Classic Thailand resort ”
I searched the internet to find a nice place to stay in Mae Sot. I think I found the right place. So beautiful and clean. When we arrived, we were greeted by our names. They showed us where to park and we checked in. We loved the way it looked from the outside. Then we opened the door to the room. "Wow" it was beautiful too. Every little detail about it was nice. Everything in this place is done in classic Thai. Breakfast was great, we have our order the night before. We walked out to the outdoor dining area. Again the detail so classic. We sat down and made a coffee, they pulled the curtains down to keep the sun out of our face. I felt like I was getting 5 star treatment. They then brought out our breakfast and handed us our breakfast without asking who was supposed to get what, they remembered. I'm so pleased with Irawadee that it will be the only place that I go, when I stay in Mae Sot. I want to stay another night. Many great restaurants near. Some by car some by foot. Congratulations on such a fine job Irawadee. We love this place.

Wonderful place!”
Our stay was exceptional. Breakfast was ready shortly after we arrived in the dining area everyday, and the selection was most adequate. One possible improvement may be providing a small electric pot for making hot tea in the room. A box of kleenex would be helpful, too. This nitpicking however, as the overall quality of our experience was first-rate, and we would not hesitate to recommend the Irawadee Resort to anyone staying in Mae Sot.

A comfortable Hotel choice in Mae Sot”
I enjoyed the pleasant staff, comfortable beds (hard, but not as hard as many Thai hotel beds) and full range of breakfast choices. The hotel is on the airport/border side of Mae Sot, but still inside the main town and within 10-15 minutes walking distance of the better tourist restaurants (Famous Ray's and Casa Mia). I heard the burgers at Famous Ray's are good, but I had such good tortellini at Casa Mia on my first night, so I returned again. I would also recommend the motorcycle dealership "Park Motors" which is along the same road, but about a mile further on the opposite side of town. I rented a 200cc motorcycle there for 250 TBH/day and went for a 5 hour ride in the mountains. Later that day back in town I crashed the motorcycle and scraped up the muffler guard, broke a side mirror and some other small damage. They charged me only for the parts (about $40 US) which was more than fair. This is an honest shop that you can trust. They don't have a large selection, but you can rent smaller scooters there for 150THB/day. Enjoy your stay in Mae Sot.

Quiet guesthouse”
I had a comfortable stay at Irawadee Resort. The room was clean and large enough; bed was fine. Very lovely surroundings with gardens outside the front door of room. Facilities are in good condition and working well. Only annoyance was that the lady in charge was clueless about anything to do with the bus station. Usually managers offer to call the bus station to find out the schedule. Overall, nice place that's not too far from the centre of town.

Clean, Well-designed, Great Breafkast”
I think "Resort" might be a bit overstated, but this place was great overall. The design is really beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly. They helped arrange a ride back to the airport, and I'd recommend getting in touch beforehand to arrange a ride FROM the airport if you need it. Mae Sot is a bustling border town, but there's not really much to do here. The hotel was a nice place to relax for an overnight stop.

Attractive Thai style accommodation with shady outdoor are for breakfast and outdoor verandas ”
Stayed here for 4 nights in March 2017 when visiting family working in Mae Sot. Small scale guest house. Rooms are pretty and you get a nice veranda and wooden lounger. Staff very friendly and helpful. Choice of simple breakfasts I had a huge bowl of fresh fruit, yoghurt with muesli to to top. Only slight downside is the mattress was very firm, but having said that I slept really well. It's close to places like Borderline Fairtrade shop and cafe, Weave and Braverly coffee shop, all of which are enterprises supporting Burmese migrants and refugees. and well worth a visit. Guest House also hosts daily yoga sessions and can book you massages ( didn't have time to fit it all in). This was my second time in Mae Sot and I would stay here again.

Exceptional”
Superb staff, excellent value for money. Not really a resort, as no "resort" facilities , but only complaint would be the same hard beds found throughout Thailand, good varied breakfast (order the night before) , comfortable and welcoming facilities, would hope to stay there again when next in Mae Sot.

excellent, beautiful boutique hotel; great service”
A great find; from what we saw, probably nicest place to stay in Mae Sot and one of if not the prettiest buildings in town. But cozy, not big. Service very good. Not much local transportation in Mae sot and wanted to go to restaurant on outskirts; owner/manager gave us ride in his car and later picked us up.

Unique hotel design”
Irawadee Resort is one of unique hotel design, decoration and functional room layout. They use Red color and my husband loves it. This resort is our choice to stay if we have a chance to visit Mae Sot again.

Great location & large room ”
very happy during our recent stay in the vip room, staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast provided. casamia restaurant is practically next door, best pasta, salads and food in general in mae sot for very very cheap prices they do a great pizza too and will deliver! pie shop across the road was also delicious. also had the best massages at the business next door to the pie shop. we'd do a morning walk into town then head back, shopping along the way (weave - fair trade shop is fabulous, and lunch at casamia. was a great way to spend the morning. irawadees owner drove us to the burmese border markets, for a very steep fee, and picked us up. but as tuk-tuks and taxi's (other than motor bike pillion taxi's - no helmets provided) are hard to find it was the best option. i suggest you negotiate a return fare before you agree to his offer of a lift or hire a scooter yourself. he also drove us to the airport, again for a steep fee. btw - flights to chiang mai were only $50aud each - took 50 minutes. negatives - no lunch or dinner on offer - only breakfast is provided if booked in advance. the bed was very hard, like the old thai beds of old, first and only slab of marble (felt like it) we had to sleep on during our trip. the bathroom roof/skylight is open to the room next room, you can hear and smell everything going on in each others bathrooms. nice :p the bus trip from phitsanulok to mae sot is not worth your life, our driver kept nodding off then tried to get more money out of us to keep going.

Relaxing ”
The Irawadee Resort is just a hotel... Its 5 min from the Airport (Taxi 100 bart) 5 klm from the border (taxi 100 bart) 10 min walk to the town center 2 min walk to great Thai food Seafood Restaurant accross the road, not very cheep... PROS: very clean, relaxing, yoga classes every day, nice plated breakfast, price is good for what it is CONS: Rock hard Materess's, Air-con above shower unit makes the bathroom very hot, no Pool its in town that doesnt have much to offer and the border crossing has not much to offer Although Mae Sot is situated in Thailand it really is a myanmmar town, we enjoyed our 3 days in mae Sot at the Irawadee but there are many other towns in Thailand that offer more

Very nice hotel in Mae Sot”
I have stayed at many hotels in Mae Sot and this is by far one of the best. The room decor is lovely and the grounds are well kept. Everything is really nice here. But be warned that the beds are like sleeping on a rock though. I know Thailand has hard beds, but after 7 years here these were the hardest I have felt. Also bathrooms are all open air to one another, so you hear everything your neighbour is doing. Otherwise is a great place, especially if you have ear plugs and like a firm sleep

Relaxing night in Thailand”
Having stayed in several places in Thailand, usually in modest hotels, this one stood out as comfortable and peaceful in a traditional Thai setting. Staying only one night, I regretted moving on. My breakfast was included, and served at the hour of my choosing. This was chosen at checkin. The room was clean and spacious. The bed had the usual hard mattress that I am familiar with. There was the sound of water dripping, and I later discovered that it was the condensation from the air conditioner running into the shower, an unusual way to deal with this. The shower itself had reasonable water pressure with adequate temperature, at the higher end as showers go in other modest Thai hotels. The staff was helpful with my massive amount of luggage. Yoga is offered at this hotel, and I met several people from other guest houses that were in the class. I would definitely stay again for the price offered by Agoda.

Pleasant and attractive”
We enjoyed it -- very clean, nicely furnished, staff helpful with umbrellas, etc. Aside from visiting relatives, we did not find a lot to do in Mae Sot...

Really friendly staff and nicely decorated”
We stayed for 6 nights as my boyfriend was volunteering at the Mae Tao clinic. The staff let him check into the room prior to my arrival which was a great help. The rooms and hotel decorated in a lovely style. Taxi driver knew where he was going. Bike hire 50 thai baht a day- great value. We're really helpful in arranging a way for us to see the surrounding sights. Breakfast included thai and western options. The staff where very helpful.

Very good”
This is a nice small option for accommodation in Mae Sot and the aesthetic details are lovely. The staff are helpful and the breakfast is good. The only problem is that there's not a lot of privacy from other guests. If there aren't many people staying at the hotel (as was the case when I was there), then it's not a big problem.

Stunning hotel in Old style with modern comforts”
The hotel was even better than the pictures on the website, built in the old Thai style the character of the hotel is absolutely charming. A beautiful large airy dining area at the front of the hotel, where we enjoyed a delicious feshly prepared breakfast, different choice each day. The staff were very helpful and polite, one night when a taxi was not available the owner drove us to the amazing restaurant in the jungle, and collected us at the end of the evening! The room was beautiful, well worth the price we paid. I would highly recommend this hotel.
