best pool, great views of and walking on the beach”

the beach isnt so much for swimming here, but you can walk around and watch it. this resort is the only one on this beach. the resort is nice, has some swings in the trees, a great communal restaurant area, no wifi in the rooms (which we like!) and famiillies to stay. It is very nice and quiet.

Awful service ”

The worst service I’ve experienced on Koh Phangan, and Thailand in general. Didn’t get any sleep all night because we were next to the parking and people were coming back drunk all night, and then the dogs (which belonged to the property) started howling at 4.30am and didn’t stop. We complained and asked to move the next morning but were met with a shrug, and basically ‘I don’t care’. We tried to rent a motorbike but there were none, told we could get one later but then later there also weren’t any. Nobody told us we could get one from the shop a five min walk away, which would have saved a lot of time. The location is ok but the road to it is dodgy and it’s far to walk anywhere. We didn’t use the pool or the restaurant. The room smelt awful and wasn’t very clean.

A lovely bay marred by multiple rooms in concrete construction that scar the landscape and looks like it's imposing on the bay. The resort is a dream for anyone with a family because of its sheltered bay and the lovely staff - together with a nice child-friendly swimming pool. However the travellers booking it need to be aware that there are broken concrete tables and benches on the property and the fixtures and fittings are in dire need of an upgrade. Flourscent lighting throughout, more fitting for a morgue rather than such a heavenly secluded spot.

Your own thai-paradise! Intimate family-runned resort with private beach and nice bungalows. All the comforts available: thai massages, good food (european and thai), very friendly staff (Chang and his family are great!), air conditioner, taxi services, touristic info and organized tours. The position is perfect if you want to visit Koh Phangan west side (20 min of bike from Thong Sala, 10 from Chaloklum). Not the best if you just want to party in Haad Rin (you better not!).

It's a tourist trap!”

This property is located in a very dificult and hard to get area, the road got washed away with the rain, even the taxi driver refused to drive us down to the reception area, so we had to walk at night with out light on a muddy road, is far away from restaurants bars and convenience stores. The Bungalows need mejor repairs. (no hot water, doors falling off the hinghes, poor lights in common areas, stinky matresses pillows and sheets, insects everywhere) Family owned and operated restaurant with high prices menu.

Terrible bungalow ”

I got the cheap fan bungalow, so hot, bad noisy mattress, mosquito and cockroach, dingy bath room. Locks on wooden sliding windows broken, so anyone could get in, noisy fan. Hotel was hard to find, down a steep dirt track dodgy on a scooter, nothing is really walking distance. Really friendly owners, some dogs about, nice grounds set on a private beach, not really swimming beach though. I paid for 3 nights and left after 2.

Pleasant stay at Haad Tian Beach Resort”

We stayed a little bit over a week at the Haad Tian Beach Resort in one of the entree level bungalows. The surroundig was pretty tranquil. When we wanted more action we rented the resort's scooter. The Thai and international dishes were very good although not the cheapest on the island. The staff was cool. Some days more enthausiastic than others. The pool is very nice and the pool area offers enough space to enjoy the sun. We recommand this place for people who want to relax on the island.

First night terrible in small Bungalow with fan! -Never-ever!!!. After we pay 160b. Another with AC, bigger,TV, hot water it was good. But Its a quite, sad, place so we move forward...

the suppost "resort" is on the middle of nothing!!we had to rent a car because if you try to go there by motorbike you will have an accident!! the staff try to take all the money possible from you.the bungalow was so small, we just arrived and i wanted to leave!!the pool if green!!!they don't clean the pool since loooong time, the beach is in fron is full of contamination, in a hots days you can't stay there!!! for our last day we pay the taxi in the "resort" 200 baht per person x2 in the night we spoke again about the time that they will pick up us next day, the next day we left the car in the place where we rent and after to wait more than 30 for the taxi(taxi was a service from ressort), this didn't come, we call the "ressort" , no one answer!!! and we have to spend money in another taxi, i am still waiting for my money that we paid for the taxi ot at least an e-mail saing sorry!! is an horrible person living there and working, they don0t give you even a bottle of water in the bungalow!!they should to close this suppost ressort!!!!

Perfect for quiet travel and private”

I had an amazing time here. It of course depends on what you want, and I found what I was looking for at Haad Tian: Quiet, relaxed, private beach, few people, good food, great staff, private comfy bungalow sea side, close to town but not in it. plus the price for what I got out of this couldn't be better! Highly recommended when you are looking for the same thing.

We ran away!”

Location is very far away from anything and you are basically in the jungle. There's a very very bad dirt road full of holes (trust me, i'm driving motorcycles and i've seen bad roads). The standard bungalow is just horrible! Dirty toilet full of bugs, no net on the window, super small and smelly! We basically slept in our sleeping bags and ran away in the morning! We also saw other bungalows which looked much better, but those were not the standard ones. We found a full mansion for 50% price of Haad Tian bungalow, much closer to the town (even though it was the peak season (few days before new year). Don't go to the standard bungalow, it's just waste of money! And, of course, we didn't get any refund back.

it all depends on what you want. we stayed here because we wanted somewhere to get awa from it all we didnt want all the party life if we did we would have stayed over the other side of the island. what we wanted was a nice beach bungalow with a nice view that i can swing in a hammock and have a few beers and that what we got. the sunset is one of the best ive ever seen and will alwayys stay in my memory forever. i had booked a garden buungalow but once we got here we moved to a beach bungalow instead it was well worth the upgrade. the rooms are a bit simplistic but like i said ealier thats what we were looking for

A lovely stay”

You will need a motorbike if you are staying at this resort, you can easily hire them from the reception, it's the best way to get around the island but also it's easier to get up and down the hill to get to your stay. It's a rocky beach, but it's a 5 minutes walk to another beach you can swim in and the pool is nice, best for children. You will be able to find a lot of nice beaches on the scooter. The staff was also friendly and we got a decent deal on our room.

Overall below average. While it is a nice secluded spot, the road is treacherous. The resort area is small and secluded so you will want to venture off the property to explore the island. The road is not conducive to getting in and out- so you need transportation. Motorbiking is an affordable option but the road is treacherous...resort rented us poor quality bike, brakes, tires and I fell driving as carefully as I could. Yes the beachfront and pool are pretty but the pool, which you pay a premium for on this island, was filthy for several days of our stay. Mixed review from a family that loves and knows Thailand well. Service was mediocre, they need more staff to keep this place going.

Good if anybody is looking for isolation...”
