Hotel is located in Zaandam not Amsterdam Centraal”
This property is the best mistake I have ever made. I have foolishly assumed its the same Inntel Hotel in Amsterdam Centraal and only to discover they're not the same after a 500m walk with my huge bags from Amsterdam CS... 'Zaandam' station can be easily reached via Metro (10mins) and the Return tix for 2nd class travel is about Eur6/per person per day. Avoid First class tix as they are really just about the same as 2nd class but you may do so for try sake. Its double the cost of 2nd class. . . as we did not book the room with breakfast, the hotel offered eur10/per person. Its actually a good deal if ure a big eater as we eat breakfast outside mostly and the cost sums up to approx eur13/per person. Zaandam is a fantastic area with lots of shops and the stuffs are so much cheaper than those in Amsterdam centraal. I highly recommend all to stay in this property. save money, near city, metro operates until 1am. its perfect. and direct metro line (30mins max to Schiphol Airport).
Lovely hotel with super easy access to Centrum”
It was a lovely hotel. Although located at a small city called Zaandam, it's with easy 20 mins train straight to Amsterdam Centraal. It costs €2.50 per way and Zaandam station is right next to the hotel. From same station, it takes 20mins straight to Schiphol airport for €4.90 per way. Hotel is next to various high street brand shops and restaurants. Exterior is traditional style but with modern and contemporary interior. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. Wifi access is complimentary everywhere in the hotel albeit rather slow in the rooms, works fine in the corridors and lobby. Overall, if you don't mind the very easy transfer to Amsterdam Centrum everyday then it's definitely the best hotel in the outskirt of Amsterdam. Tip: Schedule half a day for Zaanse Schans windmills which are only 15 mins by bus 68 straight, €2.50 per way. On the way back to hotel, walk to train station Koog-Zaandijk back (2 stops) to Zaandam. From Amsterdam Centraal, it's probably about 30 mins ride. Aside from windmills, there're shops, restaurants, b&b, museums, cheese making workshop etc. it's lovely and worth visiting. Suitable for families with kids too.
Surprise hotel, alive for money, take the upgrade, it was awesome.”
Zaandam is a beautiful suburb outside of Amsterdam; however, I t's situated just seconds away from the train station, so don't let this be off putting for you. At an amazing €6.00 pp to travel into Amsterdam, this isn't a problem and the hotel stay in itself it worth every penny and extra mile outside of the main city for those looking for a quite spot, away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel staff will go the extra mile to help with any issue and as we took the upgrade, we found ourselves luxuriating in a room with a self contained sauna, whirlpool bath, rainshower and all the modcons you'd expect in a upstarred hotel. It has a brilliant spa, however we found the swimming pool was a tad cold, presumably set cooler to constrast with the sauna and Turkish steam bath. Mind you it did the job of taking the heat out of my somewhat over baked shoulders from the sun! The food was excellent, although we would have liked to have seen the menu change from day to day, and like all food in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, it is relatively expensive, so be prepared to dig deep into your pocket! Overall a brilliant stay, totally enjoyed and absolutely recommended for couples who want a break!
will definitely be back!”
Just wrote a full length review but somehow i was automatically signed off while submitting? This is not the first time it's happening, Agoda really gotta do something about it. Anyway, back to the review: We almost cancelled our booking since the location seems to be quite away from the Central area. So glad we didn't follow through since this hotel turns out to be one of our favorite stay in Europe! First, the location. Compared to the busy (and messy) Amsterdam Central, Zaandam has a more laid back ambiance which we loved. The hotel is right beside the train station and shopping street. All the usual brand can be found here. We booked a room without breakfast, but there are many deli/cafe nearby that it's never a problem. When you do want to go to the Central, it is only 2 stops away. Granted you can't use the GVB pass, but it's still very easy and convenient. The building itself very interesting, almost like a doll house, which is why we booked this in the first place. The room is spacious and comfortable, with all the usual collaterals provided. The window can't be opened in full, presumably for safety reason. But since we were there during winter, it is not a problem. The staff are very helpful, although they are not always available at the reception desk. Sometimes you just have to wait a bit. Overall, would definitely recommend to everyone!
The most interesting hotel I've ever stayed!”
This hotel looks like a lego house from the outlook, inside is stylish and well-equipped with all sorts of facilities. Wifi is available without any charge. The staff are helpful to provide all tourist information that we required. The hotel is at a very convenient location, only 2 train stops from the Schiphol Airport and also close to the Amsterdam city centre. It is at the district of Zaandam, at a proximity to the windmill village Zaanse Schans. But I think staying away from Amsterdam Central incurs more travelling expenses as the train fare in Amsterdam is fairly expensive (not advisable to buy day travel ticket), so it costs at least 10 euro to commute from this hotel to any other places per day. I and my friend had a lovely stay in Inntel Hotels and it is definitely our first choice if we are coming back to visit Amsterdam next time!
Perfect to visit Amsterdam”
Hotel is next to Zaandam station. Zaandam is lovely and only 3 stops/25 mins from Schipol Airport train station to door of hotel. Zaandam station is 12 mins from Amsterdam centraal, and trains are regular. Hotel is amazing, and with the spa thrown in, its getting a top end hotel for a little bit more than an Ibis/Easy hotel. Breakfast would have been 12.50 each, but there is a pastries/cafe 50 feet away, and a supermaket 100m away selling cheap drinks pastries etc . will come back again to Amsterdam and definately back to this hotel.
Lovely hotel in Zaandam, easy 20mins to Amsterdam”

One of the best hotel I have even been!!”
We really enjoyed the hotel. The location was just perfect. It was about 3-4 minutes walk to the train station. The whole Zaandam is new and developing area. It looks like it was a little Legoland. The hotel staffs are really really nice. They are very helpful as well. The breakfast buffet was 10 Euros per person. It was international breakfast with warm and cold food. The hotel doesn't have a parking garage but you can park next to the shopping center for 15 Euros for 24 hours. Make sure you show your parking ticket when you check out. It normally costs 19 Euros but hotel guests pay 15 Euros. It takes only 3 minutes to go to the car park. The hotel has a little swimming pool and a sauna. We didn't get to do it but I did check out how this looks. It looks fantastic and you should try it out. Also the hotel has a bar and we didn't want to stay in the Amsterdam city too late so we had a couple of local Dutch beers and the bar staffs are friendly as well. It's a design modern hotel. The room is clean, I like the soft bed, blanket and pillow. We will definitely come back here to this hotel.
Great stay, but not Central”
Great hotel, extremely helpful staff. The hotel is situated a minutes walk from the train station and tickets to Amsterdam central cost 3.60 each way. Trains are frequent throughout the day, then every 30 mins at night. Last train from Ams to Zaandam was at 1:48am over the weekend. So, not convenient if you want to be out late, but if you are used to a London commute absolutely fine, but be aware - Zaandam in another town 2 stops away from Amsterdam and the journey time is about 15 minutes.
Nice hotel! Recommended!”
My friend and I love this hotel so much. It looks cute. It is convenient (just 2 stations from Amsterdam central, around 20 mins). It is right next to the Zaandam station. The room we stayed is big. Three single beds for two people! The toilet is clean and big. The breakfast is quite expensive for us (Euro17) so we ate nearby. There are a few cafes next to the hotel which are more valued. It is easy for us to travel around too. Primark is just next to the hotel. No need to shop at Amsterdam central for it!!!
Best stay in Amsterdam!”
This hotel is gorgeous - exactly as shown in photos. It is situated right next to Zaandam station so very easy to get around or out to the city centre. Zaandam has a nice village feel with excellent cafes right next door to the hotel. We loved this place so much, we came back to Amsterdam a second time on ur European adventure and stayed here again!
Love the architecture. All staffs are nice. Comfy bed. 2 stops from city..appx +/- 15 min easy access. Nothing much near the hotel accept Primark, supermaket, and few local markets. Booked 2 rooms, meanwhile the other room, the bed not as comfy as mine. Fyi all hotels in Ams will charge u more tax around 7% per person per day. Thanks Inntell Zaandam.
The location of this hotel is amazing. Just a few meters from the train station that can take you to the airport and Amsterdam Central. Zaandam is like a small town with all the things you need, i.e. store and restaurants. The breakfast they served is very good, several options. The hotel was clean and the room I got was well ventilated. I just do have a concern with the staff. There were many of them who were helpful, but there were a couple (those who checked me in) who were not very helpful. I booked a room with a double sized bed with Agoda, I was told that I booked a room with two single beds. This resulted to being downgraded to a smaller room with a double bed. I didn't complain about the downgrade because I preferred a double bed. To keep it short I guess some staff members just need to be consistent with their hospitality skills. Majority of the staff were very courteous and helpful. Even with that minor hiccup, I will still book my stay at this hotel in the future.
Excellent Hotel in a Different Side to Amsterdam”
This excellent hotel is located in a new zone, Zaandam, on the northern shores of Amsterdam. Being completely different and modernly laid out, it presents an entirely different feeling compared to the traditional city centre of the Main Station / Dam Square area. Zaandam is a spacious, good and convenient and this hotel enjoys a hip and fashionable air.
It is 2 stops from Amsterdam centraal 12mins trip to Inntel. Superb surrounding, shopping eateries., and view from the hotel. Room was quite spacious too with nice flooring. Will return to Inntel for my next trip to Amsterdam.
Cool hotel right next to the train station”
If you are visiting Amsterday but looking for a cheaper place while getting a bigger room - I highly recommend you consider this hotel. Zaandam is only 10 mins away by train from Amsterdam Centraal. You can use this place as a base while traveling around. The staff are also friendly and very helpful. We were happy with our stay
Charming hotel in Zaandam”
We stayed two nights at Innetel in Zaandam and were pleasantly surprised! Very professional staff at the reception, such nicelooking and different style of the hotel and - best of all - our bedroom had a small sauna. So nice after a cool day outside. Perfect location just a couple of minutes from the train station where you easily could go into Amsterdam in just about 10 minutes. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel as well. We would definitely go back!
Our stay was really good, we enjoy staying at the inntel hotel, just across from train station and about 15 minutes to amsterdam city, room was always perfect after a day out, fully recomended....
Wonderful, unique hotel”
The hotel architecture is what made us want to stay here. The staff made our trip delightful as they were very helpful and accommodating. Little did we know the train station is directly behind the hotel which made traveling into Amsterdam and just beyond Zaandam so easy!! We would love to stay here again and will highly recommend it.
The hotel is located slightly out of central Amsterdam but conveniently 2 stops away by train and just right beside the station. Away from the busy hustle bustle, Zaandam was a nice spot out of the city area with it's own district of shopping and eateries available. The Zaandam station is just 1-2 stops from getting to the famous Zaanse Sanche which was really easy and convenient. The beds were a bit uncomfortable for us, but the room was spacious clean and even hosted a nice view. Overall, a recommended hotel.
