Incredible Location, and amazing service from the staff at the hotel”
Newly opened hotel at the time of this review with an amazing location right in the heart of Myeongdong. Advantages: - Very clean and newly designed hotel. - Location - access to eateries opposite hotel front entrance (BHC and others), including the Myeongdong food carts and stalls - a 2 min walk away. - Access to main shopping laneways - 2 mins walk from the hotel. - Seoul Station to the hotel - 10 min taxi. - Room sizes were very adequate for a couple with 1-2 luggages each. - Service of all staff Disadvantages: - N/A Note: - One of our taxi driver's couldn't easily navigate to the hotel from the main road. - Special mention to the staff member who assisted us with booking a 5am taxi upon departure and located my personal items that were left behind and ensure they were delivered safely. This is an amazing hotel!”
This hotel is centrally located, in the middle of myeongdong where all the street food and endless shops is within a short walk. The rooms are well appointed, well deserving of their award for best small luxury hotel. The check in and check out process was done in less than 3 minutes, the housekeeping staff delivered the cleanest rooms everyday. The best part about this hotel is their people. On our vacation, we lost our camera in the taxi we rode in going to one of the palaces. The concierge of the hotel, located the taxi and brought back our camera. Thank you Nancy for your help, although our camera was old, it contained irreplaceable memories and photos. When we visit Seoul again, we will definitely stay at this hotel. Exceptional service, this is what a hotel should be!

Best location with great service”
The hotel was a building of its own with some nice restaurants like DingTaiFung and shops like ABC mart. We enjoyed guests discounts with our hotel card. I bought Fila white sport shoes at 15%off (58650krw = 51usd) so much cheaper than SG retail! Hotel staff are very friendly and polite. They even gave us complimentary face mask due to air pollution. Our room is clean, big & with bathtub. We booked a twin room. No city view though but the complimentary mini bar compensates it. 2min away from limo bus drop off point and 1min away from myeongdong shopping street! I love this stay and will directly come back the next time.

The hotel has the best location in myeongdong! ”
Highly recommended! This hotel has one of the best rooms I’ve stayed in during my travels. It’s also perfectly located in the heart of myeongdong. Restaurants and groceries and convenience stores and coffee shops as well as the big department stores are simple a few steps away. The nearest subway station is also very near. Maybe the only thing that they lack is the food choices that they serve in the daily breakfast buffet. Customers need more choices. They should come up with a menu cycle like a 5 day cycle because customers need more food choices. We stayed in the hotel for 6 days 5 nights and the food is always the same. The hotel should also feature some authentic korean breakfast items. Customers would love that. People need to eat. And if you’re happy with your breakfast, that’s a plus. Overal the hotel is fantastic. You also get to consume everything in the minibar for free! And they refill it. You get 2 beers, 2 cans of soda, a pack of pretzel, bottled waters and Perrier.

Dear Hotel 28, At first, i have no clue about your hotel, but when I arrived, you really made my day and wrap-up the entire visit to Korea. Not only because of your hotel interior design but also your staff and the way your hotel rooms was designed, thumbs up to all those. Your hospitality beats those bigger hotels with star ratings, no one of those can really beats u on the hospitality services, you hv a very well trained staff and very accommodating to my request and I can see they are passionate in handling their guests, good eye contacts, good body language and good communicators. Well i cant say much, but its really worth it staying at your hotel. I am definitely come back again and will surely recommend your hotel to my friends and families. FEEL AT HOME AT HOTEL 28 Myeongdong ”
When we planned our trip to Seoul Korea, I ran through the list of recommended hotels and I saw Hotel 28. We checked google maps, and found the location very interesting along with the reviews both in Agoda and tripadvisor. When we arrived at the hotel, the reviews really did DESCRIBE the hotel. I love the Modern Vintage theme of the hotel! =) I love the free mini bar! 1. The hotel gives you a general feeling of being at home, i love their beds, pillows, and the feel of the room. 2. Hotel Staff are always very helpful and courteous, they even provided us with a supply of mask daily, and they gave my daughters a pack of chocolates. 3. The location is perfect! within walking distance from the night market, Lotte Department Store, the subway stations. tons delicious food places to try, the best Korean barbecue (Park's Chicken Restaurant/BBQ/ Roast) is right in front of the hotel. I love everything about the hotel, and will definitely stay here again. =)

Really loved this hotel. The hotel has a great location - very near the main shopping/street vendor streets in Myeongdong, so there's tons of things to do/places to eat nearby. The hotel has a cute theater theme to it, with cool vintage theater gear featured throughout the hotel, and a bag of caramel corn to welcome you when you check in. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable, while the free mini bar came in handy for late night cravings. Finally, every staff member I interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a one night stop of in South Korea on the way to Madrid and after a little research online I booked hotel 28. Being Australian with no Korean language skills and limited travel experience was a little nervous and had no idea where anything was as it was a 1st Visit. On the Hotel 28 website in stated it was close to the Myeongdong street markets which is what we wanted to explore. We checked in and the staff were so lovely. Probably the most welcoming staff I have ever encountered, the even walk you to the room and show you the amenities and had a couple of rather tasty beers free of charge chilled for us. The room itself was immaculate and well appointed with many little touches of luxury. When we went downstairs out of the hotel- wouldn’t you know it- we were smack bang in the middle of the street markets. We wandered for a few hours eating and admiring the sights and made our way back to the hotel. Our only regret is we only had one night! Fabulous and will stay again.

Just a 2 min walk away from Euljiro-il ga Station, exit 6, you will reach Hotel 28 that is surrounded by food and shopping right downstairs of your hotel. Love love love the locations, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and how comfortable it was throughout my stay. It is so centralised that it is so easy to navigate around to different locations in Seoul. Will definitely recommend anyone looking for a hotel in Seoul to book Hotel 28 Myeongdong and I will definitely be back for sure!

独り旅でもリラックス出来る貴重なホテルです。 I appreciate hospitality of staff in this hotel even short staying. I had a trouble with SIM card for smart phone and he helped me very kindly, thank you so much. Room and bathroom are very clean and additionally amenities are greater than others. You will find some free drink except bottle of natural waters in refrigerator. I didn’t figure out all charming points yet so I will be back there next staying too.

Best hotel ever stayed at”
Hotel 28 went over and above to make our stay exceptional. From the great customer service to providing us with a complimentary toiletries bag when there was a blackout that was entirely not their fault and lasted for only an hour I cannot day thanks to the staff enough for our stay. The hotel itself is exceptional. It’s new and clean and compared to other hotels we stayed at for the rest of our trip really was luxury. Thank you Hotel 28!! :)

Chanced upon this hotel while browsing for hotels in Myeongdong. And i’m so happy i found it! Pros: Location: 10/10 everything is within reach. Surrounded by restaurants (Din tai fung on the 2nd floor of the building, and lots of chicken and beer restaurants directly in front) and shops (ABCmart etc) in Myeongdong. Airport bus stop is very near hotel. Comfort/Room decor: 9/10 understated elegance. Design is on point with the hotel’s theme. Clean. Toilet same as Japan’s toilet (which is very nice). Aircon is very good. Comfortable bed. Room size is bigger compared to usual hotels in myeongdong. Facilities: 10/10 Has a Gym!!! Staff: 10/10 courteous, helpful and they speak eanglish (very helpful for tourists). Hotel 28 will always be our hotel in Myeongdong :)

The staff are amazing at this hotel. Extremely helpful, very kind and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. Very appreciative that on arrival the staff suggested and switched us to adjoining rooms!!! Bathrooms space plenty big, esp nice shower. We had facial and massage at the spa Around the corner. The hotel will make appt for you and it was out of this world perfect!!! Highly recommend Hotel 28.!!!!

Made our stay super worth it!!”
We booked two rooms and arrived at 7:30am. The hotel staff were so kind in accomodating us when we requested to have our belongings kept by the hotel while we go around since check in time was still at 3pm. When it was time to check in, they were also so kind to help us with our luggages in going into our rooms. They gave us a welcome gift kit and we loved it! The things inside were so useful! Anyway, something came up during our stay and they were very understanding with our situation; they even did what they could to help us. I strongly recommend this hotel! We really loved the hotel. While it is a small luxury hotel, its comfort far exceeded our expectations. We are quite particular with hotels and will not hesitate to pay more for comfort in big established brands. Hence, we were alittle anxious when we booked the hotel. My 14 year old son even remarked that we should go for such small luxury hotels instead of big hotel chain the next time, when he saw the room after we checked in. Indeed value for.money.

Location was great, near to many different restaurants and retail shops which made it very convenient. Was also very close to the train station which made travel extremely convenient as well. Staffs were all very kind with superb service! Extremely nice rooms that were well decorated. Great deal for the price that I paid. They also offered to waive early check-in fees due to avaialbility.

Very impressed with the hotel. Small boutique hotel but they kept well clean! Upon arrival the hotel provide us the set of hand gel and mask. You could ask for new ones if you ran out. This is during earlier stage of break out of covid 19 early Feb 2020 and i thought this is a nice touch of the hotel. You come back to hotel everyday feeling the room is properly cleaned. Location is great. Would revisit again.

The location was excellent, near to stations, money changer, food and airport bus. However its hard for taxi to get a to drop u at the door step of the hotel due to human traffic. If you need to take a taxi drop at ibis and walk in would be a better option. The rooms were clean and the design of the bathroom was simple but wow. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was so spacious and luxurious for a small boutique hotel in the city. I agree with all the other positive reviews. And they even gave us a refund when the changed their breakfast menu to a cheaper one after we booked it. The breakfast was still good; small, delicious and not overfilling. I also had a facial next door as the hotel provided a discount. The only con was that my bed was near the window facing the lively restaurants in front of the hotel. So you probably won’t get much peaceful rest if you turn in on an early Saturday evening. The subway was easy to get to as well but the exits got quite confusing. Exit 5 is where the elevator is if you’re carrying luggage anyway. Highly recommended.
