Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per una notte, all'arrivo abbiamo atteso per 30 minuti nella hall per effettuare il check-in, pur non essendoci gente in coda; c'era la possibilità di servirsi dell'acqua fresca ma ahimé i bicchieri odoravano molto di rinfrescume. La camera piccola e la pulizia lasciava poco a desiderare, visto che nella doccia abbiamo trovato una saponetta usata dai visitatori precedenti nel porta sapone compresa di peli e schiuma... disgustoso. La notte si è passata quasi insonne per un rumore fastidioso che proveniva dall'esterno, forse il motore di qualche condizionatore. La colazione non era compresa nel prezzo ma a parte, abbastanza ricca. Quando abbiamo scelto il tavolo e ritornati al buffet per prendere dell'altro ci sono ritrovata

the rooms were perfectly comfortable. I got to the hotel after 10pm and as it was during the lockdown, curfew time was 10pm and there was no where for me to get food from, the vending machine had noodles!! and the staff was kind enough to let me use the microwave in their kitchen to prepare my food :) this made me SO happy!! I will definitely return

I was very happy to arrive at the lodge after a long travelling. The reception welcomed me so friendly. I was offered a double single room instead of a double bed. The hotel assistants were so friendly to give me options of changing the room however the lodge was fully booked. I enjoyed the cleanness of my room, the efficient parking , the location ,breakfast and the staff made me feel home.

City lodge hotel Durban was the perfect fit for us. Cleanliness, comfort esthetics and functionality made our stay very compatible. After spending a long day around the city visiting various attractions, it was nice to come back to a hotel that met and exceeded or expectations. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be using this hotel again. Thank you. You guys rock!

Hotel is clean and neat, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are sanitized and freshened everyday, shower was amazing 👌there was tea and coffee available in the room.. I would definitely be BOOKING the CITY LODGE again 🙏👍

Best place to stay for the holiday ”
It is close to the the beach, walking distance and to ushaka marine, that hotel staff was very friendly even the security guards, but had people smoking in the next room it affected my child but otherwise I had a great experience, they should be strict on the smoking in the rooms

Thank you to the friendly staff for making the stay pleasant. The facilities are modestly stylish so great for the overnight stay that I needed. The room was clean and the linen super clean and crisp. The service was friendly and the waitress Nonhlanhla was a very courteous and attentive hostess.

The place is very nice and close to the beach, it's a walking distance. Wifi is very good for uploading pictures and memory taken.

Had some very bad problems in the beginning with 2 bookings that I made on the hotel website. Got arrested for payment over 6 times. Made arrangements to pay upon arrival. At all was OK. However again 3 days before my arrival date I got called and emailed that my reservation will be cancelled if I don't to payment within 48Hours...end up cancelling the reservation with the hotel. Very difficult to believe that I have so many calls and NO INFO was shared between the staff. End up making the booking for my new stay with Agode direct and did not have any of this problems at all. Have to point out that Fiona at reception was very friendly and extremely helpful upon arrival. She did apologise for all the problems with the first 2 bookings. However this is not her problem. I think if the first person made a note of everything in the system none of this would have happened in the first place Love the room and the hotel facilities. Only problem that I had is with the bar/restaurant staff on Monday evening. The guy is not very friendly or helpful. Has a very bad attitude almost like he is doing you a big favour by helping you!! Management need to look into this. Training on basic people skills goes a long way.Good evening. Smile and just a little bit of help when asking about the menu will go a long way. After all this is his job... However the breakfast staff are completely different in the morning. Friendly good morning and smiling all the way. Ready to welcom you and make you feel at home. Maybe the gentleman can learn from this ladies. Will recommend the hotel for sure. Only thing I would say they need to work on is communication between themselves so that the guest don't get none stop unnecessary calls from 6 difficult people. The same with the emails. As this is very annoying and also unprofessional.
