Another win for Dormy Inn”
I usually don't pay any attention to the name brand of a hotel when I travel. But I stayed at Dormy Inn in Fukuoka and at the Seoul Garosugil location and when I saw this new location with the price, I jumped to book it for my recent trip to Seoul. Dormy Inn is a Japanese company. Not surprising, the rooms are small but clean and new. I'm willing to have a smaller room for the price they offer (I'm still surprised I paid around $50 a night here in the middle of Gangnam). The bed was comfortable. Glad they don't have the firm Asian style bed like some hotels. Like the other Dormy Inns, you get the free complimentary ramen at night which I took advantage of a couple of times. But, what I really like about Dormy Inn, is they have a spa/sauna. Maybe some people don't care, but I like to use it after a long day of walking around the city. Another plus is this hotel is right next door to Hotel Novotel which has a KAL Bus Stop which is so convenient. You don't need to fly on KAL to use.

Amazing hotel with amazing facilities! ”
Our overall experience here was amazing on top of amazing! Great facilities- had free spa and sauna, free noodles at night, variety at buffet breakfast Pros: very clean hotel, kind and professional staff, had welcome drinks, great location in the Gangnam area, within walking areas to subway and convenient stores, great amenities and facilities that could be used for free, amazing view over part of Seoul Cons: slightly smaller room for the price paid, there is a slight slope to get to the hotel from the station which may be tiring for some This hotel was our favourite one on this trip, granted it was more expensive. Thank you to Dormy Inn and their staff for the amazing stay!

Great hotel”
This hotel is excellent in terms of the services they offer for free - free shuttle bus (covering two different routes), free noodles at night, free laundry, free spa/sauna! The hotel is well located within walking distance to Sinnonhyeon Station, and if you don't mind walking around 15 minutes, you will be able to reach Gangnam Station. For restaurants, there is a street called Gangnam Station Food Street, which is on your left just before you reach Sinnonhyeon Station (there is a sign). There are an endless amount of restaurants here, including all you can eat hotpot and BBQ for $25AUD per person! On the other side of the road, there are also more dining options, however, there are more bars and pubs on that side. The hotel offers an excellent spread for breakfast, but, if you're on a budget, I'd only recommend doing it once, and then, exploring other options on your own! Staff are nice, but it would be good to have more staff who can speak English fluently, however, they do try!

Truly Outstanding”
They have thought of everything at this hotel. Best of all, the staff are professional, competent and friendly. The amenities put some five star hotels to shame, especially the onsen in the basement, where I spent a lot of time soaking in hot water. The daily free coffee, evening ramen and free shuttle to Myongdong were greatly appreciated, and it was great that all the guests could swan about the hotel in the provided pyjamas every night. The rooms were very small, but well equipped and well insulated. I could barely hear the traffic or other guests, and even when I turned the heater off, the room only cooled by a couple of degrees over night. The room also had a humidifier and air purifier, and, of course, a Japanese toilet with a console like the starship Enterprise. I asked about pillows at reception, and was offered a variety of pillows to choose from. This hotel should be a model for other hotels to follow. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Fabulous hotel”
We loved this hotel from the minute we arrived. Super clean hotel, very courteous staff. The room wasn't massive but adequate for the 2 of us. Loved the Japanese style toilet seat with build in bidet and dryer. Very good facilities in hotel room, safe, kettle, teabags, fridge. Buffet breakfast was amazing and the complimentary night time Sona noodles. Also loved the spa and the free washing machine facilities (small fee for dryer). Will definitely come again x

Its located at shinnonhyun station which is 10-15mins away from gangnam station by foot. Quite, clean room, staffs are always nice! Really enjoyed it. I see price is super high most of the times if you dont book super early or find a deal. I got great deal this time and it was definitely worth it. If it was too high as normal price then i think i might not wanna spend that much money for the location.

Brilliant hotel, location and onsen!”
I stayed at the Dormy Inn for 3 nights. Executive double room, which was a good size for a solo traveller. The hotel is in a convenient location to explore Seoul, with two subway stations in walking distance 5-7 mins. You can also walk to Gangham in about 15 mins. The staff were friendly and helpful. From Incheon, take the airport limousine bus and drop off at Novotel Ambassador which is right next door to Dormy Inn. The best part of the hotel is the sauna/onsen which was the best way to relax after wandering around Seoul. Highly recommended.

I fell sick while I was there (week of chuseok) and asked the staff to get me a cab to the nearest available doctor. The reception lady had to call a few hospitals to make sure they are open before getting me into a cab and then giving instructions to the driver. When I returned, she asked if I was better and helped to arrange the same room for my extended 1-night stay. Besides the lovely staff, the room was great with a nice view, and there are refreshments at the ground floor lounge, ramen at the restaurant at night, good spa facilities and shuttle bus service.

This hotel is situated between Seoul Metro Station Line 9 you can drop down either Sinnonhyeon (exit 4 or 8??) or Eonju (exit 4 or 8??) - don't remember the exit is not directly in Gangnam district but is within a reasonable walk distance Free shutter bus service to Gangnam from 8am - 9am Free shutter bus service to Garosugil/ Myeongdong/Seoul Station - 9:30am - 16:00pm Airport Limousine Bus is also available next to Dormy Inn Gangnam Hotel **Ticket can be pay by T-money which is South Korea transportation top card Customer Service were excellent and efficient

Super value hotel”
I like this hotel because they have a great buffet breakfast with variety of choices and very good quality of food. Free ramen for supper and wonderful onsen and sauna. In the hotel has free laundry, and dryer (with cost). The hotel room is very new, the room size is adequate. Hotel staff is very polite. The airport limousine bus has stop by the next hotel Novotel ambassador. 5 mins walk to metro entrance.

I booked this hotel based on reviews and price. It is close to the train and many shops and restaurants but off the main strip so quiet. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The onsen was great - don't forget to take your towel! There is also tasty noodle soup offered for free every night. I only had the breakfast buffet one day but it was very good as well. There is free washing machines in the basement. Dryers are only w500. I might stay in a neighborhood further north next time for the things I like to do but if you need to stay in this area it's an excellent choice.

The staff were good at speaking Japanese that was greatly helpful for me. Bathroom (Spa) was clean so I was satisfied very much. Kimuchi was delicious with Yonaki-soba noodle.I definitely choose this hotel when I travel South Korea!!

Excellent place to stay in Seoul”
My 8-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Dormy Inn Seoul Gangnam so much that we kept talking about it for a month after our vacation. Everything in this hotel was well thought. The location is perfect for foodies. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in our next visit!

Great hotel BUT”
I usually stay at dormy inn whenever I visit gangnam, but this time my bed was different. There was only one hard pillow on the bed and the bed itself was very hard. Also you can hear the other room in the middle of the night. Also for the breakfast buffet the price went up by $2. Breakfast was ok. It was better before

I stayed here twice - before and after a trip to Busan. The hotel was kind enough to hold onto our luggage, when we went away for two nights. Please see my other review for other details. This is a hotel I would recommend, if you were interested in staying in Gangnam!

Loved the onsen available for guests - it was relaxing way to start or end the day! The ramen in the evening delicious. Loved the breakfast. Super convenient for subway & shuttle to different parts of town. Highly recommend!!!

EXCELLENT HOTEL ”
Everything was 100/100. The hotel truly blew my mind in terms of the amount of detail and side facilities like shuttle bus, hot spring, night ramen, free laundry etc that they add to their services. Hotel is so clean and staff extremely helpful. Only bad part was the location where the hotel is surrounded by roads of a steep inclines and it was quite a workout climbing up with luggages. But everything else made up for this shortcoming!!
