A truly 5 star on the west coast of Koh Samui”
I have never felt so pampered at a resort before in my life. The staff is just outstanding. Good hotel shuttle for free to the nearest town a couple of times per day. I really liked that the hotel is located far away from the more typically tourist areas of Koh Samui, peacefull and very beatiful resort. The hotel room and the bungalows I saw was in very good condition, swimmingpools large and always very clean. One thing I would like to add is that everyone we met at the hotel could speak and understand both thai and english. We stayed a few days at a hotel at Koh Tao prior to our arrival at Koh Samui. At that hotel more than half of the hotel staff was from Burma. They could not understand english and to my surprise not thai either.
Luxury hotel with breathtaking clifftop location”
the intercontinental koh samui is a beautiful resort, with lovely ambiance and food. the staff were always helpful and obliging. the resort feels as if it is slightly understaffed or perhaps is new and experiencing a few teething problems, as the front-desk and concierge service was sometimes slow and/or failed to follow through on many requests.
worth to stay”
It was a wonderful stay, I was very surprised was upgraded to the villa, it was woth to wait then to prepare the room for long because it was really a big villa with 2 floors, really amazing, beautiful, comfort, very clean, romatic bath room with candle provided. Walk few steps down to the beach and swimming pool, the beach is very clean and sea is peacful, its only a beach can swim in Koh Samui in raining reason, very good service at the pool side, the staff will serve you a cold water and towel, and the other swimming pool beside the reataurant is face to garden view also really nice, and the bar view is very good to see sunset. The restaurant serve food is very delious and ro,atic enviroment. The hotel is the best I was stay in Koh Samui.
Beautiful Secluded Hotel”
Baan Taling Ngam is a beautiful luxury secluded hotel. Has all of the amenities you can ask for...beautiful rooms, waterfront property, excellent service. However, if you plan to enjoy the nightlife in Chaweng, beware that the hotel is about 40 minutes away on the other side of the island. Though the hotel does provide shuttle service into town 4 times per day, guests have to pay roughly $30 per trip. Otherwise though, hotel was excellent and I would highly recommend.
Amazing hotel!!! The best!!!”
we stay for 3 days, and it was amazing, they have 7 pools, the rooms are beautiful, the service is awesome. we really enjoyed our stay there. we were in samui for 9 days, and we change hotel 3 times to be in a different parts of the island. defenetly intercontinental was the best with difference!!! also they have kid's club, and a shuttle bus to take you and pick you up to chaweng and nathon. i will love to go there again.
Good value for money, great location with nice view”
This was the best of the 3 hotels we have done on Koh Samui. We had a nice ocean view room with a big terrace. High ceilings and a large bathroom. Looked all pretty new and nice amenities. Good pool and beach area with several type of restaurants available. Good buffet breakfast with a great selection of different food. Only disadvantage is that you always need to hire a care for getting away. It's an isolated location that confines you to the hotel things. Yet, I highly recommend the hotel for a few days.
I am very satisfied our stay at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort. It is located at beautiful place and the resort is very nice. However, our room was quiet noisy during the night. It sounds like a water pump running. Other than that, we had a good trip.
Dear Khun Uok, Thank you very much for your review of our hotel. It was truly a pleasure to have you with us. I am extremely delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay, It's something our staff takes great pride in, so we value your feedback and thank you for bringing the noise issue to our attention. We apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your stay, We are sharing your feedback with our team so that we can continue to improve. Thank you once again for those warm comments, the entire team and I look forward to welcoming you back to our home on the beautiful cliff, hopefully in not too distant future Warmest regards, Weeraya Wongsakpairoj QCI Manager
A taste of Island Paradise...”
Fantastic sunset (this is a highlight of the resort), excellent facilities and good value for money. Food was excellent... Try the Japanese buffet every Monday evening. It is a resort in the middle of a coconut plantation you have some small village style restaurants outside and small shops so it will be best if you stay in the resort. Food is great but expect it to be pricey being in a resort and all. What i love most about the resort is the accommodating and polite staff. They always greet us and end with have a nice/good day. Everybody is so polite and friendly and the entire stay was a very pleasant and memorable one for my wife and I. Special Thanks goes out the restaurant crew at the Amber restaurant Khun Kwan and Lek for attending to our daily needs (we stayed at the hotel for 1 week). I see them in the morning till the restaurant closes at 11pm. They work such long hours and continue to be so attentive and friendly... Kudos to the Intercon for that! I hope you treasure them as It's staff like them who really make a guest's stay really memorable! Special Thanks also goes out to the speed boat crew who took us out to see the Pink Dolphins... Like I said before, the tours and meals are not cheap! But the excellent professionalism from the staff, facilities (top notch/excellent speed boat) and crew more than makes up for the costs. In room dining was perfect, tennis courts and the event centre team was also fantastic! The SPA was also an experience and it's something you must try... One final caveat, if costs is an issue then please look elsewhere but as mentioned before, the quality of services more than makes up for this!
a very romantic place for holiday with great view”
Before we check in, I sent an email to this hotel telling them that would be my honeymoon. after we checked in, we received the honeymoon welcome set which included a bottle of wine, a chocolate cake! what's a big surprise. the room is very big with breath taking ocean view. our room was on the third floor which gave us great chance to overlook the shore and the whole hotel. Food is also very nice with wide range of selection. although the price is higher than average in there. Overall speaking, you pay for what you get. we had a very nice holiday in InterCon Samui.
Beautiful Hotel for sunset”
The best hotel we had in whole Thailand and the service was excellent. It's real five star hotel with lot of activities facilities . It's wonderful place for couple or family . At the bar you have a great view of the sunset . If we next time in Samui Island again , we would like to stay at this hotel again . If they have free pick up service.
Favourite resort by far.....”
Had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at this resort. The staff were very attentitive and friendly. The resort offers two restaurants with delicious food. Has accommodation to suit couples to families. The accommodation is of a very high standard and very clean. Turn up and turn down room service. Buffett breakfast was fantastic. Location is absolutely beautiful... great sunsets too! Optional free daily activities include, fishing, sailing, yoga, tennis and many more. Cannot think of anything this resort hasnt thought about. Looking forward to staying there again. Will be missed! Looking forward to my next stay.
beautiful private resort with TERRIBLE service”
We were in awe when we first arrived at the very secluded Intercontinental property. The facility is incredible and the views are fantastic. The rooms were great (we had ocean view) and the multiple pools were very relaxing too. The beach has a couple boats you can take out (no charge) which is a nice touch. SOME PROBLEMS / ISSUES: * Our room had a blocked shower drain and we notified manager (Johan) who promised it would be taken care of the next day. It wasn't. So that afternoon we told him again and he finally got it done after 2-days. Not impressed. * The bathroom (toilet area) smelled a bit like a sewer/sewage. We notified manager (Johan) who was unable to do anything. * Seems the leadership is lacking at this hotel and had it been MUCH better we would have rated the hotel much better. We even requested to speak with the GM but he never found us in our 3 nights at the hotel. * The service we received was by far the worst in Thailand we have received yet (been traveling 1 month). The concierge gave misinformation on everything from time breakfast began to ferry options when we left to Koh Lanta. This caused some MAJOR disruptions. * The pool day staff and evening bar staff did not know how to make good drinks and the service was slow and English the worst we've experienced. They didn't seem to care much about their job or doing a good job. We had several drinks we literally could not drink (not good) and they never bothered to ask "is everything okay" or "can I make you something different" even when they cleared FULL glasses of cocktails away. * Our "special buffet fire dancer dinner" was decent. They ran out of salmon and it took nearly 40-minutes to get it from the other kitchen. Dessert was soggy. $200 wasted. Long story short: Once some strong leadership steps forward and trains their staff in better customer service and VERY basic English, the resort will be a 5-star resort. Until then, it's just not comparable
From the moment we stepped into the lobby to check in, we fell in love with the views. Yes it's remote but just what we wanted. On arrival we were told there was a problem with the water in our room and it wouldn't be fixed until the following day. We were a bit disappointed until they showed us the alternative room. It was heaven and the view was similar to that from the lobby so we were happy. We got to keep the room at our request. The food was excellent, the staff very professional and management were often visible and seemed to be hands on. The beach front was all coral and not good for swimming, however, you could take a bit of a dip from the shore or jump off the pier. There was always a lounge available by the pool so it turned out o.k. It's ideal for those wanting to stay in a gorgeous and classy place and happy to do things within the resort and not venture too far.
Amazing piece of paradise”
We had our wedding party at this Intercon resort. Every aspect of the party was executed beautifully by a team of courteous and highly efficient professionals. The food exceeded everyone's expectations as did the general set up for a stunning beachside wedding ceremony and a poolside dinner and party. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful. This is a 5 star resort that does not compromise on anything. Whether you want to stay here for a few nights or organise an event, you will be blown away by the beauty and set up of the venue and by the professionalism of the resort staff. This is not a cheap place to stay, but it is worth every penny!
Pros - The view from the lobby is really out of the world but overall it needs reno Really huge resort that you have 6pools to choose, lots of activities, some FOC Service at the beach was good, very attentive Cons - Room - I paid for the panaromic sea view room, the balcony is big but the view was blocked by the panal sliding door (1/3of it was blocked). For the price I paid, expected coffee machine and bigger TV but just a really small boiler given and it's old. Aminenities was fine but bathroom fitting looked rusty(^0^)', the hot shower is not hot and need to wait for like 3munites Beach - with lots of shell/stones that is very hard to walk around. But if you only tucked yourself by the pool is fine Breakfast - I never had such a least choice of breakfast spread in 5stars resort so far...but quality of coffee serve was good Food - a bit of my suprise, the restaurent staff have no idea what is medium rare when I mentioned my beef, it turn out to be almost well done
We arrived at the resort in a rental car. It is very unsual for people to drive that far on Sumui, but we are hands on. The golf carts that take you to the rooms! Well, they drive way to damn fast for our comfort. The villa we had was 200 sq mt and so pleasant to be in and watch the ocean and enjoy tranquility of our stay. we even had our own pool to ourselves as the season is low season and we picked the best time to be there. The rooms are quite decent and clean. the hotel service is impeccable and reminds me of the old Rockerfelor Resort, Caneel Bay. Would recommend it to eneryone as a stay away from it all.
Baan Taling Ngam is a resort I've been visiting fo”
Baan Taling Ngam is relaxation personified, a place to feel cradled and rocked gently back to a calm center.
Wonderful fun peaceful awesome”
We had an enjoyable stay at the resort with my wife and two kids. Nice sea view looking at the 5 islands and the resort had its own pier which will light up at night. Great variety of food for breakfast. Nice room with spacious bath room. Definitely worth coming back.
excellent hotel with reasonable price”
a little bit far from the airport(45 mins by taxi) and main streets and beaches. however, the hotel has its own beach, restaurants, bars, spa and all in reasonable price, which you may stay inthe hotel for few days already. and the staff there are professional and helpful. overall, i enjoyed the days there very much!
Had the most enjoyable and relaxing stay at this 6 star resort!!! Very beautiful location and accommodation. Fantastic friendly & helpful staff. Complimentary water, fruit and small treat every day. Buffet breakfast is great. Many free activities. Very modern gymnasium also has a pool table room. Nothing these guys havent thought of. So good, decided to stay another 3 nights!
