Great location!!”

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Thanks to the reviews we selected to stay here. The only downside was the breakfast situation. The listing says breakfast included, but it’s not, only if you select to purchase breakfast. They need to fix this on the listing, b/c I was upset when it was explained to me. When I offered to pay the price online, I wasn’t that amount, instead a quote of $40 per person, per day. I declined it. Instead I enjoyed the ocean breeze cafe in the front of the resort, they served delicious breakfast and cost less then $10 per person. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hospitality was the best, the food was delicious from the pool to the cafe. Complimentary yoga every morning. The grounds are gorgeous. It’s the best beach resort. The hotel is next to the four seasons, but much better then the four seasons, since this resort has the ocean front, beach access. Jimbaran is the best beach, I stayed on other sides of the island and this is the best beach. There’s also dining options on the beach you can choose to dine at, they only take cash though. We really loved our stay @ Intercontinental, the price great, what they offered was wonderful, we miss being there with all the wonderful staff and gorgeous views. And the rooms are spacious. Walk-in closets too, you can live here for a week. I look forward to going back :)

an australian opinion”

loved the pool area and the fact that our room was closeby, rather than having to walk a long way to the beach and water.Loved the room and its facilities. liked the pastries and fruits as part of our deal.
afternoon tea of scones was a bit ordinary and repetitive.could have more use of fresh fruits local to the region: no papaya was served during our stay, and served fresh juice rahter than the bottled version. _Pastries were always running out and sometines you would have to ask or wait for more to be brought. Butter was never put out and didn't go for the pineapple with the scones. Not sure that the hotel is really family friendly. were told that a family would have to hire 2 interconnecting rooms. For us, at full price, that would be too expenisve.Didn't seem to be a lot of(if any) water sports available

The Intercontinental Hotel in Bali is superbly located on the beach at Jimbaran Bay. It is a medium sized hotel in which you can feel comfortable and not part of the rat-race. The pool areas are excellent with a swim-up bar, restaurant, a covered area with lounges from which you can roll off into the water, and plenty of open -air lounges with beach umbrellas. Leading from this area is the beach where you can frolic in the clear salty water or even catch a wave depending on the season. Food is served in a variety of restaurants and is of good quality. You can even walk along the beach to dine at other seafood restaurants while the sun sets colourfully on the distant horizon. A singaraja room will enable you to have access to a variety or fruits, juices, tea and coffee and pastries from 8:00am which you can eat at the lounge or in the privacy of your own room. Staff are very friendly without being intrusive! I would like to see special deals for families who want the standards of this hotel, but with a more family-friendly price! I also think that water sports such as sailboarding, sailing, snorkeling and fishing should be available to hotel guests. We did not find evidence of this service.

Amazing experience!”

Beautiful landscape

the intercontinental bali resort was a much needed breath of relaxation for me. prior to my arrival, i booked a day's worth of spa treatments at the hotel spa via e-mail. the person who received my e-mail responded promptly, made some suggestions on which treatments i should receive, and confirmed that my appointments were booked. upon arrival, i was pleasantly surprised. the pictures on agoda do not do the hotel justice. it is absolutely beautiful! the breakfast was not included, however, it was well worth the price. the staff was friendly, the room was spotless and spacious, and the pool was gorgeous with plenty of spots to lay out, and the beach is large, clean, and quiet. i would stay here again in a heart beat!

Fantastic stay at InterContinental Bali”

1. excellent location on the beach, 2. amazing view of the sunset, 3. beautiful gardens, 4. spacious room and bathroom, 5. massage pavillions at the garden and pool
The frog in the waters - a bit noisy during the first night but that;s being in a tropical place with beatiful gardens.

The InterContinental Bali is a fantastic resort. It is on the Jimbaran beach which is a long, sandy beach with an amazing view of the ocean. The design of the hotel is beautiful, incorporating traditional balinese elements. The swimming pools and the pool bar are really nice. The breakfast is very good and is served at two really nice locations. The best spot is the Sunset bar where you can enjoy the sunset, of course, and in the night have a cocktail with a view of the ocean. The rooms and bathroom are spacious and nicely decorated. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic, paradise, family hotel. ”

Location, quality of service and facilities, seafood on the beach.

Our stay at Intercontinental Bali was one of the best holidays ever. The hotel itself is beautiful with large spacious rooms, a great selection of dining options and a world of activities. The staff are friendly and helpful, the concierge helped to ensure we were never without something to do and recommended some of the best trips we have ever been on. The hotel is located right on the beach and has several swimming pools which is ideal as the ocean can get quite rough on windy days. The beach itself is clean and white sand, it is a little stony right in front of the hotel at low tide but turn right and walk 200m and there are no stones. To the left of the hotel on the beach there are many seafood restaurants which are excellent quality and value. For shopping Kuta is just 20 mins taxi ride away and Bali Collection (more choice and quieter) just 30 mins away. For $8 an hour you can hire a private car to take you all over the island, our driver was excellent and took us everywhere. I would also recommend Lembongan Island which is an hour over the ocean but well worth the trip, pristine white sand and crystal clear water. For the kids there is 'Planet Tekers' which has a packed day of activities and are open from morning to night daily, there is a charge for this but my eldest daughter (4 years old) loved it so much she was asking to go back each day. Overall we enjoyed out stay so much we did not want to leave, we will definitely be returning to Intercontinental in the future.

Intercontinental a Treat”

Friendly Staff, excellent service, beautiful hotel with great rooms. The food was excellent. We loved this hotel.
None

We stayed at the Intercontinental for 3 nights after getting engaged in Bali. It is a magnificent hotel with excellent staff to match. The first night we had drinks at the pool bar and I ordered a Jimbaran Breeze cocktail and it was brought out to me in a whole pineapple, very impressive. It's a huge hotel, right on a gorgeous beach. We had a 2hr massage each in the hotel spa and it was the best massage we'd ever had, we both nearly fell asleep it was so relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. All in all it was the best hotel we have stayed in whilst in Bali. We loved it and would definately return.

Superb gardens on the beach front”

Beach Front, Gardens and tranquility

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental. The hotel is set over such a large area of beautiful gardens and trees that you feel as if you have stepped back to a time when Bali was a less crowded, quieter place altogether. Once through the lobby, the sounds of waves crashing on the beach, the hushed strains of the gamelan and gentle bird song begin to work their magic on the weary traveller in search of relaxation. The friendly staff were helpful and professional, the service excellent and it was interesting to see how much time and effort was put into maintaining the buildings and walkways - dedicated workers abound. I would recommend the Intercontinental to any traveller to Bali who is seeking time out for rest and relaxation in a quiet and comfortable environment.

Beautiful sunsets and a great place to relax”

Beautiful beach, great food, good service

The Intercontinental Bali Resort is a beautiful vacation spot. The beach is great, views of the sunset, great pool, tons of sun loungers. Also, it is very conveniently located not too far from the airport. We booked a Singaraja Room and were upgraded to the Duplex Suite, very nice 2 levels with bedroom and full bathroom upstairs. The service was amazing from the check in till check out.

Great beach resort”

great warm pool lots of beach chairs and shady spots to sit comfortable bed and good lighting in the room good selection of tv chanels in english
food was good but expensive

After looking at many hotels and beaches to stay at in Bali we chose the Intercontinental and we were not disappointed. The hotel grounds are large and beautiful. The pools are large and great for swimming or lounging around. There is a large shaded area next to the large pool which we found very comfortable. The rooms are large and have everything you could need. The bathroom was large with a separate tub and shower. The room had a balcony of it which was another comfortable spot to sit and read. The room was well lit at night. The beach is nice and sandy but at high tide there is not a lot of beach. At low tide you can walk for a good distance but the last day we were there there was a lot of garbage brought in by the waves that the hotel staff was doing their best to remove. Overall I would recommennd this hotel for a comfortable beach vacation in Bali.

A wonderful place to relax in style”

Well appointed rooms, sense of space and tentative staff

we were looking for a quiet, luxury week away and that's exactly what we had at the intercontinental in bali. we opted for the more expensive club class and weren't disappointed as the benefits as guests were extensive. choice of breakfasting at any one of the 5 restaurants, afternoon tea in the club lounge and cocktails/canapes were all we needed to keep us going through the day. the activities were great with always something to keep you occupied if you wished. all in all, a great break. not too good if you want to shop a lot as there isn't much good shopping in jimbaran (south of kuta and airport). you will need to travel minimum of 30 mins by taxi ($us8 one way)

Large hotel but does not feel so large. Very nice Club rooms with large outside space, large Sony LCD with DVD and surround sound. In room espresso/coffee maker was great!
None

Has everything you would want. Larger rooms than other hotels in Bali costing much more. Best deal in Bali for the money. Not far from Kuta or the airport too. You can even see the planes land from the beach but can't hear them. Many places to eat and drink cheaper just to the left of the beach. Walking about 2km to the right will bring you to several Jimbaran Beach seafood restaurants right on the beach. Metered taxis are readily available on call from the transport desk if you can't do the walking. ATMs, restaurants, small shops and mini marts are also just across the street.

Good hotel for traveling with young kids”

Children programs, facilities and a great beachfront

I travelled alone with my young son and found the hotel to be safe, kids friendly and has expansive grounds for my son to run around. The children's program Planet Trekkers was interesting enough and my son enjoyed the Balinese dance and the duck feeding segment. We also enjoyed the beachfront area and the swimming pools. The hotel also had a very nice Saturday night buffet dinner special with Balinese dance performance. Service staff were excellent and sensitive to our needs. I will certainly return to InterContinental Bali soon with the rest of the family.

None, everything was superb

This hotel was definately the best of the Bali experience. I also stayed right next door to the Intercontinental called the Keraton hotel, and the Intercontinental was by far better. It's definately a 5 star hotel and you can get that feeling right when you walk in the door. There are over 5 different swimming pools and the main one is right on the beach with great views and a full bar in the pool if you get thirsty. They also have service to every layout spot so while your getting a tan you can order something to eat or drink. I would definately recommend this hotel to a friend.

This was the first hotel I stayed at in Bali, nine years ago. I always look forward to going back. Beautiful tropical setting, spectacular gardens right down to the beach which is one of the nicest on Bali. Gracious service, big rooms. Great breakfast. Get a Singaraja room - near the pool, usually ocean views, afternoon tea (scones, cookies) and pre-dinner snacks (yummy popcorny crisps). On the downside, not many eating options outside of the restaurant - 15 mins to kuta, 30 mins to seminyak. Ko Japanese at the hotel is spectacular and of course there are the famous jimbaran fish warungs on the beach beside the hotel.

Scenery, Nanny Service, Spa / Jacuzzi

This is the best hotel I have stayed in, it had everything for a couple with small baby to enjoy. Apart from the usual great things like beach access, pools, nice gardens, fantastic spa / jacuzzi (oddly was empty... lucky us), fantastic food, we used the nanny facility. Our first time to leave our just turned 1yo with a stranger, but we felt very comfortable with the nanny, she was great. The children play facilities for all ages was excellent! As a comparison, we also stayed 1 day in a similarly priced / similar big name hotel in Kuta... The Intercontinental wins by a massive margin! For food on Jimbaran beach next to the hotel, we were not so lucky, but maybe just our poor choice.... Sunset was nice though.

gorgeous grounds, awesome breakfast

we have stayed at the Intercontinental probably at least 5 times because it is a gracious traditional style hotel with stunning gardens, fantastic pools, Bali's most beautiful beach and a fabulous breakfast. Great place to bliss out, a bit far from the action but there are more and more cafes etc opening up in the Jimbaran area and you get more of a feel for the Balinese spiritual way of life than, say, Nusa Dua or Kuta or Seminyak.
