Excellent stay and great location”
We stayed at Ben Thanh Retreats for two nights. It was a great experience. The hotel is in a small alley off the main roads. This makes it slightly harder to find but means that it was very quiet and we could have a nice lie in after a long flight. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. All the facilities were clean and in good working order. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and came with lovely Vietnamese coffee. There are loads of cafes and restaurants in the area and all the visitor attractions are within walking distance. We would definitely stay at Ben Thanh again when visiting HCMC.

Me and my partner spent two nights here when we first arrived in Vietnam. We loved our stay and booked again when we returned to Ho Chi Minh City on our way back to the UK. This time we stayed for three nights and, once again, had a great time. The location is excellent. It's very close to shops, restaurants and attractions but at the same time quiet so you get a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff were very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was some of the best we had during our stay in Vietnam. We loved this place and would highly recommend to anyone!

This hotel has been, hands down, the best stay we’ve had in Asia. From the warm greeting from the hosts, to the spotless cleanliness and location, to the extensive and delicious breakfast options... Ben Thành Retreats was comfortable, meeting our needs and then some! As we’ve travelled through Asia it has been a challenge to find somewhere able to do this~ Usually finding one or more things that did not quite meet up to the expectations we had based on what they advertised. This was definitely not the case here. Somehow they even managed to be close to everything while being tucked away in a quiet little alley. If you have an opportunity to book here do it!

I've stayed at quite a few Saigon hotels (I used to live in one of them '100 years ago' but that's another story). For this price range, I feel pretty certain you can't find anything even close to being as nice. It's well-located, really clean, modern, friendly, secure and super quiet even though it's very close to everything in District 1. Yen and her husband run the place and serve a very nice breakfast each morning. Oh, and the bed was really comfortable; everyone thinks about that. I was in Vietnam for 2 weeks on this trip and it was my favorite place even though I stayed at a a couple of places that cost twice as much.

Great country, great people and a great hotel”
Staying at this hotel with the service that we received added to the great experience we had in Vietnam. The people who run this hotel are the friendliest people you will meet and they will go out there way to help you. I can’t sum up in words how much we appreciated their help and efforts to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The only bit of information that would be useful for future customers is that there appears to be a curfew at 12am or so, so be sure to get back by then or else the hotel front might be locked, which requires you to ring the bell and wake one of the staff members up. They sorted us out with tours on consecutive days and so saved us the hassle of doing this ourselves and they even did our laundry for us! I was sad to leave as I loved my experience in Vietnam so much but I definitely want to return and come back to this hotel as well!

Great Boutique Hotel with FABULOUS breakfast!”
I've been travelling to HCMC for the past four years regularly and so happy to have found the marvelous hotel. It's a bit off the main road which cuts down on noise, but is right where all the action is. The innkeepers are really friendly and accommodating. When my flight was cancelled, I was able to get a different room for a reasonable price. The hotel is super clean and you must NEVER miss breakfast because it is glorious.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The staff were very attentive, gave us good clear directions and helpful advice as we were first time travelers to Vietnam. They booked us a day tour as well as our departing bus from HCMC. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the cute alley from our balcony. The breakfast was awesome and made fresh to order. Highly recommend this hotel!

This little hotel is great. The room was all new and beautifully done. Extremely clean. Lovely comfortable bed, big walk in shower. The owner and staff are great, so helpful and always around if you want fancy a few free beers and chat in the courtyard! Pho breakfast and coffee was excellent too. Cant fault this place and will definitely be back :)

Beautiful place. Perfect location, well located but in an alley so away from noisy streets. Yen and the whole team are wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with pho, fried rice and noodles available as well as options for those with more western tastes. I would definitely recommend to anyone! :)

Absolutely lovely and most helpful lady is the host! Speaks good english, which is rare is Vietnam! Lovely breakfast, good central location, nice intimate small hotel, and I think it was our best sleep during whole Vietnam trip, as the location was in the end of small narrow street and no noise at all, as elsewhere!

I have never known such hospitality in a hotel! The manager is quite a character, and will go above and beyond for your needs. Can't receommend this hotel more highly enough, and a perfect location, close to everything, but quiet. Zero traffic noise, but note, that is because it is located through some small alleyways, so you're have to navigate them at first, but it's so worth it!

Very clean hotel and very friendly hosts”
The hotel was extremely clean. Awesome! The breakfast meals were freshly cooked and extraordinary good. We talked some time to the couple running the hotel. They spoke a very understandable English and were very nice. They helped us ordering food and cheap rides to the airport. Furthermore, they have a fridge with cold beer in the lobby. Overall, a extremely good hotel in Saigon. The only small negative point is that the hotel is in a very small street and therefore a little bit hard to find.

Located in a quiet alley way close to all of the main points of Saigon. Clean and well appointed rooms with individual touches. Great staff, particularly Yen who looked after me on my last day when I was a little unwell. Will return soon.

Amazing place, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. Room was spacious and comfortable but more importantly it was in a back street away from all the noise! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great too, many options, including fresh fruit at the end. A wonderful experience, will definitely stay again
