Very good quality price ratio, and super nice location”
We stayed 4 nights in this hotel which is ideally located in Corong-Corong (far better than El Nido proper). It has a nice restaurant/terrace from where you can enjoy the sunset (oriented towards the West). The room was big and clean, the area is calm but has all what you need to book your tours, rent a scooter, scuba dive, have a massage etc... And on top of all of that the staff is very nice and helpful, plus the price was unbeatable for that area. I think it's the hotel I liked the most during my trip to the Philippines.

El nido in general needs to get better internet”
There is pretty much no internet in all of El nido unless you go into the very few coffee shops. The internet here is terrible and rarely working. The rooms are decent and all you need if you are a backpacker looking for a cheap hotel. El nido seems to be living in the stone age . They need ATMs and Better communication services. It has to be hurting the tourism and costing the community a lot of money.

fantastic resort”
i found island front to be one of the best places I have stayed at in a long time , the staff were friendly and helpful plus they helped cater for my disability by making sure I had a room on the bottom floor, the environment was relaxing and closeness to the beach was amazing and the views breathtaking. The owner also went out of his way to meet the guests individually which I found amazing and he asked us if we needed anything just ask. the staff also arranged trips and transport with a minimum of fuss I will definitely go back!!!! there is probably more good stuff i could write but I have so much in my brain because I had a great time

Not great, but good value for money”
Altogether given the price and given that it's El Nido, Philippines, this is a pretty good deal. The same problems that afflict all the budget establishments in El Nido also afflict this place: WiFi was poor; brownouts are to be expected. My shower water pressure was also upsettingly low. Stuff was just old - my mosquito nets and bedsheets had holes. Cleanliness was not good by international standards, but pretty good for Filipino standards (and the price). Staff was very friendly though and always greet you as you come in. The breakfast (choose from a range) was surprisingly decent (2 pieces of pancake with a few slices of banana was what I always got), given the price. Water is free. So is coffee and tea all day long.

Decent place with a nice placed restaurant”
There are two buildings, the main one that's also where you have the restaurant and unsatisfying breakfast. The restaurant is in front of the beach and is very well placed. The second one or "Island front II" doesn't even have a beach access. The room is clean enough, has AC, cold shower and no wifi. Just for ye private room it's satisfactory enough. Still, it could use some cleaning and maintenance, specially in the alley leading to the rooms.

You get what you paid for!”
First, the hotel was difficult to locate! New name of Leonides is Island Front Cottages so make sure to mention Island Front. During my first night, I have asked twice just to turn on the water. Water supply is too bad and the light in the room is very dim. Hope they can put a brighter bulb but maybe they can't do it as Palawan specially El Nido is in electricity crisis. Free breakfast? Yes but it's an just an ordinary food, nothing special. The room is kinda clean but there's an unpleasant smell that I couldn't understand. I suggest they have to spray something to make it pleasant. You really get what you paid for but wait, the staff were so friendly and they really entertained your queries and they have UNLIMITED Coffee and Tea 24hrs. Thumbs up for the friendly head of the front desk, I just forgot to asked her name. Thanks Leonides Budget Hotel, enjoyed my stay in El Nido for my birthday.

Lovely location, outside of busier town with beachfront bar and deck”
Pros: Quieter location compared to in el nido, Walking distance from bus On edge of a beach with deck bar and beautiful sunset Nearby restaurants and shops 20 min walk to el nido Great breakfast Friendly staff Cons Building renovation going on at site at present Cold water only Rooms basic, bamboo construction and no mosquito nets provided but able to hang your own up of brought with you

for the price we paid we got exactly what we expected”
I sort of like this place, It's my third time there. I like that they have a lovely deck out the newer part. and that i could sit there for hours and no one minds. It is very basic room wise, its a old bamboo/nipa style place. If mosquitos don't bother you and having no network service inside room, you will feel like it's ok because it's one of the cheapest place I know in all of el -nido. oh, if you freak out from mice so better don't stay here, we saw a cute little baby mousy peeking at us from the wooden wall. But we probably scared him more then he us. I have to say though that the staff are all pretty lovely. Maybe that's why I keep on coming back. Oh and the fact the I'm poor. lol

Bad but not unexpected”
A cheap place with a breakfast is what you can look forward to, here. But nothing else. The individual cottages are squeezed in a small area with no room or views. The rooms are worse and apparently well frequented by rats and other critters. Mercifully, we didn't see any. The towels and sheets were clean. The whole place is constructed with bamboo and has a rustic feel. The airconditioning worked. And the toilet was clean. Just remember to leave the room cleaning card outside, every day, as otherwise they will not change the linen or clean the place. The hot water did not work. And don't brush using tap water as it is contaminated like all of El Nido. The breakfast is in a sister property called Island Front Cottage, in a colorful beachfront vegetarian restaurant. This is also the place you check in as no one knows Leonidas. Finally, you get wifi only in the reception area and no where else.

cozy room (#25) little out of town”
Pros: close to beach neat decor comfort staff was nice Cons: not close to el nido food delivery and service was terribly slow no wifi at leonides (had to go to their main reception to get it) I would recommend this place

A little high for the offering”
It was meh, kind of far away from El Nido.. def not walking distance to the town proper. They gave me 3 wifi passwords for 3 connections yet for some reason none of them ever appeared anywhere on the property. :/

Amazing Beach, Meh Staff”
+ Corong scoring is an amazingly beautiful beach + Free breakfast with great views to wake up to + Right on main highway with restaurants and access to El Nido town - The bungalows have horrible noise spillover. I could literally hear every single drop and word from the idiots on both sides of me - The staff could be a bit friendlier, most seem like they didn't want to be there

nice staff, rats in the room”
I planned to stay only for two nights but ended up staying 4 because i got food poisoned. I don't know if I got it there or in the Art cafe, but I would suggest you be careful... Maybe avoid having omelette for breakfast. Other guests were sick too. The staff is very nice and helpful, the place is nice, by the beach and with the best sunset view, but rooms are not very clean. I had to move because there was a rat in my room (room 14). I could hear lots of rats under the floor and bats on the roof. Location is not the best regarding distance to el nido centre, where everything happens. Unless you want to walk about 40 min, you'll have to take tricycles that will tell you 50 is the price, although the real one is 15

Just okay. ”
First of all..best free breakfast I have ever had! But it's really hard to locate because there is no sign for it. The reception is two doors down in a vegetarian labeled restaurant. It's one of the first places on the left once you enter corong corong. The staff was okay. Not the best. The tour I booked with them was awful. They told me it'd be maybe 10 people, ended up being 25. I think they do a tour themselves, then once that is full, send people to another company they use. That's what it seemed anyways. I really didn't enjoy El Nido in general. It's crawling with tourists and way over rated. I would skip it and go strait to Coron. But it was nicer to stay out of el Nido and in corong corong. Over all, fine stay. Nothing special.

Far from downtown El Nido”
A bit far from Downtown El Nido or Brgy Maligaya Zone 1-busy streets of El Nido. They put us on their extension hostel which we didnt expect and which the photos didnt matched on what we availed...the plus factor was that they have a nice free breakfast buffet but ask first if it was included on ur package.

A room with a rat”
Important: - Ask to be dropped off at "Island Front Cotagges". Leonidas is Island Front 2 and the front desk at Island Front books you in. - Look for hole in wall under bed. This was probably made so rats do not - It is a budget hotel, dont expect anything more. - It's the Philippines, do not drink tap water. What We liked: - Balcony over looking some houses - Fan - Free Breakfast (Just ate eggs) - Front desk assistance What we didnt like: - Big rat in our room - No wifi in room - Small box of a room - Breakfast - Hole in wall for rat Leonidas is actually Island Front - Part 2. There are no markings or signage and you would only find it if you are shown the way by the staff from Island Front.

Get #1, not #2”
Islandfront 2 (II or dos) is a few doors down from the main Islandfront resort and a lot less attractive. Most staff were friendly and helpful, but the back building lacks the atmosphere, attention and outdoor space that is present at the main set up. I think value for money is better in other places in the area.

Very good”
The lady at the front desk was lovely. Our room had been used, if not stayed in and wasn’t clean. At least the beds and sheets were clean, but the towels had been used and there was garbage laying around the room. The breakfast was good though, especially for a free breakfast!

Low budget hostel”
Basically, I would recommend this place to someone on a tight budget. We stayed for 6 nights. During this time we saw 2 cockroaches in the toilet and heard a lot of rats in the ceiling. Nonetheless, the place is still being renovated and is actually turning out alright. The free breakfast is at the Island Front beachfront restaurant, the pancakes are alright! The staff aren't particularly friendly, but all in all the stay wasn't too bad. The bed was comfy, had a mosquito net and the TV worked well.
