An unexpected great hotel”
Close to buses and on to Tube and National Rail. Less than 5 miles or 30 minutes (remember this is busy London) to the center of the city. Great pub just a short walk and many more withing walking distance. Clean and the breakfast is great to get you started. Staff is like family. Tiny room, but perfect for a solo traveler. Be sure to get an Oyster Card!

Terrible Twin Room”
Booked a twin room for my husband and teenage son. The beds were pushed together effectively making it a double. There was no room to separate the beds as the room was too small. In fact even with the beds pushed together it was impossible to get out of the bed on one side because it was too close to the angled wall. My husband and son left their luggage and showered there but ended up sleeping at my mothers house. Very disappointing as I had made a point of booking the standard twin room and not the budget twin room.

Very friendly staff”
I booked a basic room, not realizing that it would be in the basement with no windows. This wasn't a huge problem for me, though as I only needed a place to sleep for the night. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple breads and cereals (not gluten-friendly); however, I originally booked this hotel because it is close (enough) to a gluten-free bakery! Overall, this was a pleasant hotel.

Nice, friendly and helpful STAFF. ”
Staff are helpful. Surprised and Happy that they upgraded me to Budget Single Room with Window. If you only need a place to sleep and private shower/toilet,but pay a comparatively low price, this hotel suits you! Location: Good if you travel by bus. They are close to Bus Station and you can go to various places directly, such as King's Cross, Bond Street.... But not so good if you travel by tube. You need to walk for 20 mins to the closest Tube Station (ANGEL STATION). Room is in fact Tiny. Room is CLEAN but the decorations are OLD.

Cozy place just overpriced for the size of the room”
The location of the hotel is just perfect... close by 2 underground stations and bus stops. Walking around up to angel street is just a 15 minute walk. Hotel is suitable for a solo traveler who just wants a clean bed at the the end of the day.

Pleasant stay, helpful staff”
We were upgraded to a family room when we booked a double, this was great as we had lots more space. Facilities were adequate, room was basic but had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was continental- although we didn't expect much more but did the job. Location wise is about 20-30 min walk from the tube station- not ideal if carrying luggage. Overall was pleasantly surprised and would stay again.

Gas Installation”
The staff was great, the shower was lovely, and the location was pretty nice.
We were in the basement, which I suppose I should have expected for The price I paid, but it was dark and a bit creepy and extremely musty. I understand they are undergoing renovations though, so that may have been part of their process. Gas was being installed close to our bathroom, and there was a sign warning us not to use our cellphones in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, the price was good, and the location was good. The amenities were also good. Just try to get a room above ground.

Very noisy hotel”
Breakfast starts at 8am but I had to leave at 6.45am and the receptionist was kind enough to make me a coffee.
I only spent a night at the hotel and I slept really bad. Although I had asked for a quiet room, there was too much noise coming from the road (bus stop just opposite the hotel). The floor is pretty creeky and the walls are paper thin and I was awake twice, at 2am and 4am when the people staying in the rooms next door arrived. I had to wake up at 6am to go to Stansted and I had hardly slept at all. To top it up I couldn´t shower because there was no hot water!
