Pros: - Excellent location - 10 minutes walk from Myeongdong shopping district, Namdaemun shopping district, Shinsekai and Lotte Departmental stores. 7 minutes walk from nearest train station. Wide range of good restaurants nearby that open till late. - Fantastic amenities provided in the hotel (laundry facilities, ice water dispenser) and in the room (big HD TV screen which allows casting, and also good wifi) - Decent sized room, carpeted floor and comfortable bed. - Good city view. Grateful to hotel staff for agreeing to provide a room on highest floor - Excellent service provided by hotel staff. I was travelling with my fiancee and planned a surprise proposal for her in the hotel room. Hotel staff went out of the way to decorate our room with balloons and ribbons; and also to take photos for us - all done perfectly on short notice. Kudos to them! Staff was also willing to answer questions anytime and provided helpful travelling advice Cons: - Fridge was not working very well

Literally surrounded by authentic Korean local restaurants!”
This time I traveled Seoul with my family and we chose aFirst Myeongdong because of its great reviews of the location and facilities - and it did not disappoint us! We didn't have problem with restaurants as the hotel is literally being surrounded by a lot of local korean restaurants. It's a food haven as corporate employees working nearby have lunch in this area. Only a few meters away from the hotel: - Convenience stores (711 and GS25) - Subway Eul jiro (4) - Starbucks and Holly's Cafe (Local Coffee Shop) - A public park with different maple and ginko trees - where I took photos of the beautiful foliage! - ARC n BOOK - a famous library and bookstore - Cheonggyecheon stream - Burger King - McDonalds - GongCha - Police Station Myeongdong Shopping area can be accessed by foot as well. Though it's like a 10 minute walk to get there but still, you don't have to take a bus or train! Feels so good to walk around! Thanks to the staff who always clean our room!

Great location for food and shopping”
Walking distance to Myeongdong shopping district (Euljiro station side) and near Namdaemun market where we bought cosmetics and cheap snacks to take home. There's also a Lotte Duty Free nearby. The hotel is surrounded by all kinds of restaurants (seafood, grilled meat, chicken barbecue, etc.) so you'll never run out of choices and that was great for our group. Our room was clean and had enough space for our luggages. Staff was helpful and allowed us to extend our stay for a very reasonable fee. We'll definitely book here again!

The room is so nice and clean. Staffs are friendly. The location is superb! Just few steps from Myeongdong and Cheonggyecheon steam. Very near from subway station.

Like the hotel for the following: - relatively new (3 years) and well furnished - comes with gym and laudromat (2 x washer and dryer @ 3000 ₩ each. Machines in good condition) - clean For those who might want to stay close to Myeongdong, this might still require about 10min walk. The other slightly negative part of their location is that it is near some business buildings and restaurants where there might be their working group who might be hanging around for dinner and drink so some people might not feel comfortable. But for me, I'm ok with this. Find the good furnishing and amenities at that price well made up for this.

No communication problem during stay, all the front desk staff speak fluent in English & Mandarin. Managed to find back my lost item and able to respond to me in a short time. For food lover, here is a great place to look for Korea Traditional food. Suggest for improvement: mount a cloths hook in the room.

Value for Money: We got a good deal for a triple room since this is off-peak (summer) season. Still it was a steal compared to other hotels. Location: The hotel is situated in Myeongdong but not in the shopping area which is about a 10-15 min walk for a big guy like me. Very convenient to walk to the nearest metro or bus stop. There are nearby 7/11 or GS 25 stores, near drinking places. The only thing that irked me was when getting a cab from the Myeongdong shopping district though near the access to the hotel is from only one-side so your car-ride could actually be longer than walking or about the same. Cleanliness: Hotel is new, nice and clean. I love the smell when you enter the lobby, smells like teeming plant life in a good way. Staff: Only encountered staff in the lobby. Generic, helpful but not too informative or cordial to be a factor to your trip. Facilities: Just visited the lobby and hallways. Lobby got seats and space. Clean Water/Ice station in your floor.

Great hotel”
Just spent 10 days at the hotel. Everything about the hotel was A+ except one little issue in the beginning but was quickly resolved. From easy of finding, check in, daily service, facility to check out was all great and as expected. It’s continently located close to many busy stops, subway station and easy walking distance to Myeongdong, city hall..etc. *one quickly resolved issue. So apparently hotel has central air that is controlled by them and not the control in the room. First night, temperature never went below 25c(77F)even tho thermostat was set to 22c, which was too hot for me to sleep, especially since it’s so humid this time of the year. Next morning I spoke to front desk and they “lowered” the setting to the room. Rest of the stay was set at comfortable 22c(71F). In summer, When you check in and you don’t feel the room cooling after about 10 mins, you’ll probably have to request to adjust the temperature. Overall, I would stay again.
