Mountains, waterfalls and sunsets. No better place to totally unwind and get away from it all. Wonderful staff, friendly, warm atmosphere and delicious food served. Hikes excellent. Can’t you help to get Mike’s Path fixed again, please? We miss it!

What a fantastic weekend we experienced.”
Reception staff just needed to be clearer on the options and payment structures for the quad bike rides/vouchers. Otherwise the staff throughout the weekend were brilliant and always very polite and helpful. Would LOVE to be back in winter.

Cathedral peak has spectacular views, great activities which will keep you busy for hours, awesome staff who are always friendly & willing to assist and the food is scrumptious, with a huge variety. If you plan on going to Drakensberg, this is the place to be!

Hikes out your hotel door”
Beautiful setting and many hikes right out your door. All food is included in the price and delicious, so in the end it's not too bad for such a nice location.

Your accounting service is unprofessional as it converts & deducts payments unwanted into U$ even if the entire payment process was done in South African Rand. So, the final payment is higher then the approved SA-Rand amount due to currency exchange rates. Very disappointing!

Perfect little getaway in the mountains”
We decided to go on a little getaway for the weekend and we could not have chosen a better place. Cathedral Peak Hotel is hidden away in the beautiful mountains. The service was excellent, the buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner was absolutely delicious and the scenery was stunning. We were even lucky enough to wake to snow on the mountains. Definitely a go to place if you decide to make your way to the Drakensberg.

Location - just perfect. Direct access to the hiking routes. I have lived in the main competitor Champagne Castle and both of these hotels are great View from the public areas is amazing. View from the regular rooms are also good (but good to be upgraded to the rooms with the full view) The restaurant is just great - so delicious food you can't expect from the buffet. Local trout from the farm is super! Cleaning of the room can be better - one day stuff just ignored the bathroom - didn't replace/put in order towels, didn't replace shampoos/shower gel

I absolutely loved my stay at Cathedral Peak. Honestly, 5-star quality food, fabulous location. My only advice is regarding the wellness centre/ spa-very mediocre from a decor and aesthetic point of view. Looked like makeshift house turned into a spa. Definitely roomfor improvement. Otherwise, I fully recommend this establishment.
