Interesting layout - great price”
I arrived on a Sunday. There is no reception on Sunday. I had to call the number posted on the door to get an access code. Once inside I had to call again to get my key card.However, this was quick and easy. My single room was lovely - nice kitchenette, private bath. The price was half the cost of other hotels. I would definitely stay here again!

Bad outweighed the good”
It is commendable how a hotel operates without a physical person. Throughout our weekend at HELLsten, there was no one to assist us, except for a 24 hour phone which connects to another Hellsten hotel. (We left something at the hotel after checking out and were able to retrieve it over the phone with a machine which automates cards). However, hospitality can never be complete without a physical person to assist its guests. For one, someone knocked our door thrice late in the night for no apparent reason. While we suspected that it might be a clueless guest, there is no reason a guest should be required to entertain questions of another guest. As there was no peephole through the door, we did not open the door for fear it could be a dangerous person. Has there been a physical attendant present, such an incident would never have occured. Furniture was not clean and outdated. Kettle was rusty and cardboard was used as a makeshift cover for a ventilator.

The hotel has a facilities to cook so we were able to save money and cook our own foods especially breakfast..

I enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend . Budget but convinient in all senses: easy to find , location is amazying , silent street in the city center , right by the parliament and national museum , clean , easy self service on the weekends, great touristic support on the reception. clean! Very clean!

Nice quiet hotel.”
We enjoyed the short stay in this quiet hotel. A little difficult to locate initially, as we got lost in the maze of small roads. Should have use the museum as a guide! It is also close to the fantastic Kiasma museum - 5 mins walk. Internet was a little finicky from our unit. Need the ?LAN line.

Location is good for the price paid as compared to the city center hotels pricing. It is slightly off the city center (10 min walk in the cold weather is acceptable). Trams and airport shuttle(Finnair coach) stops around the area. Recommended for travellers with light baggages as a little distance required if taking public transport. Note that house keeping is only on certain days of the week. Quality of mattress could be improved.

It was okay, room is decent and complete with usual things for an apartment to have. Location is just a stone throw from Helsinki central railway.

This hotel is highly recommended to anyone whom is travelling in Helsinki, looking for great location near city centre and at the same time affordable pricing. The inhouse kitchenette is a great feature for travellers, e.g. family with kids, whom wishes to prepare food.

Great Rooms and Good Location”
good location with about 10 minutes walk from the central station. tram station is just next to the main road about 5 minutes. sauna is free. booking is required. rooms are clean and comfortable. breakfast is fair. however, there were mosquito in the room. and the car are sometimes noisy to my 1/f room.
