We rented 4 rooms when we visited the place with the family and the place is nice ,staff is really friendly. Location is really close to everything restaurant, coffee shop ,walking distance to the boat area for island hopping.
Basic hotel, affordable good food, location is perfect if you are planning to do the island hopping tour.
Very noisy ”
We had the worst night sleep although it’s not the hotel’s fault having noisy guests around would be nice to put signs up ‘to be considerate to other guests keep the noise down’ staff are friendly though.
Great location and value for money !”
Located across the wharf where you can take the boat going to the Hundred Islands. The big pool was a plus factor & the free breakfast too. They let us use the pool shower too after our tour even if we have already checked out.
more than the basic bed, and could have been better”
location: 5km from town proper. just across the wharf, plaza and eateries, its seafront, with sea breeze (bit fishy tho), got ample parking at the back. room: size is just right, quad sharing with 2 double beds, can accommodate an extra mattress. not super clean coz u can still see some dusts. beds are ok, basic mattress and pillows with clean beddings. facilities/amenities: i like the room having a small area with sink, dining, and a couch even tho they not provide kitchen facilities. no electric kettle, no mini ref, has tv, has a cabinet with clothes hanger. provided clean towels, and toiletries (toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, and toothpaste). bathroom: has hot/cold shower but water can be weak at times. floor has paddle of water and lots of watermarks on tiles and floor. breakfast: good choices of silog meals. service: polite staffs, but slow service
Soooo near the lucap warf. In fact, walking distance. Very accommodating staff, food was great but a little slow.. Very courteous hotel staff
accessible to wharf and convenient
The location is very near to the port. I think it's just 5 mins away. Probably one of the nearest hotel you could find. 1 minor issue is the old TV which has no sound and some keys of the remote do not work like the volume. No telephone, you need to go to 2nd-floor reception to ask for assistance or inquiries. Overall experience was great. No Issue with the facilities other than the aforementioned.
Great location, big rooms, well maintained, sad pool area”
Just opposite the pier, but not much else to do in the area than boating to the 100 islands that you have discovered in one day. We would have stayed longer, if the really nice pool also had a nice atmosphere. It has almost no shade, no sun beds (only chairs), few plants, looks more like a bulding site.
A Delightful Stay!!!”
Great hotel in Lucap, a jump off point for island hopping. Booked 3 rooms for two nights in agoda.com which cost under 200$. I also booked a service boat at check-in for the next day and they prepared lunch for our island hopping @ 9am. We spent the first day strolling on the boardwalk and souvenir shops - compare prices with all vendors for better deals. The next day, a hotel employee escorted me to the boating office to pay for our trip. The front desk packed our meals and assisted us onto the boat - I think the hotel owned it since the hotel name was scribed on the bow of the boat. We had an amazing time island hopping and the boating staff patiently waited for us. Some of the drawbacks were the paper thin blankets and duvet, no partition between toilet and shower area so the toilet area floods when showering, breakfast was great the first day but ran out of choices the second day; plus food was served cold. Despite some of the drawbacks I still highly recommend Island Tropic to
not all staff are accomodating and friendly. ”
Not all staff are friendly. I couldn't tell if the restaurant is self service or not because we were the ones who gets our own water at the counter. Restaurant server were not accomodating all the time. The pool water was not inviting because it doesn't look clean when we were there. Rooms were clean and ok. Food is fine. Bulalo and daing na bangus was good.
Average hotel with good restaurant. Close to port but staff and service was terrible.
Close to Hundred Islands Port. ”
It's across the road to the Port for Hundred Islands. Beds are terrible foam type. Very limited cable tv, and no black out curtains for the morning sun. It be ok only for convenience stay overnight for Hundred Islands. Won't consider again
Great place to stay”
For an inexpensive hotel I honestly wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Location couldn't be more perfect, right on the wharf; rooms were clean and well set up; food was good; and added bonus of a pool! We had to check out the day we went on the 100 Island tour, but still could use their shower rooms after we came back. We would definitely recommend it.
Two thumbs up!”
The perfect place to stay in if you're going for a tour of the Hundred Islands. VERY accessible - just a stone's throw away from the tourism office and a 2-3 minute walk to the port. The food at the restaurant is delicious and affordable. Ample parking space at the back; cleanliness impeccable. Highly recommended.
Satisfied Traveler - Value for Money”
I booked last Jan 3, - 2 days prior to our target date trip Jan 5-6 '19 for my sister's birthday. When I saw their ads in Agoda & the good reviews of the travelers , I didn't think twice, I decided to book a family room immediately & they didn't disappoint us. Upon arrival at 1:30 pm of Jan 5 - their staff accommodate us, explain the hotel rules & the inclusion in our booking (including the breakfast) & the mode of payment (FYI-they accept credit card). After that, one of their staff assist us to our room (Room 1 to be exact) & surprisingly the room was spacious, the bed is good, the restroom is clean with towel & toiletries except (toothbrush) and the staff is approachable. We inquire the Island Tour & I saw their willingness to help us. They have their own resto & the food was budget friendly (I love their spicy mix seafood, tinolang manok & the pork sisig you should try them all) though the waiting time is too long but its all worth it. We enjoyed their plaza & the live band.
Very Nice Room and Staffs!”
This is our first time with this hotel with my girlfriend. The room was clean. The staffs is accomodating. The free breakfast is also good! The location of hotel is no hassle because it is so neat at the Lucap Wharf. What a best experience! We really book here again!
It was not pleasant at all.”
The stay was NOT pleasant at all. There is a fire escape ladder connected to the room (202). And the whole evening and early morning, it was very noisy. Staff go up and down the ladder and when they open the metal gate to it and use the ladder, makes a loud screeching noise. Called the attention of the front office but l the employees still used the ladder. We even asked if we could speak to the hotel manager but the manager didn't even bother to speak or apologize to us.
Very rude and arrogant receptionist. Having us waiting for long without checking us in even that we arrived 7 pm. The staff not very helpful. After I talked to the hotel owner he didn't seem to worry about my complaints.
