Big comfy room with super delicious food during new years eve”
Love our room! Super clean, spacey, comfy and the food was excellent. It was during new years eve and we didn't know where to eat so we decided to order room service. Turns out the food was super awesome! really recommended to stay in this hotel. Near Munich central station and the staff was super helpfull. Will stay again at this hotel next time visiting Munich.

Good location and good staff ”
The hotel is central located. Staff members are very helpful. Thoughtfully they place enough umbrellas for guests uses at the entrance, during the rainy days. The restaurant on Ground floor is very good, you need to book early. Concierge is very helpful and gave good directions for sightseeing. Decent size room and good room service too.

Stayed for a week at the Excelsior. Was very happy with our choice. Great hotel with nice large room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect to access the sights of Munich with trams, train and subway all very close by. Short stroll to Old Town. Will definitely recommend.

Room is smaller and older than that shown in the photos, but the picture of the bathroom is realistic. Not too bad in overall. Just a bit overpriced.

Please be aware the hotel excelsior does not consider your reservation as any type of guarantee. Despite booking several MONTHS in advance and paying in full PRIOR to arrival we were told the hotel was Sold out when we arrived and were moved to hotel down the street. ‘We are upgrading you’. Well as you can see by other reviews and prices the hotel Anna is ‘no upgrade’. On top of that, no assist offered in moving our luggage or real regrets in splitting up our group as some family members had arrived earlier. From what I can gather this is a common occurrence. Would have been happy with a true upgrade, an email ahead of time., a discount on bill or even a free breakfast but nothing but a ‘we already took your money now go away’. Elsewhere in Bavaria hospitality was spot on.

Stop ! No spa, no sauna !!! ”
This is available for many months because of building reconstruction. On their website they do not say it... And as I was not happy about that, they just give me 30 € refund for 5 nights and cost of more 600 €.

As above. Bar area a little too small/ cramped but this is the only negative. Very helpful staff, would highly recommend.

Very satisfying stay”
We were very impressed with this hotel the moment we arrived. The unique lobby and lobby lounge was impressive and the staff was very friendly and helpful too. The room was spacious given the hotel location right next to the Central Train Station. Breakfast was great too...they have everything we wished to have. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely return in the near future.

Great location, very good reception staff but poor room with a smell”
Victoria's service from Excelsior reception has been impeccable. Her great smiles warms people up easily. Location is also excellent which is next to the main train station. Room condition should be much better. Bed is small and room has a smell. No air conditioning on 2nd floor. Its quiet though and a new refurbished toilet which is the only highlight.

Strategically Located, Friendly Staff n Comfy”
All staff were friendly and helpful, to mention a few, Victoria, Stephen etc. Clean and very comfortable room. Great location, abt 5min walk to main train station with varieties of essential shops in the neighbourhood ie pharmacies, supermarket, cafe etc. and less than 15min walk to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt with yummy Germans meals to enjoy.
