    location, surrounding, homely atmosphere
awesome! When we were there it was called "Villa Areklo" and was run by the owner and manager Andre and wife. Very, very relaxed and friendly style, no fuss check in or check out, very helpful with local info, beautiful rural surrounding, just awesome! in fact we had a last minute addition to our group and Andre didn't mind and didn't charge extra. Must try this place! (Hope Andre is still running it- Greetings from Brunei!)

    Good services
Book for my friends, so far they really like the villa. The address that they gave is the Hotel address not the villa address. So the hotel people transferred my friends to the correct address. Luckily everything was fine because my friends brought along their parents and their young children.

Noisy villas but very nice staff”
    The swimming pool, the location
We stayed in ubud 2 nights with a friend, the villa is quite hard to find... I am a light sleeper and it's located next to a coq farm singing all night long so I couldn't really sleep. The staff and owner were really NICE and friendly. Asked for twin beds but they didn't have so they gave us a villa each haha, I guess we were lucky. So I totally recommend this villa if ur not a light sleeper, the staff is super friendly!

Though the place was hard to find, we enjoyed the stay here. Breakfast is simple but good and the room comfort was fine. The swimming pool does not use any chlorine, so it does not do any damage to my recently colored hair. Bathroom and Bed room is clean , and we love our stay here

It was a great experience. The location was very secluded and away from the touristy hustle and bustle of ubud which was just what we were looking for. The staff was very helpful and hardworking. We had a few issues with our room and booking but they were sorted out and we had a great stay.

The location, staff, interior and exterior of the hotel/room.
It was spectacular. we have been upgraded to the Panorama room and it was unbelievable - all glass walls around the spacious room with the view to the rice field and the stunning sunrise!! The stay at Indigo Tree was really nice: very experienced and friendly staff - it seemed nothing was too much for them. the food in the restaurant was simple but very cheap and tasty. Superb breakfast - we could order any type of eggs and pancakes, plus unlimited Balinese coffee and fresh juice. the environment so green that it seemed we stayed in the jungles. Thanks Indigo Tree! Really recommended.

    Paradise in the rice fields”
The very friendly and helpful staff, the quiet and peaceful location outside of central Ubud and the refreshing pool.
The Indigo Tree villas are a perfect haven of serenity in the middle of the rice fields north of Ubud. A free shuttle into the town centre means that you can get in to central Ubud whenever you want. The deluxe room was perfect for the two of us, and a good air-conditioning system meant we were never too hot. The pool was perfect after a long day. Nothing negative to say, just a suggestion to add some signs to the road leading up to the villas as they are very difficult to find. Best to follow signs to By Dorry for now.

    Clean, Quite, Value for Money
Indigo Tree is nice place to stay, but unfortunetly before our staying, there was a thunder around the area which was impacted to the hotel as well. We didnt get the room what we paid. The location is quite far but I like the room designed (family room). I think its value for money.

design is unique , very efficient and friendly staff perfect for relaxation
the hotel is very nice, 10 minutes drive from Ubud ( which is not a city to stay in), the shuttle service is very efficient to accomodate with the distance ( and the cafe used as a " hub" is good in case you have to wait ) we booked for the suite ( very nice duplex ) but it was not convenient with a young child so then get 2 rooms which were also very nice Staff is efficient and very friendly , in particular the driver were very attentive to our query on safety which is not that common

The room (Dolce Villa) is nice with a view of the paddy fields and a terrace looking into the gardens. It was very peaceful and they have a shuttle to Ubud with flexible time.
I was very pleasant. In spite of the negative reviews, we didn't experience any problems. The hotel is 10-15mins away from Ubud but it had a regular shuttle (8-10pm) which made it convenient for us. I like the location, it was very peaceful and i love the room (Dolce Villa).

The Indigo Tree made my stay memorable. I came here looking for some solitude after going through a rough patch of life. The staff was always here with a genuine smile to make me feel at home and well cared for and looked after. I also celebrated my 32 birthday here and while I was out for dinner they were thoughtful enough to have a surprise awaiting my return. I opened my door to find flower petals all throughout the room and bathroom shaped in hearts and it said 'happy birthday.' They made me feel so special, I highly recommend for all travelers. They also turn your room light on for you if you are out past dark. Wonderful

We really enjoy our 5 days. We enjoy the shuttle service for the first day, but we were very happy to be able to rent a bike to be more free to drive around. The hotel is situated in the middle of Rice fields! We really enjoyed that it was nice watching the people working. We spent lots of time with the workers in the fields. the town is very close, so when we needed to go shopping it was very easy. The surroundings of the hotel are so quiet and peacefull that it is a real relax. The staff is fantastic there, very helpfull and always smiling. We really enjoy our stay, may be we will go again one day !!! Who knows???

    Relaxing”
Remote location, nice rice fields, good service
It is far from busy streets, but there is a free shuttle service to ubud centre. The most difficult part is to find this hotel. The location they give on website is not the hotel itself, rather it is a point on the way to hotel. Do not count on somebody answering your call if you arrive at night (as we did). It will take about an hour to finally find the hotel from the spot shown on the map (although it is not far, just walking distance). No idea why there are no signs on the street pointing to the hotel. Location is very relaxing with rice fields right from the window. Kids were happy playing in the garden and feeding fish in the small pond. There is nothing near the hotel. A good hangout for the evening is where breakfast is served.

    Too expensive”
I like the big room that is nicely decorated, all the plans that we kept well and the breakfast
I would first like to say that this is quite a nice place to relax yourself from the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed the relaxation of the nature and the welcoming entertainment by Madeh. She was very nice and gave us a welcome drink too.The stqffs always wanted to help and was very initiative. Breakfast was great, you can eat to your fill. Negative things that we experienced: 1) Our diffixulty to find the hotel, the roads were bad and it is definately not a nice location. 2) We had a nice room but half of the time my husband was killing ants.itook a nap upon arrival only to sudeely wake up with a tiny ant stink my legs. We told the workers, they probably killed some but we were not enjoying our rest but end up killing ants on the bed and the floor, 3) The bathroom had not even a bar of soap or packet shampoo, no hotwater boiler neither tea, coffee. We did not even have water in our room ans bought some when we went out for dinner. 4) The pool was milky. Didn't feel like jumping in. 5) Owner not friendly because we were asians. 6) When we checked out, we passed a room with the beds well done, guess what we found? A group of cats laying on it. Dirty for thoae who has asthma. I regret not reading the reviews before booking. I feel the price I paid is too high. Definately not recommended for money's worth.

Architecture and design (except paintings), set up of restaurant/lobby, nature
We were positively surprised after seeing a lot of critical reviews on trip advisor, the hotel is stunning and beautifully located, though very remote. if one wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud it is perfect. The staff was very nice, the breakfast good and the sitting area comfortable, although not enough space if there were many people. The owner invited all guests for new year's eve, which was very nice. The main receptionist was really helpful in providing information and all the staff were very nice, good massages available. The pool needs more attention, especially during the rainy season, internet does not word perfectly during the rainy season, the rooms could have more lighting and I would substitute the ugly paintings for black and white photographs or local art. There is no mosquito infestation, as someone wrote, and the bednets are maybe the best we have seen in any hotel. Highly recommendable if you know what you want.
