Great place to reflect”
The main front beach is really not pleasing for swimming but great thing is that they offer free boat transfer to take you to nearby island like vanishing island which is a very fun place to swim and take photos. The resort itself is really peaceful, has big rooms and great food and best of all the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would recommend this resort when in Samal.

Comfortable, Quiet and Great Hospitality”
Decided to stay in this resort due to the great reviews here at Agoda. I wasn't disappointed. The place was very nice, serene and cozy. The rooms were very very nice, comfortabe beds, cold airconditioning, beach was clean and within a few steps away, boat trip to Vanishing Island was memorable, restaurant/bar didn't fail, food was excellent and service was exceptional… I saved the best for last. Im definitely reccomending this to other travellers who are looking for a quiet place to de-stress, and on a tight budget. Will be coming back to this place the next time we go back to Davao, for sure.

Two thumbs up for Customer Service”
It was a pleasant stay. We were the only visitors except for another couple so it was peaceful and quiet. I love the look and feel of the resort especially at night time. Rooms are clean and well-kept. Food was okay but you have to tell the staff the exact time you want your dinner or breakfast to be served as preparation of the food can take an hour. Staff were friendly and accommodating to all our requests and helped us plan our itinerary for land tour and island hopping. Beach area is small but the free tour to Vanishing Island made up for it.

Homey and exclusive”
The place seems exclusive and private because we were the only guests in the resort. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had welcome drinks, and we were able to experience a long and wide stretch of beach front due to low tide, so we experienced exploring the marine life (sea urchin, crabs, mollusks, live corals, star fish and seaweeds) without snorkeling. Going to the Vanishing Island is also part of the package and that is one great experience. Unfortunately, the kayak has a hole on it, thus we weren't able to use. If you don't want crowds and noisy resorts, then this is the place for you!

Very nice new resort”
It was great. Ms. Sonia and the staff were really hospitable and it was nice hearing their stories. The resort is new and our room was clean and had a very nice rustic modern design. Bathroom was pretty small though, but that's totally fine because it was clean. Bed was very enticing and mite-free. It was beachfront and a pretty small island was just across. You can go there for free via their small motorboat. Food was good and you can ask them to cook anything. They have a nice pool though I'm not sure why it wasn't clear, but it was clean and not salty so at least they were not using seawater for their pool. Overall, it was a really nice stay. :)

A True Paradise”
It was superb! My friends and I were very happy because we've made a right choice. We've maximized our time during our stay; the Hotel/Resort is close to Monfort Bat Sanctuary and approximately 45 mins to Hagimit Falls. It is also conveniently located to other local store as well as Market. The hotel staffs and the owner of the hotel itself was very friendly and accommodating. Infact, sir Jacque, personally took photos for us upon arrival. A welcome drinks was served. Nanay Fe showed us our room that was very impressive. Two super comfy single bed with soft linens and comforter. It has complete room amenities such as 3 towels (for each person), shampoo, soap and bottled water. They have nice interior design and the white paint on the wall made each room looks more elegant and clean. There's a Balcony outside the room and as you walk away, you'll see the beach. Perfect time to go there when sun is about to set while playing with Genius the friendly dog. They also have few birds :D I sure will 100% recommend this to those people who wanted to find sometime to just sit back, relax and forget about the busy life.

Simple, relaxing stay”
A newer resort, nice cottages, but little to do here. Beach is small,...not terrible, but not great either. Really need to have some entertainments, like pool table, ping pong table, or other games. At a minimum, they could very easily provide chess set on beach,...but nothing! As result, it is kind of boring place to stay. I don't recommend, go to Paradise Island instead, its about same price and MUCH better.

Nice small new island resort ”
The stay was very good. Had a relaxing time with very good food. New hotel with refreshing design (french) at a very good location. However, services are overpriced with no clear pricing available upfront. (35USD for two bike ride to hagimit falls felt overpriced) Wi-fi was available on public place on request only. Weekend was noisy due to video karaoke of neighbour resort, but overall a good stay. Staff needs more training on customer service.

Good Small Boutique Resort”
It was a relaxing stay. Older members of my family had good massages. The complimentary boat ride to and fro Vanishing Island was a treat. Food choice were decent in the resto. Pool was enticing. My family and I wouldn't mind going back to the resort.

Modern, elegant cottages with great staff”
The staff were friendly, attentive and I was blown away by the decor and quality of the interior in the cottage. The resorts fronts onto the water with a small private beach area great for relaxing. The water itself is fairly high traffic with shipping vessels and commercial boats, so not an ideal "picturesque" beach experience that you might expect in other popular resort places in the Philippines. The staff was very willing to arrange motorbike transportation into town and other destinations as we requested, however there is very little near this resort in the way of amenities. Be prepared to walk! The pools were under constant construction during our stay and not really usable, but looked nice. Food was great by local standards, but it was the staff who made this a most enjoyable stay.

Nice layout swimming pool and restaurant”
Relaxing place, good with a group of friends. Food in restaurant was good, not too cheap but but maybe normal price on the island. Pool was nice, other pool under construction might be nicer when that is finished. Beach is pretty but really good for swimming. Bat caves walking distance, worth a visit. Hagimit falls about 45 minutes away but worth a visit.

Great service”
The rooms are gorgeous and worth the price. The staff always went beyond when it came to service and always tried to accommodate requests. Food is limited but every dish we tried was great. If you go there, look for genius, their friendly dog. :)

when we arrived at the resort the staffs aren't aware that we have reservation that day.”
2 weeks before our vacation i confirmed w/ the resort about my booking through agoda.they replied that our reservation is confirmed. then 1 day before and on the day of our check in i keep on texting them on how can we get there,if they are going to fetch us at the port.they gave no reply.i tried to call but it cant be reached. as we arrived at the resort about 3pm the staffs were shocked when i told them about my reservation.bcos there is only 1 room available.they gave it to other walk-in customers. we're tired from our road trip and their going to tell us that we dont have a room!my dad told them that he's going to be wild and to our suprise one of the staff told us "ok lang mag wild kayo". what a good way to trigger your customers anger. good thing, they still manage to gave us room, the one that is beside the pool.but it is not what have i expected.during breakfast we have 6 free breakfast w/c is included in package and they gave additional 3meals. vanishing island tour is my fave

Quite Good :)”
Rooms are okay. We had fun staying late outside, and have a few drinks which by the way they charged us a corkage fee, hehe, Good breakfast too. Thanks for the free trip to Vanishing Island!

NICE HOTEL BUT VERY QUIET”
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and that was enough. There are only six rooms and we were the only ones at the resort. I asked for 2 extra towels and an extra pillow and they CHARGE for that. First time I ever get charged for basic ammenities in a hotel. The beach is very small and not that great. as we were the only ones you can imagine how quiet it was! The rooms are basic with no fridge, no safety box, they charge for extra towels or pillows. They advertise cable/sattelite TV but THERE IS NONE!! So you cannot watch television to relax at night when you come in after the hotel shuts down at 22:00 hrs. Also there are rats that run in the ceilings at night, so if you are a light sleeper, you might have a hard time to sleep. All in all, not a really good experience and would NOT stay there again.

Better for French than Filipinos”
My Filipina partner, together with mother, daughter, son, sister and niece, found that the foreign guests were consistently treated better than they were, and there was a very clear sense that this was because Filipinos are not as welcome. From little details such as receiving chipped plates whereas westerners didn't, to being neglected at breakfast time, this left a cloud hanging over what was supposed to be a once-in-a-lifetime family holiday experience. I guess the name of this resort is quite fitting. Find somewhere else to spend your holiday if you are Filipino.
