Satisfactory hotel with good location”
Located near Vatican City (5-8 minutes walk) and Ottaviano Metro Station (3-5 minutes walk). No room service, business center, lounge, gym, and pool. Breakfast doesn’t have much variety but that is to be expected in most of the hotels in Europe. 80% of the staff are Filipinos which makes the customer service above average.
Perfect location for visiting Vatican City”
Near Metro, near Vatican City. However, only stairs from Metro to ground level.
nice clean cosy hotel. value for money and near to train. convenience store near hotel is very good. love the interior decor of the room whicih is dark but cosy.
close to vatican city”
good location. hotel breakfast was ok. rooms were ok however there was a missing tile in the bathroom which exposed the plumming and pipes of the bathroom. i asked the hotel to fix it and they agreed but did not do anything about it.
The hotel name lived up to it!”
It was a wonderful experience at Excel St. Peter Hotel. Conveniently located near the Vatican, and restaurants and shops. It truly was a great experience and the staff were def attentive and helpful. THANK YOU so much for providing a comfort home for us while touring Italy esp. with a little 11 month old.
Great hotel good location”
Nice service apartment rather than a hotel”
The counter staff were extremely friendly and can speak very good English. They gave plenty of suggestions and even check on the Internet to ensure the info they gave was up to date (we went during summer vacation and many places are close) They even printed our tour booking free of charge (while other hotels will make us use the business centre and charge print per page). This is one of the best service we receive during out trip in Europe. The only problem we had was to locate the hotel. If u book tho hotel please look out for the unit number, we drag our luggages up and down that street a few time before we found it.
Comfortable and convenient ”
The hotel is clean and the photos here are representative of what it actually looks like. Based on the reviews here, i requested for a room with a large window which we were given. However, it faces a common area within the building - so don't expect great views. Breakfast is sufficiently good. Hotel is walking distance to vatican city, but further from the shopping and other sights in Rome. The metro is easy to navigate though, so it wasn't an issue for us. There are a few good restaurants around the area too - Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
Hotel with great location”
Great location and nice staff”
The hotel was good, in a great location, with very nice staff and a great breakfast. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no window in the bedroom. I mean there was one but it was very, very high and we couldn't see the street.
We had a great staying here,”
We had a great staying here, it's nice and value for money.
Everything is just nice”
Hotel comes with free wifi. Room is clean and staffs been helpful throughout our stay. It's just a few minutes walk to both the metro station and vatican city. Some mini markets and plenty of restaurants nearby too.
Very good location, but the place is not really a hotel, but one floor of rooms in an apartment building. Room was without a proper window, only skylight. The smell in the room was very bad, we did not discover the cause. The design was nice. Breakfast was ok, but served also in a small room without window.
Close to a lot and friendly staff”
I stayed here with my boyfriend for 4 days and it was lovely. Close to a lot of lovely lunch places and close to the metro. The vatican was very close by. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was a small but nice selection of cereals, toast, pastries, ham, cheese and cakes. Internet was easy to use.
Great location and friendly people”
All the staff here were lovely and very helpful when needed. Breakfast was a nice small selection with pastries, cereals, ham, cheese and cakes. Great location if you want to be near the Vatican with some nice restaurants close by for lunch and dinner.
Small, but stylish and friendly hotel”
Perfect for even short trips to Rom. No public transportation needed to visit lots of places for sightseeing. Easy to reach vatican city in the morning before the crouds are there. Good breakfast. Unique, very fine style of interiour.
Lovely hotel near St. Peter”
Our 5-day stay at this hotel was very pleseant. We enjoyed our breakfast (6.30am-10.30am) with the nice 'breakfast-lady' every morning, there was enough choice (cereal, yoghurt, milk, different pies, nice pastries, salami, mozzerella, rucola, ham, cheese, juices, coffee, tea etc). It felt like a very relaxt hotel and they always had time for us since it's such a small hotel with only 24 rooms as I was told (just 1 floor with rooms). It was very pleseant to walk in the city all day, and get back to refresh yourself before dinner or take a quick nap, and then get back to the citycenter (which is only 3 metrostops away from the hotel) or have dinner in the neighberhood somewhere around the vatican. The only thing that could be mentioned was that our 'showerhead-holder' was broken, I mentioned this upon arrivel, and mentioned it several times after that but they never fixed it during our stay. The did wrote it down but the 'handyman' was probably very busy. It didnt bother us as much though, but it wouldh've been nice to have that fixed. Other than that we had a great stay there, and would definately go back to the hotel!
Quiet hotel near Vatican”
This is a quiet hotel near Vatican. The rooms are clean but the view from our room was horrible. This is the reason why we kept our curtains closed all the time. The breakfast needs to be improved with a small choice and artificial juices.
