on the 2nd floor however the door leading out to the balcony was faulty, it had a large gap b/w the two doors which would've let lots of insects through. Upon our request the room was changed, but the replacement didnt have a great view, but still wasnt too bad. The beach itself was quite ok, it had a quiet and private ambience to it. Teh staff was quite curtious and reasonably helpful, though language can be a problem! The breakfast was quite good, and was set up in one of their 2 restaurants just overlooking the beach. Overall, we had a very good experience, mostly due to the fact that this one of the best value for money hotels in Samui. The only down side is that we were on Chaweng Noi and had to travel to Chaweng beach (the main bazaar/beach, 15mins by scooter) daily.
Great hotel, value for money”
"Wow"!! Impiana definitely left a solid impression on me & I will definitely stay there again.... Fantastic staff, clean beach & quality food... I wouldnt stay anwhere else in chaweng noi. Close enough to the action of chaweng beach, but far enough away for peace & quiet... Can't wait to go back :-)
Amazing stay at an amazing resort!”
My wife and I stayed here for 7 days over Christmas and had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was all incredibly friendly, the breakfast was very good. Cocktails and dinners were all also very good, most notably their special seafood buffet dinner they did one evening on the beach. The spa (Swasana) was fantastic, a highlight of the trip. They offered 2 for 1 massages from 10am-3pm and we took advantage with 2 90-minute oil massages each. Very zen-like space with great aromas and soothing music, and the staff adjust well to your desired firmness. Most importantly to us, the location was perfect for what we wanted - quiet, relaxing, scenic, romantic, close enough to activities but not right there. There were some families and kids, but in no way overwhelming or diminishing of a romantic experience. Chaweng Noi beach is beautiful and very quiet in comparison to Chaweng, and having a free 15min shuttle to Chaweng made it easy to go out when we wanted to explore.
Very nice stay at the Impiana hotel”
We spent 6 nights at the Impiana and enjoyed our stay which included the new year's eve with a very well organised diner and activities, fireworks. The breakfast and restaurant is very good, the bar area also provides a very convenient snooker. We enjoyed a lot the Spa with very good staff, and a Spa providing discount from 11am to 4pm which allowed us to enjoy a lot the Spa. We had booked 2 Superior rooms with Ocean view, rooms are very nice and clean...but there was a continuous machinery noise which was very uncomfortable for a good rest during our stay (especially room 214). Nevertheless I recommend this hotel which is situated on the very private beach of Chaweng Noi which only contains very few hotels (6 or 7).
Impiana Samui”
I stayed at Impiana Koh Samui for 3 nights with 2 girl friends. Our objective for this trip was just to chill out and relax by the beach front and overall, this objective was achieved. The fact that the beach was just a stone's throw away from our hotel room, was a major plus point. The staff happily assisted us with the deck chairs and extra towels. The beach side bar was also a great place to hang out. When we didn't want to eat at the hotel's restaurants, we had the option to walk further down the beach to the several restaurants operated by friendly local Thais, serving both Thai and Western cuisine. Moreover, it was fairly easy for us to catch a cab to the town centre for the nightlife. The only major downfall was that on all 3 nights, we experienced power cuts. On the first 2 nights, it was brief (lasting only around 5-10 mins), but on the 3rd night, the power went off and on in 10 minute intervals, until it went off for more than 45 mins. It almost seemed like the hotel was trying to "save electricity" because the power cuts always occurred when most guests were out of the hotel. When we rang the front desk to complain, the staff did not seem surprised at all. She said she will inform the technician. 10 minutes later the power came back on without going off again the rest of the night. Overall, it was a good stay. But I would keep in mind the power cuts.
Beautiful beach, nice location”
We stayed 5 nights in a Superior room at Impiana. The room was about par for this style of hotel. Our room was one of the few without a balcony, which was one of the few disappointments. The hotel is beachfront to a lovely strip of coastline on which you can relax beneath palm tress and take a dip in the crystal clear waters. In this respect it is a post-card resort. On nice days you will want to get a spot on the beach early if you want one of the hotel lounges, because they're snapped up quickly. There is a different theme for dining each night, and dining on the beach was very special, even at the standard dine-in rate premium to external restaurants. Cocktails during happy hour on the beach or around the beach bar was really cool. Nice pool, if a little small and light-on for pool-side couches. The hotel has easy access to the main road on which you can catch a 'songteuw' both ways, or alternately you can take a taxi for extra cost, however the best way around the island is to hire a motor bike from one of the many outlets - at 200-300 baht a day it's really the only way to go if you are so inclined. Impiana is about 10 minutes motor bike to Chaweng and 15 minutes the other way to the south of Samui, which is full of interesting little things to see. We didn't try the spa, so no comment.
Lovely hotel, lovely beach”
We had booked a Deluxe room and requested to overlook the gardens or sea but were originally given a small (definitely not deluxe standard) room overlooking the noisy road. We explained to the lovely receptionist that we were on honeymoon and weren't happy and she showed us another bungalow room right on the beach (540) - lovely but also too small and cheaper than the room we had booked. So we stayed in it for one night as there was nothing else available and were eventually moved to room 310, a wonderful first floor corner deluxe room with fab views over the resort, pool and beach. The breakfast is very good but beware that poached eggs in Thailand are often cooked in too much vinegar! The hotel is clean and spacious and well laid out. The spa is excellent - we had a couple of really fantastic treatments and it's highly recommended. The hotel bar in the evening is almost completely deserted, and the hotel's restaurant is good but also quiet - probably because there are a few very good and cheap restaurants immediately next to Impiana Hotel right on the beach.
Great option for a beach-front holiday”
Impiana at Chaweng Noi Beach is a great choice for a beautiful beach-front location holiday. Although a little far from Chaweng Village, the beach location is perfect and it makes for a quieter stay. Excellent, friendly staff make for a very pleasant stay.
Magical”
The approach to this place is not very encouraging as you have to drive through Chaweng, which is a horrendous 2-mile narrow, crowded stretch of tacky honky-tonk bars, pizza joints, internet cafés, huckster shops and hostels, hot, dusty, noisy and full of motorbikes. But then you drive through into a quieter zone and pull up outside the impressive frontage of Impiana. A porter darts out to take your bags, you are ushered into a large cool reception area where you are warmly greeted, seated and given cold towels and a refreshing drink as you check in. You start to feel better. Then you notice that through the open other end of the hall, past palm trees and a small pool, is the beach. You wander down and find pure blue sea washing the white shore, which bends and rises to tree-covered hills. It’s a tropical paradise.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
all the staff a very friendly. i will stay again at impiana resort Chaweng Noi Koh samui
