A Wonderful Escape from the Chaos”

The food, our room, and the staff. All phenomenal.

I actually can't remember having a more pleasant hotel experience. After over 24 hours of travel from Chicago to Bangkok, my wife and I arrived at Inn A Day just after midnight and were greeted sweetly by a young man with two delicious lemon ice teas at the ready. He then showed us to our charmingly beautiful room at the top of the building, up three and a half flights of stairs, which was the only semi-challenging thing we encountered and we certainly didn't mind. Our room had a super comfortable and firm king size bed that felt very much like our bed at home, a generous size wooden bath tub that had a view across the canal overlooking the Temple of the Dawn, and a private balcony. The very tasteful decor is a blend of contemporary, rustic, and European. Their Thai food is outstanding as well as their coffee. The staff is sweet, friendly, and really goes out of their way to tend to their guests. My wife and I had such a special experience at this place, we were heartbroken and wanted to cry when it was time to leave! For all of the chaos that happens when you are in Bangkok, Inn A Day was the perfect escape and retreat. This is a truly exceptional hotel experience and would be the first place we would recommend to anyone that comes to Bangkok. We hope they do well for a very long time long time, and for selfish reasons, hope that it remains the best kept secret in Bangkok.

Loving it, no doubt”

Inn A Day is superb. It wasn't a good for me and my wife that day we stayed in Inn a Day. We had dinner somewhere else (some restaurant in Asiatique) and we both got food poisoning. We had emesis and diarrh badly that night, and we had a flight to catch the next day. In a moment we felt so lonelyness and hopeless. Luckily it's Inn A Day. The night watch boy firstly gave us Actived Cabon capsule and salt to ease our symptom, and helped us got a taxi in about 2am in the morning that drove us to the closest international clinic; the boss uncle helped to cook congee with salted egg the next morning, the other fellows in the inn looks after us well before we left in afternoon, they also helped to arrange transportation from the inn to airport. I don't think we can put that day through without them. Besides the crew, the room is so characteristic, even the room we stayed in can't see the river view, but the roof balcony offset that. Even though the floorboard is pure wood that makes it a bit noisy when somebody is waking in floor above, but it doesn't bother me at all. This inn, and the staffs are one of the reason I felt in love with this country, a big one among them. I'd choose this inn again the next travel to Bangkok, for sure.

The Most Stylish Boutique Hotel in Bangkok”

1: The creativity and style of the rooms. 2: The prime location near the Royal Palace. 3: The extra-friendly and helpful staff.

The Inn A Day is a hidden treasure in Bangkok. I say hidden because it's down a small side street that looks otherwise industrial. But once you're there you'll have discovered one of the most delightful hotels you've stayed in anywhere. It's a converted warehouse that they've converted in a style that pays homage to its industrial past. I could go on and on, but just go to their website for the full story and pics. The riverside location is great, and even if you don't have a river view room, there's a 4th floor open deck where you can while away a couple hours enjoying the spectacular view. Two brothers run this place. Everyone's English is pretty good, but in particular the one brother who learned it as an exchange student in Oklahoma. The location is perfect. Directly down the street is the Wat Pho temple, which is adjacent to the Royal Palace. No taxi required. If you're looking for something unique, take a right and stroll the night flower market. Bonus points: Their restaurant is also excellent.

BEST BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN BANGKOK!!!”

Service and Service and Service..Food is great and so is the location!!!

I am a world traveler and have been to many hotels and Inn A Day is one of the best stays I have ever had, the service is top notch. The hotel is run by a local family (Mom/Dad/3 Sons). All of the family members are wonderful and even the grandma comes over to have lunch everyday. The best asset the hotel has is Noon who runs the front desk and is a sweetheart. You are one of 11 rooms so you get the personalized attention from the staff. Upon arrival you get a welcome drink and they go over all of the attractions and they print stuff out for you, research and even hand draw detailed maps for you. Everyday they ask you what you want to do and they help. One example of kindness is that I had them book Bangkok Food Tours (which I highly recommend) Noon offered to just put the cost on my room bill so I would not have to do anything. When I checked out she actually put the cost on her own credit card. Another example was for the food tour we needed to be at the tour at 8pm and we arrived to the hotel at 715pm. The oldest son said Sir we were getting worried you are only going to make the tour if you do this. Please drop your stuff here we will put it in your room and one of our housekeeping is going to RUN you to the last boat taxi so you make it. He had all of our stuff printed out and a map done telling us how to get there via boat and sky train. The last act is I bought a large statue and where I bought it they put in a box and I thought I could fit in my luggage but it was too big. I took it down and the MOM repacked it and made a special handle for me to carry it on. The food is really good. My wife and I liked the cashew chicken for lunch. The breakfast you pre-order you either get Thai or American. Both were great and you get unlimited fancy coffee and cocoa drinks. The location is great. It is near What Po (100 yards) and the Grand Palace 5 min walk. It is a 3 min walk to the boat taxi. Has a beautiful view of the river from most rooms.

Perfect in so many little ways. ”

The tasteful design, the incredible view and the wonderful hotel family owners.

I adored this tiny little converted shop house hotel. Everything was well thought out, the details of the hotel were charming and the relaxed, laid back atmosphere is exactly what I look for in a boutique hotel. I especially loved the honor system they had in place: Beers and snacks were there for you to grab without having to fuss or bother anyone -- you just had to drop money in a jar. I really really hope no one abuses this system, because such open trust is hard to find nowadays. The family that owns and operates this hotel are hard workers and take pride in their establishment and go through lengths to make sure you are comfortable and have all the things you need. The food here is also terrific. Get the Asian breakfast! I have raved about this place to all of my friends. I definitely will go back to stay at Inn A Day when I need another 'staycation' in Bangkok and will even go there just for the restaurant --- the place is just so lovely. And the location in Old Bangkok around all the temples and right on the water is fantastic. Check this place out. You won't be sorry.

an overwhelming, heart-stopping home...”

inn a day is more than just a boutique hotel, it's more like a HOME to us, the staffs there are so accommodating and so friendly, they will help you in any questions you have or inquiries, they will give you every detail of your inquiries and suggests some alternatives to it as well, and for the room, you will feel relaxed every time you enter it, very unique theme in every room, that you will surely enjoy, the rooms are always clean, have fresh linens and towels everyday. the food is exquisite, you will crave for more, the location itself is a winner to everyone who wants to visit the main attractions in Bangkok, very near and very safe, but the most important of all is the picturesque view from our room and the warm-hearted owners and staffs that will make you feel like a family than a guest. i will recommend it to all of you to stay and experience the most unforgettable stay you will have there.

Loved our stay in this funky, well located hotel”

Staff, Rooms, Location

I recently brought friends from the US and we stayed at Inn a Day for two wonderful nights. We booked 4:00 suite, as it was the only room available, and were delighted. The hotel is a riverside, converted palm sugar factory, and the 2 suites on the top floor (walkup, be warned) are 2-level, industrial chic lofts with direct views of the Temple of Dawn and wonderful balconies. Families can fit into these rooms, which are tasteful, modern and a great case in adaptive re-use design. The staff, especially 'Golf' is a family, and are absolutely phenomenal. Helpful, cheerful, great english, they go above and beyond always, with any request. Steps from Pho Wat, the Grand Palace and 5 minutes from a major boat and water taxi pier we loved every minute. Only complaints are: bathroom lighting could use some help. In room coffee service could be improved with more selections, or a coffee machine rather than hot water pot. The only other consideration is access to MTR and Skytrain, which is difficult from this location. We traveled by water and road taxi, and didn't have many problems, but the area does not connect at all to the subway and Skytrain, and if traffick is bad it can take an hour to get to the central area. I would absolutely stay here again.

Best Hotel - Ever!”

Phenomenal Hospitality, Stunning Views, Unique Design Concept

Our 3 day stay at Inn A Day was absolutely fantastic! This was the best hotel experience in my many years of globetrotting. This family takes Thai hospitality to the next level of excellence. The hotel's design concept is one of a kind - modern, yet relaxing and warm. It creates a sense of home away from home. The views of the river and temple are spectacular. This place is a true gem. Don't miss an opportunity to stay here if you are in Bangkok.

Amzing views and amazing staff”

What a wonderful find this place was! The views of Wat Arun from our room were stunning. The place is family run and the staff are lovely and attentive and very helpful. The place is a small boutique hotel, that stands head and shoulders above some of the generic Bangkok hotels in the same price range in terms of charm, comfort and friendliness. The asian breakfast option was different each day and very tasty. We will happily return and would recommend for travellers looking for a personal Thai style stay in Bangkok.

Funky little hotel in great location”

Best 3 things: riverside location, great food, helpful staff

Inn a Day is a wonderful converted coconut sugar factory with a clever industrial feel including a reception counter made of tins filled with coconut sugar. Stunning views out the bedroom window of Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) across the river. Our room was themed “Tailor” and was the 3 pm room. It came complete with Dressmaker dummy lamps and metal cut-out “patterns” on walls. Comfy bed. Fabulous breakfasts (all meals were great) and excellent coffee too. Very close to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho with the Reclining Buddha. The tiny balcony off our room was wide enough for a breakfast bar and stools and was a great place to sit with a gin and tonic watching the river traffic go by at night including the many, many, many dinner cruises popular with locals. The very friendly staff helped us to organise tours and navigate our way around. We also enjoyed using the river boats to get to Saphin Taxin to connect with the skytrain.

Beautiful boutique hotel with great service”

In all our travels, this hotel is one of my favourites. Due to the very few rooms in the hotel, it made it feel ultra peacful. The restaurant was excellent -- definitely recommend the Thai-style breakfast, it was delicious. The decor was beautiful and focused on highlighting the history of the building. The rooftop balcony and top-floor common areas were the hidden gems of the hotel. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and extremely clean. Oh, and their Thai iced tea is a treat after a day around the city. We will definitely be back if we ever visit Bangkok again, to this beautiful boutique hotel!

Perfect Stay in Most Central Location Possible”

The room (10am) exceeded our expectations and the hotel balcony was a lovely location to watch the sunset behind the spectacular Wat Arun. The bed and sheets were incredible comfy and the decor was as unique as advertised. The only issue we had was with mosquitos in our room but I suspect that just comes with the territory of a Bangkok waterside hotel. A family-run hotel, the service and professionalism was outstanding. The staff routinely gave useful advice and called an early morning taxi for us on our date of departure-they even packed us to-go sandwiches! I already know that I will stay here again when I return to Bangkok.

The best hospitality I've ever experienced”

I can't recommend this place enough. The location is walkable to all the must-see temples and the Grand Palace, it's right on the river, and there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and rooftop bars nearby (sadly no cheap or divey bars..). The hotel itself is well thought out, clean, quiet and fun. The free breakfast is made-to-order and plentiful. But the best part was the staff- they were super helpful and sincerely felt like they were looking out for us. It was our first time in Bangkok, and they went above and beyond to help us find our way around, meet up with our tour drivers, and just generally get around. My only "con" for this place was when we moved from an river view room to the other side of the hotel due to a booking issue. The river view room is freaking amazing, but I'm not sure the rooms without a view are worth the price.

Never a dull moment ”

Spectacular river setting, chic design, warm hospitality

There's no better time and place to celebrate the New Year if you're the type who prefers much lesser crowd, Inn a Day takes my breath away with stunning Temple of Dawn's illumination on the River of King. From Morning til Dusk, each room offers its unique style with creativity and tasteful furnishings. The area is known for the grandeur in all its glory "Wat Pho" which houses the biggest Reclining Buddha covered in gold, dazzling iconic landmark "Grand Palace", the flower market, museum/gallery, bistros/cafes or even just a simple yet delicious crispy roti on the sidewalk. I wish to thank the owners and their sons (Ten / Golf / Ball) for providing a memorable stay to ring in the New Year 2015 with joy and happiness

Lovely boutique hotel with an amazing view”

View, staff, breakfast

Loved Inn A Day the moment I stepped in it. Was greeted with a welcome drink and very friendly and helpful staff. The decor, although industrial-like, is very cosy, and every corner was intriguing. The rooms are all themed and my room (2 pm) had a fantastic view of Wat Arun, loved how the temple looked during different times of the day. Breakfast was delicious (and substantial) at Jin Chieng Seng. Enjoyed myself immensely!

Exciting Concept, Fantastic Management Team, Wat Arun Light Up

Inn A Day has taken a part of Thai history, one with a great riverside location and breathed new life into it! It is both warm and classy. Everyone should complete their Thai experience with a stay at Inn A Day.
