I could hear almost everything from downstairs and the soundproof was extremely poor. It's quite smelly from the bedsheets and wasn't really a comfortable stay...

Pro: The family room was big enough for the group and it was clean. Cons: -No elevator and the staircase was very narrow. It's very difficult to bring our luggage to the highest floor (i think 4th floor where family room is located), and again bring it back down upon check out. No assistance from the hotel as there is only one person managing the whole hotel (receptionist). - It's difficult to communicate with the receptionist, which I think is also because of language barrier. -Breakfast is as simple as bread and egg and we still have to wake up the receptionist to have our breakfast ready. We have to wait for our breakfast to be cooked by the receptionist as well. -Aircon in the room does not cool fast. We have to wait for a long time for the whole room to be cooled. -The location - not good as it is inside an alley. Not as expected from the pictures posted.

I booked the room for my friend, and she was so happy when staying here, good location(dist 1), , helpful staff, good price and a wonderful room ( friend had sent me some room photo)

Good stay would reccommend for the budget traveler and backpacker. Only complaint was this time That Miew was asleep at front desk due to the sun one day. She didnt even notice me entering but there was another staff inside so ok , security was fine .

Nice family room but that’s it”

Pros: - huge beautiful room with 2 kings on top floor - nice staff - WiFi good - good bread and eggs breakfast but only one choice every morning - in an alley so very quiet. You don’t hear the cars noises. ( just the neighbors’s dog and chicken are annoying) Cons: - no elevators; steep stairs - they lock the front like a garage door at night. So if you wake up early you are trapped inside unless you wake them up which is a bum - poor surroundings ; not a nice area to walk around There are better locations out there in Ho Chi Minh.

Family room is located at the fifth floors and no lift. It is hot in the noon as the room is additional built up?( it is not concrete wall). Although the room is big, but the design of room is not professional. But, overall, it has good location and the stuffs are friendly.

High Value Stay & Experience with Alleyway Home”

We were travelling with 4 kids, and booked a family room for 2 nights. The room was surprising spacious and clean, with air conditioning prepared for us on our arrival. The staff is friendly and prepared full set of breakfast for each of us. There are eateries that served nice local and affordable food situated in a decent and friendly neighborhood. There is a huge supermarket across the street where we visited and bought many local items. We highly recommend Alleyway Home for the value and price that we paid. Our only feedback for future travelers is to travel lighter as there are no lifts present at Alleyway Home, which is the norm in most hostels in Vietnam.

The homestay is awesome, the staff is super nice and friendly. The location is really good, short walk to a lots of interesting place. The bed is comfortable, has curtains, a own power slot and light. This place is clean, the breakfast is really good. I would recommend this homestay.

Everything is good except the wifi. My room was on the 1st floor and the wifi signal was very poor.It worked fine with phone but computers couldn't connect. I had to stay in the lobby to use the wifi. Apart of that, everything was good, staff was helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned everyday.

Not worthy with price”

First impression, outside the hotel is pretty good. Wifi is quite ok. However, my room didn't have TV, soap, toothbrush as well as toothpaste. I could be requested, but it is not my responsibility. No parking area, no breakfast voucher.

I had a great experience at Ayutthaya Antique Homestay. The room was in an old traditional Thai-style wooden house and was kept absolutely spotless. The room had a great AC and warm shower. The internet worked well. In the common area they had a TV and a pleasantly comfortable rocking chair. By far the best part of the stay was the friendly owners who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and informative. I highly recommend a visit.

Difficult assess during early morning, dark surroundings inside the guest house ”

The reception hall (downstairs) had no lights on at all and the door was closed during early morning, and a guy was sleeping at the sofa. So weird! We wanted to go out in a rush, in the end had to wake the guy up to open the door. Wasted our time. No kettle, no toiletries and no breakfast prepared early in the morning (before 7.45am) as we had to go out before 6.45am so didn't get to enjoy the so-called free breakfast. The staff didn't show some help to make any compensation for us. The lights outside our room was turned off too. I was thinking...shouldn't a guest house be as bright as possible? Why did they save such necessary electricity? No safety lock in the room too. The only one reason I booked this guest house was because the room design looked good, and it's indeed the same as the picture, not bad. Space is quite large. That's the only thing I liked. Nothing else. Overall rate: 4/10.

Amazing family room, great staff”

We are travelling with our three young children. The family room is the best room we have stayed in, in Asia. It's huge! Sparklingly clean and bright. We liked it so much that we extended our stay. If you're a family and can get this room, you won't regret it (I spent hours looking at other places and so glad we found this place). Staff gave kids gifts and couldn't have been nicer! All positive. Will definitely return. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
