I booked two rooms in advance for my daughters 15th birthday. Check in is at 3pm and my 2nd room wasnt cleaned and ready until 5pm. Rooms were spacious and clean. No one has floor to ceiling windows anymore but indian lakes does. Beds and pillows were exceptionally nice. Pool was awesome except it was so crowded from people just coming in off the street not staying at the hotel. And the hot tub was constantly filled with toddlers in float jackets saying help me help me they were so tiny they couldn't climb out and the parents weren't watching. Ice machine on our floor was broke. I read reviews that the continental breakfast was horrible. It was just fine. 3 cereals, yogurt, fruit, various breads, bagels, donuts, pastries, milk, orange juice and coffee. Its free. I live local and have been here many times in past. I want to see it survive. Id like to see some new carpet in the lobby and atrium and some updates. Its dated.

This was a first time stay at this hotel. We were in town for an interview & to visit relatives. This is an older Hotel but it was kept very nicely. They have an indoor pool area with a small water slide & a hot tub with waterfall. The cave bar & waterfall/pool features were really nice. Both the center area & pool had many tropical plants. There were alot of nice nooks in several places to sit, relax & visit. The workout room had several treadmills & elliptical machines.The rooms were big & comfortable & had a refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable. The pillows were nice soft. The place had a resort feel to it. The location is close to lots of restaurants, shopping & entertainment. The breakfast was a continental breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay & the prices. We would definately recommend this to a friend & would stay here next time we visit Chicago.

The hotel was very clean. The rooms were a little outdated , and smelled like a thrift store but it wasn’t unbearable . The bathroom was really nice. The view from my window was nice . The room was always really clean . I didn’t feel like I couldn’t put my bags down. If I had to come back for a party or something of that nature I would.

Free break fast with all room. We had book room without breakfast but they give as free breakfast , breakfast is normal . Downtown is one hour , Rooms are big, this hotel was Previously own by Hilton , Some room have Golf View , Comfortable bed and pillows , near to wall mart and other shops , indoor swiming pool , free parking , coffee maker in room ,

No restaurants, no gift shop, no people. It was like a ghost town. But the room was nice, and the hotel was clean although a bit dated. I also could not get an internet connection in my room for 4 days. I would reccomend because the room rate was very reasonable and hotel was clean.

Amazing value”
Pro: the place is amazingly decorated and makes you feel like you are on vacation right away. Great value in January for sure. Amazing views with large windows. Con: very minor issue but some parts could use a clean up on ceiling tiles and water damage to the tiles in atrium. Only visible if you are looking for it. Breakfast was hard to deal with as it was all carbs. I am an oddity I am sure but I couldn’t eat all the carby foods and that part of the value was them diminished.

As a family of 6, 4 little ones and with everything going on we appreciate that this place is open and the pool is available to our kids. We have been coming to this hotel for years. The staff is always kind and the place is warm and clean. So many family memories here

Nice but Confusing”
When we checked in we were not directed on where our room was so we ended up touring the area before making it to our room & the halls are very narrow and zig zag all over. Wouldn't recommend for anyone in a wheelchair! The room was nice & clean the pool area too. The pool is deeper than most at hotels so that was nice. Wear flip flops though the ground is rough; I assume to prevent falls! The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Nothing hot other than a toaster to do bread or a bagel. Overall we would stay there again if we were in the area but would leave time to go somewhere for breakfast!

Very good place to stay. Only issue is there is only 1 microwave in the hotel and all the ice machines were out if order. Pool and Bar were great

Have nothing bad to say about our stay except that we wish it couldve lastes longer, the room was nice, that faculty were very nice and helpful, it was a great time for us and we are definitely going to come back when more of the attractions are running....i.e mini golf, shiraz speak easy.

Great location for Bloomingdale/ Medinah”
We were visiting family in Medinah for the holidays. Location was great - only a couple of miles away. Lots of restaurants about a mile away as well. We never used the facilities (pool, bar, etc). But the room was clean and comfortable, and there was a quick continental breakfast in the morning which was a great way to start our day.

The only thing that bothered me was breakfast ran out of orange juice 40 minutes from the end. Also kids do not belong on hot tub period. There is a sign plus i mentioned to the staff and they didn't do anything. Can't people read 16 and older . We go to relax not step over around kids ages 3 to 12.

Yes, children under the age of 16 are prohibited from the hot tub. Although our staff does rounds in the pool area it is sometimes hard for us to manage when parents do not comply with the regulations. Good place to stay. Decent amenities. Honeycomb shaped rooms make it interesting and layout different than most hotels. Rooms a bit outdated but not bad...could use some remodeling.

It was ok until the fire Alan went off at 4am and stayed on for about 30 mins. And no one had answers or knew what to tell us. I was told we can stay in the room or come in the lobby it was up to us. Not good customer service.

The hotel is showing its age and has no services such as food, but has a casino and small bar”
The continental breakfast makes motel 8 look good. A less than 10 minute drive gets you to pretty much anything. But it would be nice to have a few more options in the hotel. Also, a way to walk around the old golf course to enjoy nice mornings and evenings.

Hello Kelly, We are happy you enjoyed your stay. The continental breakfast is complementary to guest and not a paid for service, so this limits the variety of foods offered. As a select service hotel, and not full service, we offer a work out facility, arcade area, business center, bar, indoor pool and hot tub, in which we hope you were able to enjoy these amenities. The golf course area had been sold to a developer so unfortunately, guest would not be allowed to walk on that portion of the property.
We had a great time. The pool and jacuzzi were cool and clean. The Cave bar was a cool atmosphere. ”
The architectural atmosphere was awesome. The courtyard with the cane was cool looking. The slide at the pool was fun for kids and jacuzzi was nice for adults. Complimentary breakfast was a nice finish in the morning for both kids and adults.
