The hotel owns a unique trademark of the Great Motherland of China, which is the world’s largest Chinese silk painting. A mixture of old and oriental elements lie in the architecture and can be expressed in the 56 floors overlooking the Peak and Victoria Harbor. The strategic location provides easy access to MTR station and the Pacific Place. The hotel features beautifully appointed guestrooms equipped with modern amenities that fulfill your every need. The spacious guestrooms and suites let you enjoy a spectacular view of the majestic Peak or the harbor. Great stay. Perfect location
Nice, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Friendly and accomodating staff, great facilities and a sweet bar with jazz band on the Friday night. Location right about the mall, easy for eating and cinema. Breakfast not quite as good as the Intercontinental in TST, but other than that, would be very happy to stay again.
Great hotel ”
Everything was superb - the location is fantastic and the views are breathtaking. I had the room facing the peak, which I generally prefer as its a nice and calm atmosphere. Food was very good
Excellent hotel in perfect central location”
Perfect location, walking distance to central and LKF as well as Wan Chai. It also has the Admiralty MTR station in the shopping centre below so quick access to Kowloon also. The rooms were a good size, traditional and a little dated decor wise but less so than the Conrad next door. The pool and spa area is very nice, pretty quiet and well equipped. Didn't eat here so I can't comment on that. Check in and check out process were fast, efficient and friendly. Will definitely stay again for my next HK trip.
I really like their services. And their kindness and thoughtfulness in preparing a cake for my wedding anniversary. Keep up the good job! Services are excellent and exceptional. The only downside might be the interior of the room, which is slightly old.
Perfect visit... ”
This is one of my favorite hotels. I love the boston lobster bar and grill on the ground floor and always make a visit. The live jazz band and overall ambience is perfect for entertaining guests and relaxing too. Overall the service is great and always a very nice experience.
Breakfast with children was expensive or at least ratio value for money was harder to understand. Quality food though, no problem, but how much breakfast can one eat (?) Other than that great hotel, top service, super located.
slightly older hotel but great service”
We got the harbor view room to watch the fireworks on new years eve but the view was partially blocked. If you're going to do the same, make sure you're on very very high floor. Otherwise, service was great and room was big enough to have 2 young kids play and run around. Food is good especially the bakery on 5th floor. Great assortment of sweets to have with tea in the afternoon. Breakfast has a pretty decent spread but taste is just so so. The mall attached to it only has a limited variety of shops. If you're in for serious shopping, consider going to CWB or TST area.
Excellent. Best place in HK and best pool. It would be perfect if, space allowing, they could lay on some group activity for children as they do at their resorts. Note only 16+ can use the gym so my active teenager a bit miffed.
Excellent hotel compared to other Shangril-la”
Only one night this time but have been here on many occassions. Hotel is nice, good atmosphere with good and pleasant staff. Great "Lobster Bar" with night live jazzy kind of music (changes of course). Room are good in size though a bit expensive for similar five star hotel (four season, peninsula) but sltighly bigger than the Mandarin.
i love this hotel”
first of all i want to tell you its my second fav hotel the hong kong! ( first choice is four season, more close to the ocean view) but Island Shangri-la Hotel is the best hotel for shopping oriental..
wonderful staff, great service...”
a well known hotel that provides the best service they could...at our arrival, they showed us the hotel as well as a very beautiful piece of artwork(biggest piece of art in HK)... we spent our Xmas holiday in HK and the staff gave us a box of chocolate with a very sweet note...very tocuhed and surprised... the hotel is located near the central which is a food and shopping heaven... Good location, wonderful staff.... No regret...best choice in HK island
Luxurious and attentive service by Island Shang”
hotel concierge was extremely helpful, couldn't have asked for better. they are very knowledgeable regarding restaurant bookings and they always fax a confirmation up to your room. room amenities are amazing, there is a dedicated printer/fax multifunction machine in every room with a private fax number which would cater to business travelers very well. the room is clean with bathroom amenities from l'occitane. all in all, a delightful stay.
The hotel was good very quiet room”
I love to stay in shangri-la hotel when i normally go to hongkong for business and holiday. The room is big and have a free wifi access. If you like togo shopping pacific place is just in the lower floor
Pros : amazing view, as a vegan wanna be i feel sooo good having breakfast in this hotel because so many choices of fresh fruits and vegetables. The room is very beautiful with asian decoration.
Excited yet disappointed”
We were excited about the stay initially. But few disappointments came along the way. Firstly we were giving a room at level 40 (room level start at 39). At level 41, you can access to an open space where there is a huge Chinese landscape silk painting held from level 56 to level 41. That's make the hotel looks more alive but only if you are getting one located at level 41 and above. Furthermore the room is near to the lift area. We'd mentioned we prefer higher floor and quiet room. Then we found the basin in the bathroom was mildly choke up. The waiting time for the lift is long. Breakfast is very good but for some reason we were directed to the table at a corner where you look out from the window is a construction side and next to you is where the staffs sort out the dirty plates. More importantly, the restaurant was only 60% occupied at that moment. So put it altogether it gives you an unpleasant stay while having high expectation on a 5-star hotel and the price you paid.
Getting hitched in the Park”
Was getting married on that day and staff welcomed us with beautiful flowers! We had asked for a room on high floor and were put on the 54th floor (without the clubhouse benefits). The views of Hong Kong harbour are breathtaking from up there. The room was clean but felt a bit aged. Great stay, just too short!
Old style luxurious with beautiful understated but attentive service. We had a great time. ”
It was my birthday and I had put that in our booking notes - we went out and on our return the room was decorated with balloons, a banner and a beautiful card. Later that night a hand made cake was delivered. Absolutely above and beyond! Check in was efficient but I would have liked to have had the hots facilities explained to me. We didn't know what restaurants there were or how to access the shopping mall. But otherwise all was excellent
You can't been Shangri La hospitality. This is the hotel group that always delivers”
Not only does Shangri La deliver it goes that little bit further to make every guest feel pampered and special. My birthday visit was recognised and celebrated with balloons, cake and tea and a wonderful decoration of our room. The hotels are a special grand Asian style which few can replicate these days. There is a always a great quartet or group of musicians in the lobby and the location is unsurpassed in HK. Don't skimp - stay here and have a memorable hotel experience
Though the price is so high during Christmas holiday, it was still a very pleasant stay in Shangri La. You can have great food in the hotel or in the mall. You can go everywhere by MTR, bus, tram. The location is so prime that I will stay again in my next visit.
