Great value, close to beach ”
Excellent value accommodation, super comfy beds. Good sized rooms with safe and good luggage/hanging storage. Short walk to Ong Lang beach. Heaps of bars, restaurants close by. Must try the egg coffee!

Great location close to beach”
We had a great time here as two couples. The two bed town house was perfect for us. Plenty of space to hang out and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were functional but could have been cleaner. There was basic kitchen facilities as well if you’re so inclined. Great location in the Ong Lang beach area. About a 5 minute walk to a great and clean beach with beautiful sunset views. We were all glad we decided on this location as oppose to Duong Dong town and long beach area. There are some great restaurants in the area all walkable from the property and if you do decide to venture elsewhere a taxi to town will be around 150-200,000 dong and to the prison was about 400-450,000. We arranged a shuttle to the airport and paid slightly less than a taxi with meter and went with no issues. The ladies who run the place are very friendly but English is limited so be prepared to research your own things or ask at other places. Very happy with our stay.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Mayfair Valley and I highly recommend it. Ms Mai and her family are helpful and friendly. The property is well taken care of. We loved coming back to clean and air conditioned rooms after staying on the beach and waking up to a full breakfast. We took a taxi to Bai Sao for $375 vnd one way which was reasonable for our group of 4 and a beautiful beach. Be sure to rent a motorbike early in the morning or else they run out.

The bungalows are in a good location close to a reasonably clean beach and 25 mins walk to a besutiful one at Ong Lang. There are some lovely restaurants close by and So True is especially worth a mention. The actual bungalows themselves are nice - spacious and relatively new however they lack the attention to detail of other places. We stayed for 4 nights and water was only provided on the first day and there was no daily cleaning service at all. I had to ask for toilet roll. There was quite a considerable amount of mould on the bathroom ceiling. The mini bar fridge was empty and also mouldy in places. Furniture was sparse - a table and chairs would have been nice and there is plenty of room for a wardrobe and a bedside table on both sides of the bed. No in room tea or coffee facilities either. The lady manager spoke no English and didn't do a lot There needs to be more written guidance in the rooms so guests understand the protocol ie timings for breakfast, daily cleaning etc.

Hosts are very friendly. Only one speaks good English, but we had lots of fun with the translator ap! Location is close to Ong Lang beach and a few decent restaurants. Nice clean rooms.

the Bungalow was very new and nicely furnished. we had everything we needed even a brand new safe. the breakfast was very good with free eggs and pancakes. we liked the location as it was halfway between the beach and the restaurants. you can also rent a scooter for a good price. the best thing about it though was the owner! she was so lovely and even drove us to the bus station when we had to leave. would always stay there again!

No cleaning”
I know a lot of reviews are good but I must speak as I find.we were there for 9 nights, egg and bread every day. The bed was not changed at all even though I asked twice the bathroom was only cleaned when I asked for a 3 rd time and then the already sullen girl refused to speak or even look at us. The owner was very helpful and friendly but she wasn't there all the time. Only good for 1 or 2 nights.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for your inconvenience. Our rooms are cleaned everyday, bedsheets are changed every 2 days or as frequently as requested. However, due to the nature of water on Phu Quoc island, some white sheets are stained with unrecoverable patches of yellow. It thus perhaps appears as dirty. The room keeping staff at Mayfair Valley do not speak English well. They are thus shy and may not understand your requests. We apologise for the staff attitude that came across as "sullen" and "refused to speak or even look". This will not happen again in the future. Breakfast that is included are standard bread with eggs and pancakes with coffee, tea or orange juice. There are options to top up for more variety upon request. We value your feedback and will do the necessary to improve.

Excellent location. A 3 min walk to a secluded section of the beach. By a cool bar and a few great local restaurants. Be aware that it is quite far from the airport, so a cab will run you $15 or so one way. Room was clean and large, breakfast was decent.

The owner is really nice and cute while the staff is more distant and seem to be a little unmotivated. The place is nice close to a few restaurants in a quite area. Beach is quite close., I'd say a 7 mins walk. Try bai sao Beach for at least a day. It's amazing!!! The bungalow as well as the house were nice and worth the money. I booked a bungalow and they even gave me the house with two floors for one night which was great. AC could be a bit better.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Mayfair! Just a couple minute walk to the beautiful beach and restaurants all around. Great little place with a great location and a delicious breakfast. Everyone was friendly and very helpful when needed.

Perfect value and location”
Ong Lang is a beautiful beach and hotel is 4 minute walk to it. Perfect location half way between beach and small town area with restaurants (RIBS at no name BBQ!) and small shops. Owner husband and wife so kind and will help you with anything you need. Breakfast was ok. Banana pancake not the best. If you want to go snorkelling highly recommend booking at the dive place in town rather than through hotel. Only problem we had was had to move from room 1 as they had a problem with smell from the bathroom. Overall highly recommend

Exceptional Stay”
Simply put, best place we've stayed while traveling in SEA for past 3 months. We initially booked 3 night but extended to 6. This is the best location on the island, you are 4-5 min walk from beach but not paying beach-front prices. The beach it self is one of the best on the island. Side note, you can use the umbrella and chairs in the beach for free, no need to buy anything (which are owned by the Coco Palm Resort). We used them every day and no one hassled or bothered us. You are close to incredible food. And you are away from the crowds of main town. The rooms are new and beautiful, great bathroom with great hot water pressure. The owners are extremely sweet and kind, they want to make sure you are enjoying your self. The breakfasts are the best weve had in Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. Several options to choose from but i always ordered the omelete, fresh bread, coffee, fruit, and a banana pancake - All included in free breakfast. Im not sure if they indend to keep the free pancakes. They started dishing out pancakes to everyone the second morning of our stay and kept yhem coming every morning after :) A couple things to be aware of, they want to hold on to your passports while you stay at their guesthouse/hotel. Apparently there are "shake downs" on the island by police and if they cant prove their (the owners) guests they are required to pay a fine - $500. You will also need to ask to have your room cleaned, they are not proactive in cleaning which is the only reason i gave them a 4/5 on the entire review. Cheers and enjoy your holiday here!!!

I booked this location, as I was on a budget, and wanted to stay near my friend, who were in a more expensive resort. My stay at the Mayfair Bungalows so was wonderful. It's just a short walk to the beach (5 minutes) and in a very quiet location. It's only a short 20 minute taxi / motorbike road into the main town / night market area. The rooms were very modern, clean and spacious. A simple but good breakfast is offered if it is included in the price of your room... omelette with bread, and also I'd recommend ordering a banana pancake to go with it... so yummy!! The thing that REALLY made my stay, was the wonderfully warm and genuine service offered by the owners. Miss Diem is so friendly, helpful and clearly loves running this small family business. It's that personal touch and welcome that can often be so hard to find! Great place, if you're on a budget, and want a good quiet location, near to the beach, with great service!!
