Fantastic Location and Value”

This is without a doubt the best Value you will get near Wangfujing street in Beijing. The rooms were comfortable, if you require an additional bed for guests on your stay maybe bring an air mattress as we did to put onto it as the cot provided was extremely firm. The hotel is right next to the Dongdan Transfer subway station which is incredibly useful(signs and ticket booths are in English) as it can take you dirrctly to Tianimen Square/Forbidden City, Silk Market, or Pearl Market within a couple of stops with no need to transfer and one way passes being 3 Yuan (about $0.50 USD) If I ever visit Beijing again I will stay at the Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel again without a second thought.

Our stay at Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel was good.”

My mom wanted an accommodation of convenience so she asked me to find a hotel with average prices that would not require too much transportation to places of interest. I found Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel through Agoda. Here are points to consider before booking this hotel: If booking through hotel discount websites, lowest price for 1 night per room is around P1,800/person (without breakfast) and around P2,500/person (with breakfast). Dongdan Station Exit G is just a minute walk away from the front of the hotel. From this station, almost all popular Beijing tourist attractions can be reached just by using the subways. A Family Mart convenience store is located at the back of the hotel. Check-in is at 3:00PM and the latest check-out is 1:00PM. During check-in, a RMB500 (P3,575+) deposit will be asked from you. This will be returned during check-out. If you wish to extend your stay, they provide half day rates until 6PM and will be deducted from the deposit. Breakfast is served buffet style with a variety of choices – Chinese, Western, & Mongolian. You’ll feel like you’re having a buffet for lunch or dinner. Even though there are a lot to choose from, there are hits and misses with the taste of the selections. The rooms are clean and each day, all amenities are replaced or restocked. The bedroom is very clean but if you look closely at the interiors of the bathroom, there are a few rusts and molds but this can be overlooked because the overall feel was tidy. Most of the staff only know a handful of English words and will refer you to other employees who speak more English if they do not understand you. Wangfujing Street is only a 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. There are so many restaurants and malls there where you can eat and shop. The Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square is around a 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel. It is an easy straight walk. You’ll know when you reach the Forbidden City when you see tourists lined up for the security check. This is one of the

Great location, excellent service”

location, location

I am happy I chose this hotel based on the reviews I read. Great location: close to the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven; it's near Wangfujing St. and the Oriental Malls, where you can find food of all sorts and prices; the Dongdan subway station is on the corner, and if you are adventurous, you can get anywhere in Beijing by only 2 RMB;or you can take a taxi (inexpensive). The room was clean, comfortable and had a safe box (important for me). I liked very much the possibility of ordering food late in the evening (9:30 pm - 6 am), which was very convenient when you are hungry and everything is closed,or simply do not want to walk. The prices are affordable. Most importantly, people were very helpful, especially the concierge guys. Most of them speak English and helped me do reservations for the Peking opera and wrote in Mandarin the addresses of the places I wanted to go, so that the taxi driver would know exactly where I wanted to go. I had to go to Shanghai for a week and did not want to carry a big suitcase with me, so I left it in the storage room, especially because I returned to the same hotel later. I would strongly recommend this hotel to people who want to be close to the main tourist sights and also for people who like to feel good at a cozy place for a nice price.

Solid 4 Star Hotel”

English Speaking, Good Location, Friendly Staff, Good Amenities

The Inner Mongolia Grand Hotel Wangfujing was one of the 4 hotels i stayed at while on my trip to China. I read many reviews and looked at similar price hotels and i think this is one of the best value for your money hotels in Beijing. You are centrally located and only about 15-20min away from sites such as The Forbidden city and Tiananmen square. The subway and train station are in walking distance which also is a plus. A few cons for the hotel or at least in my opinion are at this hotel there are no channels in english so watching tv is not really an option and i wouldnt of marked it down but since the 3 other hotels some not as nice had English speaking channels it is something to mention. Also they had an east meets west buffet was rather expensive and for the money you pay just was not worth it in my opinion. All and all a good hotel and is very good minus a few nit picky items.

Very comfortable hotel in prime location”

Location, friendly and helpful staff, good internet

We stayed here for a week in the summer. The deluxe room was very big, with desk and comfortable seating area. For China, the room had really fast internet. Breakfast (included in the price) was fine and had plenty of choice. We also tried dinner in the Chinese restaurant – very good. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful and arranged our Great Wall trip for us. The location is perfect. Metro stop just outside, and the hotel is in easy walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (with Jing Shan Park just behind), Wangfujing Street, and the excellent Beijing Dadong duck restaurant. The surrounding streets also had some great local, cheap eateries. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Nice Hotel, Comfortable Bed”

Convenient Location, Good Buffet Breakfast, Coffee machine with fresh coffee beans

Book 5 rooms for 5 nights for our group of 9 from Agoda which include free breakfast. Check-in was fuss free and was given room’s base on our request. Buffet breakfast spreads consist of Western, Chinese and some Mongolian food. Soft and comfortable bed and not hard bed as provided in most China hotel. 2 nos of buckwheat pillow were provided in the room closet and you can request for a different type to try or suit your liking. (Types – Buckwheat with lavender, chrysthanamum) Surprise birthday cakes were left in the room for one of us on his birthday and it taste good. Location was convenient as it is very near to Dongdan station which is an interchange for subway Line 1 and 5. From hotel, walk in the opposite direction from Dongdan for 10 mins you will reach Chongwenmen station which is an interchange for subway Line 2 and 5. There are two shopping centres (New World and Glory Mall) with supermarket and food options Places of interests and shopping area are reachable by subway i.e Temple of heaven, Forbidden City, Lama Temple, Bell tower, Beijing zoo, Silk market, HongQiao pearl market etc Thanks to Agoda and customer review, overall excellent hotel which is quite new and value for money.

Location, Bed, Shower

The hotel is located just next to 东单 DongDan MRT Station (Line 5 & Line 1) and also within distance of the railway station; although I have not taken the railway. It's very convenient to walk to famous 王府井 Wangfujin street,天安门 TianAnMen and 故宫 Forbidden City. If the room is facing the street, you will have a nice overview of Beijing city sight cos there is no tall buildings blocking. It's just opposite a park!!! The bed is just the right hard/soft ness and quite comfortable to sleep in, they have a wide range of pillows to choose from for different requirements. The shower is quite comfortable with strong water pressure and big enough to feel comfortable. The only down-side is the carpet is slightly stained and suggest you dont walk barefoot as the feeling aint that comfortable. Other than that, the hotel is quite good for its price and star range. It's comparable to some 5 stars hotel though.

it was the second time to stay in this hotel, and again i was very satisfied. the rooms are clean, the fitness facilities are great. i did not visit the restaurants as we used the food court in oriental plaza which is 10 minutes walking. the dongdan subway station is 5 only minutes walking from the hotel and offers a good connection to the airport express (only 4 stops), as well as all main tourist attractions. tian-an men is only 2 stops, and wangfujing can be reached via the nearby oriental plaza. inner mongolia will be my default hotel for staying in beijing.

Upscale lodging ”

As a newcomer to China, I knew very little about inner Mongolia. This hotel provided a great deal of information that makes me want to go there. the staff was friendly and quite helpful and the breakfast was great . My wife and I slept well on a comfortable king sized bed. While many staff were not English speakers they usually found someone who could help. The subway stop was close as well as shopping for food and clothing.

Thanks a lot for your praise to the room, facility and breakfast of our hotel. For the English level of some staff, we will provide more training and practice to improve it. Hope that you will recommend our hotel to your family members and friends.

Friendly hotel with great location”

English speaking and friendly staff; walking distant to Wangfujing

i enjoyed staying there with my family. though it's a bit difficult to get taxi from that area however, the hotel is near mrt, bus stop and shopping district. taxi booking can be arranged from the hotel concierge with slight surcharge. the room is comfortable and room service food is quite good. i certainly will choose to stay at this hotel again in my next visit. keep up the good friendly service inner mongolia hotel!

One the best values in central Beijing”

Of all the 4 hotels we stayed at for this trip, this was the cheapest by a noticeable margin, but by far the best value. Excellent and plentiful breakfast buffet, friendly staff overall-especially if you speak Chinese, very clean and modern room and facilities, next to a subway station on one of the major lines, minutes away from several must-see tourist destinations in Beijing incl. the Forbidden Palace, Wangfujing St., the Temple of Heaven, Qianmen St., and Tiananmen Square. What more can you ask for?! We will definitely put this hotel at the top of our list for next visit.

Great location, nice rooms and fantastic service”

The hotel is new and was built only one year ago. Unlike some places that are not well-maintained, Inner Mongolia Hotel did an excellent job in their furnishing and in maintaining the place. The location was fantastic as well. I also received extremely good service when I was there.

Inner Mongolia Hotel had a fantastic location that as within walking distance to Wang Fu Jing and even Tiananmen (about 15 minutes). Located in close proximity to two MRT lines, it was also extremely easy to get to other tourist attractions. The thing that struck me most was the nice and well-maintained furnishings in the hotel lobby and the rooms as I had previously heard that maintainance was an issue for hotels in China. While the hotel loses out to the si he yuans (traditional chinese housing) in terms of charm, it more than makes up for this with its clean and comfortable setting. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends!

Beautiful Hotel with a Great Location”

Excellent customer service, Rooms are of descent size, Good Location

There were some problems in getting to the hotel because some of the taxi drivers didn't know where it was. The traffic around the hotel is not too great either, very busy 24/7. However when it comes to shopping the malls and the street markets are very close by so you can just walk it there. The Forbidden City and Tian Na Men Square was only 2 train stops away and there was a train station close by to the hotel. There are also a couple of restaurants around the hotel as well as street food right behind the hotel. Inside the hotel was absolutely beautiful with the decorations and everything. The rooms were of a good size and there was everything in there. Hairdryer, free lan internet, mini bar etc. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely come back again!

Great hotel for the price”

Really enjoyed our time at the Grand Inner Mongolia. Convenient jumping off point for visiting Beijing, the rooms were fairly appointed, and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Extended stay”

Location and cleanliness

We stayed 9 nights in Beijing, booked 5 nights with Inner Mongolia as we thought we might find a better Hotel when we get there but we ended up booking another 4 nights because the hotel is simply too comfortable and location is great. It's slightly away from the noisy Wangfujing crowd so we can have peace and not compromising with convenience.

Value for money, very comfortable stays”

Comfortable bed, good shower, clean

Very comfortable bed, large rooms and grand hotel lobby, short walking distance to MTR station and some shopping malls. Wangfujing street is very nearby by 10 to 15 minutes walk. Prepare a wifi router of your own as they provide the lan cable for laptop used in room but no wifi in room. Or you can purchase it from handphone shop near Wangfujing street.
