Great affordable beach villa”
It was a great experience, would like to see the reception area maybe get renovated and/or a place to have breakfast. However having the view and the ocean on my door step, outweighs the lack of breakfast by far. The staff are very helpful and are always prepared to lend a helping hand. The fact that I was close to all amenities was also a great plus. I am definitely going to stay at the Island Spa Resort the next time I am in Koa Tao.

Great rooms, great location!”
the room was very spacious and perfect for a couple. the room was clean and had a fridge, air con and fan units. the bathroom was nice with a combined tub and shower unit, it's a rarity in asia to have a tub! the bathroom did have a few ants however they mostly came out at night time so didn't bother us! there is no breakfast included with this room and the hotel does not have a restaurant however there are so many nearby this was not a problem for us. also as the room had a fridge we went to the local 7-11 and got food for breakfast there! the staff were very friendly and said hello to us every morning and gave us advice of where to eat and activities we could do. the room was just a stones throw away from the beach and everything you could possibly want is within a 5 minute walk. considering how many bars there are close by the noise in the evening is not too bad. you can hear the music from local bars and occasionally get the drunks walking home being noisy but it's nothing that keeps you awake at night. overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely choose to stay again.

No frills good clean spacious fantastic location”
Excellent no frills, no tv, no internet but fantastic location, 1 min walk through garden to beach, quiet but just 2 mins to restaurants,and few shops, large clean room friendly staff perfect for staying in koh Tao where u would spend time out not in room lovely comfy bed and large bathroom with great shower what more could you need ?? Perfect dive centre location

Great location but a little noisy.”
Not a bad beach bungalow. Staff and management were helpful. Rooms are a little rough around the edges but that is to be expected for island beach bungalows. They were very clean. All around very good.

Beware the deposit!”
Rather run-down, but unfortunately the norm for Koh Tao if you want to stay in "budget" accommodation. The room was big but a bit funky and the wiring seemed sketchy. As mentioned, there's no hook for the shower head so you can either hold it or try to tie it to the towel rack like I did. More importantly, upon arrival the guy checking me in asked for my passport. I refused, but he told me I had to give him a 4K baht deposit if I wouldn't leave it. Since I had already paid through agoda I was stuck, and I left my passport with him. I got it back without any hassle but this should be illegal and I cannot recommend risking it yourself.

Good location ”
The room was clean and functional. I did not care for the set up in the bathroom, a hand held shower head in a bathtub with no shower curtain. Other wise very clean and functional. The Ac worked well and cooled the room of quickly which was nice when coming in from the blazing heat. While the hotel is conveniently located to all the amenities you will need, it is very quite in the evenings which is really nice in a party town. I felt that it was a bit spendy, but all in all I would recommend it and would certainly consider it for a future stay.

Beachfront but lacking in cust service”
I booked on agoda, proceeded to go check in and as I did, dropped off laundry that was supposed to be ready in a few hours. I think as soon as I checked in, they closed up shop, even though the hours on the door were 0730-2000. I went back to pick up laundry after dinner and they were closed. I went in the morning at 0800, closed, I went back every hour all day, closed. I finally had to ask a shop next door what was going on and they made some calls to find my laundry at 4pm. I had been having problems with my room/AC/power, and so that went unanswered all day. But, better believe they were there at 0945 knocking on my door to make sure I checked out at 1000 after my 2nd night. I wouldnt recommend this place, I think it only has 2 bungalos and if one is booked, why be at work...If you go to Koh Tao to dive, just stay at a resort, Bans was next door and pretty nice and a very adaptive school, willing to be flexible and custom make classes for students.

Upon arrival we were disappointed but the bungalow certainly grew on us. The porch was nice to sit out and read and the "garden view" bungalows are steps from the beach. We were happy we didn't pay the extra to stay on the beach. The beds were awful but the room kept comfortable with air conditioning. The bungalows are in the heart of Sairee so walking up both ways to the nightlife and restaurants was close and because it's in the middle of both it stays relatively quiet except for the cats... You will hate the bathroom, outdated and consistently not cleaned properly. Having a shower is a chore, holding the head as there's no where to place it. The water takes about 10 minutes to get warm if you even decide to take a shower.

Not a bad place to stay, not great, room is fine and clean. Staff are very unfriendly, and it costs 20 baht everytime you use a safely deposit box. The island massage place next to it is nice and friendly.

Good location but lousy service”
the bungalow's was a little bit old and seems not to be rented out to often...the owner, an old lady was not so good in english so it was a little difficult to make them understand what you wanted. room cleaning was something you have to ask for the air con was not working properly and it was very hot (38-40 c)during our staying there. so for the price we paid its not worth it...there are many other nice place to stay in so this one is not to consider.

A nice place, big clean rooms and good location but the staff - especially the owner - was unfriendly and made the stay less enjoyable than it should have been. Considering how friendly and helpful everyone has been at other places I've stayed on the island (several) I think I'll bring my business elsewhere next time.

Little overpriced”
The old lady taking care of the reservation desk is weird. She keeps your passport and/or deposit, which is not mentioned during online reservation process. Poor service. Good location, close to beach.

Beachfront bungalow for a perfect sundown”
We loved the view. We could hang around at our bungalow and relax in the sun. Perfect location for a sundown evening and for morning jogging trips.

We have agreement with the hotels staff that we check out 5:15 am, but they didn't show up and that's why we miss our trip to Phuket. And that reason we have to buy whole trip to Phuket all over again another boat company. We were lucky that we have new ticket's, otherwise we would miss our plain.

Good location but quality basic to poor”
My stay was ok but the hard pillow and crappy shower that had iron smelling water made it less comfortable. I loved the location because it was convienient to everything but I probably wouldnt stay here again.
