Troppo lontana dal centro”
Lo staff parla poco inglese e sono poco affidabili come i tassisti.
Nice Villa,Friendly Staff, You can see Mekong River in your room”
Very nice place, quiet and beautiful, the staff is kindly and helpful, Price is very amazing for you can see Mekong River in your room. Just a little far from city, whatever, they will rent you a free motorbike. And the staff will carry you to the airport. Cheap &Happy!
awesome view, clean and luxurious rooms BUTlocation is 7 kms from city center”
Pros: - friendly staff - awesome view of river and hills - rooms are spacious and quite luxurious for the price. Cons: - there is a hotel with same name in city center without 'II' but adds to the confusion, maybe whilst booking hotel could add a on-liner so guests are not a bit lost . - 50,000 kip or 6/7 dollars one way to city center (hotel provides tuk tuk but only twice a day - not enough) - far from city center so either be ready to spend tuk tuk or ride a scooter.
Excellent❗️ A wonderful landscape overlooking the Mekong River from the room.”
You can touch the lives of people in real Laos. It is around 20 minutes by motorbike to the center. There is rental at 50000LAK a day. I took a 30 - minute walk to a convenience store every morning.
The staff were friendly and helpful. This place is farther out of town (not near walking distance to the bridge as someone else reviewed), you need transportation but they have that covered! They offer a free shuttle to town 3 x a day at 10am/12pm/5pm return time from Joma Cafe is 5:30pm/9pm. I had the deluxe twin, the room is beautiful and modern, with good tv options, the room size was large, the beds were COMFY, there was a balcony. The only other drawback was the bugs in the bathroom but that may be partly due to the windows being open. They could probably use a curtain over the bathroom window but it wasn't a biggie., there is a mini fridge. The breakfast was good and simple, with eggs, fruit, bread and coffee and a great view of the Mekong River. The price seemed a bit high for Asia and Laos. Cool place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would recommend
The Mekong river view from my room is amazing! The staff are very friendly and helpful.”
The location of this hotel is a little bit far from the city about 15 mins. However, the hotel provides free shuttle to city certain times in a day. They also have free bike rental. And cheaper rental for motorbike compared to if you rent in the city.
Peaceful and good service ”
This place have nice rooms with a super view on the Mekong. It is a little far from downtown but is compensated by a good shuttle service in a brand new van with a excellent English speaking driver. I recommend they advertise more the different free pickup times they offer in town in back to the Hotel. There is no restaurant so the game plan is to bring something back from the city for dinner or eat in town and comeback with the 9:00 pm shuttle
I was sad to leave. Felt like a 2nd home.”
Wow. Everyone here is so genuine, kind, warm, caring, courteous, and professional. We stayed for 8 days and were extremely satisfied. Kim the manager, La the night staff, Chan the morning staff, and the cook were all so friendly and wonderful. No hassles here at all and they'll accommodate your every need. They would go to the store to fetch me food and drink. Anything I wanted! AMAZING SERVICE! For short excursions, they even let us use a scooter gratis (just paid for gas). I ride motorcycles and we were staying at their most expensive suite for 8 days, so not sure if that was a "deluxe suite perk", but we were thrilled. So peaceful right on the Mekong. A couple of days, we didn't even want to go into town because it was so stress-relieiving and serene there. I want to come back to visit L.P. and when I do, I will most definitely stay here. Best place we've stayed so far on our 3 month Asia tour. Only con: Internet is slow, but we work whilst traveling, so for casual use, it's ok.
Wonderful hotel and great service”
We just spent 3 nights in Luang Prabang at this wonderful hotel. The staff did everything they could to make our stay wonderful and arranged for tours and transport to the city center. would like to stay again in next time.
Nice small Hotel with huge rooms on the Mekong river ”
Nice small Hotel with huge rooms on the Mekong river! You can spend there a good Time, quiet and with a good view on the river! The Friendly Stuff prepared the bycicles or the scooter to give ur self a lift or shuttle you to the city Center. Top
I will not go back”
Exclusively for those tourists who are ready to travel on bikes. If you are not on bikes, then the hotel does not have territory, swimming pool, garden, sunbeds, etc. You will be limited to the balcony and the room. Ask for the second or third floor, the rooms are better and there is no dampness. To the hotel there is no classical road and around the traditional poor village. Chickens, geese, ducks, dirt, plastic waste, puddles, clothes dried, local children wash with soap in the rain, old cars, etc. For a city dweller, it may be unusual or even shock. The hotel has provided two free transfers (city hotel, hotel-airport). Locals are friendly. We managed to buy drinking water without extra charge. Summary. This is a very simple hotel for overnight stays with hot water and internet, not a boutique hotel with a special atmosphere, cleanliness and service. I will not go back and I recommend to abstain.
Beautiful room, exceptional staff. We loved our room with a view of the river.”
The staff was some of the most helpful and friendliest we have encountered over our entire Holiday. We loved this place, and they do a great job at taking care of everything for you. Really 4 star customer service, which really stood out and awesome location. The 2 guys who work the front desk go above and beyond.
The place is so so quiet with nicest view in the city. ”
The best view in town. We booked a Riverview room which is fantastic. The air is fresh. You will enjoy the morning scene. The staff is super friendly. They have shuttle bus services that could take you back and forth between the space and to town. We would recommend the third floor riverside rooms. Breakfast is usually served on the deck, each plate is made specifically for you and it is nice. We got to rent a motorcycle from the place and the fee was only 50000 kips at the time. Though, you could also book it for a free ride to the city. Please consider this place if you wish to enjoy your own time in this quiet community.
The location was nice but the deck wasn't a great place to hang out as I expected. The scooters were nice and it was a great way to explore, but the so called shuttle was more than 40 minutes late. Also shower was not cold. It was a good hotel, but they need to sort that shuttle and the hot water for that price.
Far from town free shuttle service”
Free shuttle town/ airport Best place if you want a lazy quiet day Shuttle to town 10am & 5 pm Shuttle from town 9pm If you wanna go to town on other timing driver will charge 50k kip. Depends how you plan your trip. But yea somehow inconvenient if you wanted to go for alms giving or stay late at town. If you intend for a slow and relaxing trip, you may consider to stay here
Makong View Mekong Moon Inn”
The hotel is located aside of Mekong river with beautiful and serene view. However, it is traded off with the remote location from the city, of course it is costly for extra transportation and inconvenient for non vehicle tourist. However it is not much our problem since we drive our car to Luangprabang. Everything is too far from the activites, nothing to do in the hotel except you need the peaceful escape from crowed . The breakfast is okay with standard ABF. while enjoying the cup of coffee at the Mekong river bank. Overal if you don't have your own transportation, you may see other choice better.
Nice for couples”
Stayed for one night to recuperate, really nice rooms, clean and spacious, bed really comfy. Lovely breakfast area however no resturant to grab anything without leaving the hotel and walking a good way.
good hotel for relaxing in Luang Prabang”
i was first guest in the Mekong Moon Inn 2 (River side). First I could not find where the hotel is, so its better you ask them for picking up from airport. I recommend this hotel for couples. You can relax and enjoy the scenery. Rooms are really clean and comfortable. For the breakfast, i got pork porridge or american breakfast. you can eat in the balcony. Staffs are very kind and the van can take you to the town (takes about 10-15min). If you wanna refresh in Luang Prabang, I recommend this hotel.
When we checked in we were the first visitors of the hotel; it just opened. This might of course make our experience very different from how future guests might experience the hotel. The room was big, brand new and (obviously) clean, the bed and sheets were new (and awesome!). We slept like Cinderella. The staff was most friendly, but during breakfast we noticed their inexperienceness (first day, so what do you expect). They only served instant 3-in-1 coffee (coffee/milk/sugar), which was awful, so I hope this is something they will improve on. The staff offered free transport to the city centre, which was a 25 minute drive. We even got free transport to our next guest house the next day, which was even further away from the centre. Important to note is that the hotel only serves breakfast and there are no dinner facilities in the surrounding. You will have to go down town to find a restaurant. Considering the Chinese new year (which made room prices go sky high), we found the hotel reasonably priced. We've seem equally priced rooms that weren't half as good as this one.
nice hotel but inconvenient, VERY far from town”
Pros: view of makong, clean large room, great breakfast, free shuttle into town Cons: very inconvenient location: hotel is 6 km from town - hotel offers a shuttle by with traffic it takes about 40 minutes to drive to town and we waited about 40 minutes to get picked up. Not worth it.
