The Lancaster”
Prior to COVID epidemic I stayed at Lancaster a number of times each year. In May 2022 travel restrictions in Vietnam were reduced and I returned to Ho Chi Minh staying at the Lancaster for 14 nights. Same as my earlier Lancaster holiday time. Everything I needed to assist me having another great experience in Ho Chi Minh City was my stay with Lancaster Apartments

Nice facilities for an extended stay”
I had a simple studio, but good value for money. Having some simple kitchen facilities was nice. Lots of nice Japanese restaurants, as well as some western and Vietnamese choices nearby. I'm in HCMC often, and will likely stay at The Lancaster again.

On my second visit, they gave me the same studio I had the first time. Again, good value for money. Having some simple kitchen facilities was nice. Lots of Japanese restaurants, as well as some western and Vietnamese choices nearby. I'm in HCMC often, and will likely stay at The Lancaster again.

Better alternative options”
Great location but the property is very tired. Lack of basics such as coat hangars. Repeatedly had to ask for iron that was supposedly in the room but was not. Staff helpful and well intentioned but this property feels it is managed by a property developer rather than a hospitality company. For the same price you can get much better service in more comfortable and modern rooms.

We got checked in to a very old, run down room that stank insanely like cigarette smoke. After talking to the staff we luckily got a new room which was a little more updated however still obviously a smoking room. Even shower towels stink. The standard is very low considering the price of 70 USD a night. Location is great but that's it really.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. On the day before i checked out, 4 men wearing mask entered my room and insisted on coming in while i was at the shower. I was very shocked and surprised why strangers have access to my room before my checked out timing of 12pm. When i asked the staffs in the reception they said they have no idea and didn't do anything about it. What if i wasn't in the roon and my properties were stolen? Very bad experience and will not come to this hotel again!

This is a very very old and broken building that does not deserve the price tag its asking for. The owners are probably leveraging on the location but refused to spend a cent to do it up until it needs to. Your money is better spent in so many places. Book immediately if you like a challenging place to stay and don't know what to do with your money.

Value for money apartment for family”
We booked a 2 bdrm apartment, the place was clean, tidy and spacious. The kids were so excited as there was actually a bathtub in the 2 toilets. The apartment location is also accessible, with walking distance to many 24hrs food/grocery place like family mart etc. The building already had their own 7/11 located in the premises. Overall recommended.

Covers the basics very well .studio apartment more spacious than a hotel room , breakfast delivered each morning .. Ask for late Check out , charged well consider I stay 12 nights .. Good overall
