Best place to stay in El Nido”
I dont understand why this place doesnt have higher ratings. Its just out of town, which is perfect. Town is quite dirty and noisy so you should want to stay outside of town. Islandfront is just a short tricycle ride away (3 minutes?) and just 5 minutes from the beautiful marimegmeg beach which has a lot of beach bars with music en good food. Islandfront is on a beach as well but its very small, narrow and water isnt as clear as it is at marimegmeg. Still, its a beach! We got the seaview room, which was well worth the extra money. Rooms are good and clean, with good aircon. The balcony was very big, with hammock included. The only thing I could say about the room is that the toilet doesnt flush like you would probably like it to. But I found this to be a problem at 99% of the places in El Nido. We extended our stay by 3 nights, we loved it.

Second time around and loving it!”
We have stayed at Islandfront for a second time in six months. The staff have become family and are friendly, considerate and helpful. Being in Corong Corong and at Islandfront is quiet and relaxing. The décor is eclectic and like a hippy gyspy bohemian shabby chic with fun details everywhere and each room unique. They now have a restuarnt beachside and a siple breakfast buffet included in the price. The price is inexpensive relative to other hotels in the area and makes ffor a great value and experience overall.

Booked for two nights - stayed for five ”
Great. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. The owners shared tips and advice on where to go, what to eat and even shared some local sticky rice they bought on market day with us and others. Would highly recommend staying here but be sure to get the ocean view rooms - you can lounge and watch a private sunset while drinking copious amounts of San Miguel's. One warning - it is a 50p (5-10 min) tricycle ride from the heart of el Nido. We weren't planning on staying so far out however you can easily take in all the nightlife you want and flag one of the hundreds of tricycles down to return you home. In the end we abandoned our plans to spend a few nights in El Nido proper as the IsF was too great of a location and value for the money!

Get beachfront and you'll fall in love ”
It is a little noisy being nesr the restaurant and bar when you are oceanfront, and the water there isn't meant for swimming, great for a walk or fun and nearby restaurants. The view outside your room is unbeatable. It's a great bungalow I found so much peace in, and stayed almost a week while doing some day tours. Water an electricirt can come and go. Massage will come to your room, breakfast is included and decent. Many places nesr in corong corong no major need to go to El Nido except tours. Staff is friendly, sometimes hard to find. Rooms are cleaned well when you request

Very good”
The rooms aren't new but they are clean and spacious. Friendly and helpful staff. Island front is a short pedicab ride from the shops, restaurants, and bars. It's far enough away to be quiet and relaxed but close enough to get to anything you want to do quickly. Their WIFI wasn't very good but I found out it was a common problem for that area. If you've traveled to the Philippines before you know there's a possibility for power outages but the islandfront has a backup generator which was nice to see when other places were in the dark.

Family Run Hotel on the Beach”
This accomodation is only 5 minutes and 50 pesos by tricycle from the centre of El Nido. It is right on the beach and you eat your breakfast looking out over the bay. The rooms facing the water have a big balcony and great views. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple but good. Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful area.

Steve C”
Location: Right on the beach and away from the center of El Nido, but not that far. My room faced the bay with a fantastic view of the sunset from my balcony. They might think of improving their breakfasts though. Yes, I would stay here again.

Nice location, ok value for money but terrible staff”
Located at the beginning of Corong-Corong beach, it's a few minutes of tricycle away from El Nido town and directly on the beach (great to enjoy the sunset). Prices in El Nido tend to be high so I guess for what you pay you get a decent package (rooms are big, the bed is not the best I had but Ok and the bathroom is clean enough) The staff is terrible though, any interaction with them and it looks like talking to you is the worst thing they had to do in their lifetime. Avoid eating at the restaurant as it's the longest service I have experienced (and I'm talking Palawan standards). Good midrange option for sleeping, avoid eating and talking to the staff.

Great location without breaking the bank”
Pros + the location was right smack on the beach and for the rate i got for my room, this is a super big plus! + the room i booked had a balcony and a view of the beach + the bed was firm and the resort provided sufficient pillows + towels were provided + walking distance to the Pods district where there are a few restaurants + unlimited instant coffee available in the restaurant + was also pleasantly surprised that my booking came with daily buffet breakfast. If you’re not choosy with food, their breakfast will do the trick. Cons - i am not expecting a lot but a roll of tissue should have been provided - i put up the sign to clean my room, but when i came back after the end of a full day of island hopping, they didn’t do so - staff is helpful depending on who you talk to. I requested for a towel and they said they will bring it to my room. Never got it. These are minor things that can be easily fixed/remedied. Will I stay again? Sure! The pros outweigh the cons anyway.

Good value but needs a bit of love ”
The major draw back of staying at islandfront is the lack of clean running water throughout the day. A group of five split across three rooms, only one shower worked and often we couldn't flush the toilet or wash our hands. Having said that, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Service was painfully slow at times and wifi non existent. The view, however, makes up for everything. I would pay 10 times the amount just for that view. And the location is perfect for island hopping. Town and Las Cabanas beach are 5 mins on a tricycle. We had the best time here but you get what you pay for!

Great location”
The place is good and staff are friendly. Restaurant does not offer much, though. Saw a menu for vegetarian food but the restaurant says they do not offer the vegetarian dish yet. It is better to use mineral water for brushing teeth.

Rat Infested. Big Rats. Do not stay.”
Friendly staff but this hotel is rat infested. (Big rats! One foot long rats.) We were in the room, watching tv when we noticed something running on the ceiling beams. We turned on the lights and to our surprise, it was a very huge rat! (Dagang Kanal) We didn't check feedbacks or reviews prior to booking and we found out that other guests had the same issue while reading the feedbacks. Totally not worth the money, you can get a cleaner hostel/cheaper hotel in the area for the same price. We couldn't check out as they have a no refund policy. We had to stay there for 4 days and 3 nights : ( After seeing the rat, we informed the receptionist immediately and he was nonchalant about it like it was a normal issue for them. He came with us back to the room with a mouse trap. (They have many of these, so it is a normal thing for them) He placed it on top of the cabinet. On the third day, we woke up in the middle of the night because we heard a crying/squeaking sound. The big rat got trapped.

Pleasant but Frustrating.”
I feel the quality of the facilities could have been better for a so-called 4 star hotel. The attention to detail was lacking from some of the staff....being asked all day for a blanket, shells in omlette, running out of breakfast materials. Do not have a room by the restaurant....you will be awoken at 7am every day by loud communal music....not a peaceful start to the day!

Filthy disorganised Joke”
There was no record of our booking made on Agoda when we arrived. Staff are extremely unhelpful, even when presented with our booking confirmation refused to accep that we had a booking. NO water to shower with at all. This is not the case at other establishments in El nido. Very old, threadbare linen that was not clean. Room was a dark hole. Very expensive for what is offered. Advice to traveller: Dont be lazy, venture into the town and it's lovely quiet side streets, there are wonderful, welcoming, clean and affordable places to stay. Islandfront Cottages are a sad, tired joke.

Rooms were good, everything else wasn't. ”
Well, service at this place was really weird actually. We got there at 12 o'clock and didn't expect to be able to check in until 2, which would be fine, but the lady in reception told us our room would be ready soon so we could go wait in the restaurant. After waiting one hour we went to reception to ask about when our room would be ready, and they had obviously forgotten about us but again she said our room would be ready soon. After waiting another 30 minutes we went back to the reception and now she said check in was at 2 pm. If only she had told us that right away. When we got to the room the water wasn't working so we went to reception again and asked what was up, the lady told us to wait, and we did, for 10 minutes, after which she told us that it's the dry season now so sometimes they run out of water. To sum up, rooms quite good, but the service very inconsiderate, they really didn't seem to mind to keep guests waiting a lot, there were always lots of people around the reception area waiting for stuff. The booking also claimed that there's wifi in th rooms, there's not, and the wifi that is available in the reception area is so slow that it is unusable.

Very good”
Accommodating staff. Clean rooms but not too cool a/c. No wifi in rooms & slow wifi in resto. Breakfast buffet served was a 2 in a scale of 1-5. No cockroaches but a rat came to drop by our room :) water heater not functional. Hotel is far from the town proper

Perfect sunsets from beach front room”
From check-in to check-out we felt that the staff was really interested in us. The only negative thing we could say is that the wifi didn't work properly - so don't rely on it!
