My recent stay at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur was an absolute delight from start to finish. With my family in tow, we were warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped through the doors, setting the tone for a truly exceptional experience. To top it off, the staff graciously accommodated my special request for a room on the top floor, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline—a perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday. It's these personalized touches that make InterContinental Kuala Lumpur stand out. The hotel's location is second to none, just a stone's throw away from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, and easily accessible from anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. This made exploring the city a breeze, knowing we had a luxurious haven to return to at the end of each day. The grand lobby, complete with a piano, added an elegant touch to our stay. The 24-hour reception staff even went above and beyond, allowing my son to play the piano at odd hours, simply to bring a smile to his face. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and happiness truly made our stay memorable. Dining at Serena Brasserie was a highlight for us. The buffet breakfast spread was simply outstanding, offering a mouthwatering selection of local and international dishes. Special thanks to Mr. Istiaq, the duty manager, who not only ensured our dining experience was flawless but also catered to our special requests with grace and efficiency. And let's not forget the grand swimming pool—a welcome oasis after a day of exploring the city. It provided the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax, soaking in the tranquil surroundings. Our Classic Room was a haven of comfort, with plush bedding ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom, complete with a luxurious bathtub and provided bath salts, was a sanctuary of relaxation—a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, our stay at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur exceeded all expectations. From the attentive staff to the luxurious amenities and prime location, every aspect of our stay was impeccable. We can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this remarkable hotel.
Enjoyed stay but the location is a little off-center”
The hotel and its staff were great! We were warmly welcomed. The hotel staff assisted to help get us checked in earlier than the stated timing, which was useful especially considering that we had a toddler and an elderly with us. It was lovely to also see the staff greet my mother a happy birthday as well as to receive a towel origami arrangement that came with a cake and message from the management. Except for the location — it was about a hour’s drive from the airport though it’s also nearby Petronas Towers and within walking distance to KLCC. Everything else would’ve been perfect if it weren’t for the distance between the hotel and airport, as well as to other locations such as Chinatown. Nonetheless, it wasn’t unmanageable since Grab was readily available. The highlight of our stay was our daily breakfast buffet at the hotel’s restaurant called Serena Brasserie. Our server, Sumon, was attentive to the needs of our relatively medium-sized group of 4 adults and 1 toddler. He made sure we were comfortable and even assisted to get us freshly squeezed juices that we had not been aware were part of the buffet. If we could rate the staff service more than 10/10, we would. Would love to come back again!
Almost Perfect!”
King Classic High Floor was the room I stayed in, but honestly extra money for the high floor makes no difference (since you can't see KLCC anyway). However, no worry my friends, other than that everything was perfect! Room - Super spacious. 100% clean with ultra huge KING BED I even feel distance with my partner. Washroom - I can see outside world from my bathtub in the washroom, it was awesome. For your information, they provide you with Byredo Shampoo and Shower Gel. Location - 8-min walk all the way to the left and you will be at the mighty KLCC, so it's convenient and parking is free for hotel guest. Breakfast - I sat in front of the fountain and watching fish while having my breakfast. The feel was right and the variety of food is wide, take your time and enjoy your breakfast! However, I was being approached plenty of times to review their breakfast, so next time be alert not to disturb customer multiple times. Overall experience I would give an 8.5/10, definitely worth your money for staycation.
Really good hotel in KL”
The room is spacious, bed is king size and very huge, slept with kid on it and have plenty space for all. Bed is also very comfortable. Bathroom is spacious too. Fast internet. Good choices of breakfast. Location is perfect. There is a minimart next to the hotel. Really highly recommend this hotel.
