We really enjoyed our stay at The Mercure Alice Springs. Check in was super fast. The front desk staff were friendly and informative of things within the resort and events happening in Town. The room was super clean, spacious and appeared to be newly renovated. It was a short walk to the Town Centre. The Pool area was pleasant and a welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing. Both the café and restaurant offered a good range at reasonable prices. I noticed the complex also had a guest laundry though we didn't use it. If we were to travel to Alice Springs again we would definitely stay at the Mercure and highly recommend it to all.

Enjoyed our stay. Nice room with everything we required. Tap drips in basin. Fan extremely loud, pity it’s not in a separate switch. Nice breakfast. Convenient location within walking distance of centre.

Good rest for 2 nights to discover Alice Springs”
Good cleanliness. Bed is very comfortable. Air condition works well. It is safe. The swimming pool is very nice. - bathroom is quite small. The remote of TV does not work properly. Freeze of the fridge does not work. I could not make ice for my drinks. Restaurant: food is not bad but it is too expensive. Luckily I had a discount when showing the ACCO membership. The waitress ( Chinese lady) should learn more polite manners in English speaking. If we asked something not available in the menu, you should say “SORRY” we don’t serve this... instead of saying “NO” and “this is for...”

The staff are nice and very helpful. Also, the room is clean and nice as advertised on the web. The only downside of this hotel would be the location which is located a bit accross the river which makes you have to walk pass areas which some "locals" usually loiter to get to the town center. I would like to advise you to take extra percuation during these walks and avoid walking at night time. For those planning to stay in this hotel, the staff is very helpful in advising about what should be careful in Alice during your stay.

We have stayed here many times before and this time were pleased to see the installation of more security cameras around the facility. A couple of things could be improved further when finances allow - 1) more shade is needed by the immediate poolside seating area and over the pool itself. 2) Dinner not up to it's usual standard. We chose the same selection as last time as it was delicious, however this time it was very average. Meals luke-warm. We asked for them to be reheated which they did. Presentation not as good and service definitely not as good. Our main meals were brought out and placed in front of us before we had even finished the entrée. It felt like we were being rushed. No one came over and asked how the meals were at any stage. New chef? Not great. Hope it improves and the waiting staff get more training as we will try again one day soon. No compensation was offered - it would not have taken much to make things right. A free house wine would have been appreciated.

Old but convenient hotel close to centre. ”
Easy checking in & out. Friendly receptionist. Plenty of parking. Very good free wifi. Good restaurant within. Good place to stay for ạ few days but the hotel is really due for a make over.

My second stay (an improvement)”
My previous stay at the hotel was noted for towels with holes in them and very shoddy room service. this time the towels were acceptable. There was a towel incident though (becoming a pattern here), whereupon contacting the Front Desk to find out where my pool towel was, there was a need for someone to come and check my room because maybe I did not know how to look in the cupboard to find a towel. It was after this room inspection that, it was noted there was no towel for me and I was given a towel for use at the pool. It is the small things. But overall the staff were great, the service was good. I ate breakfast only in the restaurant. My previous evening meal in the restaurant will not see me back eating there again soon.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and very clean. Excellent selection in mini bar and loads of toiletries. Beds were very comfortable and by far the best pillows I’ve ever had at a hotel. Cons: check in took ages. We were told we had interconnecting rooms only to find out they were not interconnecting when we opened the door. We tried to ring the front desk and no one answered the phone. There were no pool towels in our room so had to wait 15 min to get some from front desk (which is a lifetime for 4 hot, energetic small kids !) Enjoyed a nice meal at the hotel restaurant, Barra on Todd. Long and short: excellent accomodation if all goes well, but if you need staff assistance...no one seems to be around nor do they answer the phone!

Wonderful city hotel, close to city. Some decor is dated but well kept. Very secure resort. Lacking some basic facilities such as modern lifts and porter

Staff awesome ”
Due to the incompetence of this app ( Agoda ) my trip to Alice springs started off on a very bad way. I was in a very bad mood when I first spoke to staff at the Mercure. But due to their awesome staff they turned it around and made my trip a very memorable one. Thank you Mercure.

We have stayed here many times. Walking distance to town, nice restaurant and pool. Unfortunately the night we stayed this time several cars got broken into. Girl at reception was clearly embarrassed when i mentioned that the smashed glass was still in the carparks when those cars had gone and we were checking out. Not a good look for guests. I will not return until cameras / more security is in place. Cameras do not show carpark area. Although a Security company does patrol periodically it is not enough.
