BEWARE! This hotel has safety issues”

On first sight a reasonably priced, clean, modern hotel. Arriving early afternoon a quiet afternoon spent relaxing in the room on the 5th floor. A lovely Thai November early evening so I chose to open the windows to let some air into the room. On closing the sliding windows that were directly above the parking area and walkway below the sling window fell from the frame and crashed five floors to the ground below. Luckily no one was underneath as this could have had terrible consequences. I am not concerned with the approach of the hotel staff who asked me to pay for the damage (3500 Baht dropping to 2500 Baht of which Agoda gave me a voucher for 50%of this) but to the shoddy construction and the possible consequences should the square metre of glass and metal frame have hit someone below.

Well located just 2 minutes walk from bus station. To old town there is around 20 minutes walk. All services are close. Clean spacious room with a/c, fridgerator, tv, coffee making possibility. Also some main attractions are closeby.

Really nice cleaned Rooms, The best part was the Breakfast , we wanted to have vegetarian hotel staff asked for the preference while checking in and next morning we were served with so yummy vegetarian breakfast and damn good service. Highly recommended this place .

Acceptable for 1 night”

The room is cheaply designed and a few creepy crawlies needed to be killed during our stay. Reception staff were ok. Breakfast staff were a little friendlier. Breakfast was quite ok. Overall for a one night stay the Chanthaburi Centre is ok. A good choice if you are taking a bus the next morning that leaves from the station which is adjacent (not all buses leave from there). Would I stay again? Perhaps. Ideally I would find something a little more central with more personality!

The location is great and near market and department store. The hotel needs some makeover in bathroom as it stinks and water leaks. Can improve maintenance. Otherwise all good!
